aye88: I would have adviced you to use that visa and travel if you are going for childbirth and if your due date isn't that far off. Rather than applying for a new visa and not getting it. I’m not pregnant yet I still dey plan whether or not to try I’ve not decided |

Hi Kemo88 , please when did you schedule your appointment and when was your interview if you don’t mind. My visa expires on 20th of this month but when I tried to do a dummy reschedule I wasn’t seeing the date of the closest appointment. I wanted to be sure there was a close date before I pay and I see November. |

I want her to go alone for the interview, pls I need ur help about how we can package it If she can’t speak English declare it while filing the form they’ll get a translator or an officer that speaks her language. There’s no need to package anything just state it as it is and let them know she can’t speak English, if there’s no provision for this on her DS-160 tell her as soon as she gets there she should let them know she can’t speak English language and they’ll sort her out |

Also there’s this lady who used to post a lot here about elpaso birthing vlezpara or so I’m not sure I got the name right sha but I think they offer the full package that covers doctor , hospital, accommodation in elpaso- if you don’t mind going there |

Mmamaroon: They should be more responsive than Lagos VFS though, try calling/emailing to follow up, or maybe it's not VFS delays now but the VOs....na wa!
Every stage of this EE is a battle..... To pass IELTS, to conquer TEF, school & transcript, hustling of POF, in some cases convincing of spouses....all this is without COVID.
Then COVID came with PPR delays, expiring travel restrictions....
#GodHelpUs #CoronaCome&Go That spouse convincing is the biggest of all the problems o |

BFWestAfrican: To his credit, he didn't say Learn French. He said one could sit for a French test. The original poster didn't provide much details about their background. On here, certain preconceptions seem to be the norm. We tend to assume that every poster is French naive. We tend to assume that every poster resides in Nigeria. Anyway, I believe that any who gives off his/her time here does so out of pure motives. And as frequently said, it is important to engage in research and not merely rely on opinions given here. First off don’t quote me as to your popular opinion on misconceptions.who is talking about everyone living in Nigeria and everyone not understanding French. What are we saying what are you saying. It’s as simple as ABC why should I learn French or take French exams of I understand French when I can max our IELTS. Please don’t quote me again on this issue and quote the original poster so you both can keep giving credits to yourselves. |

phabulous88: I am not going to beat you, Lol.
Listen doesn’t have to be 8. There are several ways of increasing your CRS score with a low Listening score, writing the French exam (TEF) being one.
In fact, with a 6 in Listening, and an average TEF score, you can get up to 490 CRS score.
Check the CRS simulation yourself. I honestly don’t understand all your points because they don’t seem reasonable enough and I apologize Ahead if it comes across as an insult because it’s not intended to be one. Why should I below 30 With masters learn French To make up for a point i can’t get it I max out IELTS. Is it that easy to dedicate time to learning a new language, stress , resources etc. French is a matter of last resort for most people due to not having a masters degree or age not being on their side or something else and not for making up an an IELTS deficiency. Please don’t mislead people who rely solely on what they see written on here without doing thorough research. |

phabulous88: Listening doesn’t have to be minimum of 8
Though having 8 in Listening, and 7 in the other modules will give her a higher score. Normally I won’t respond but I will answer this one! What’s your point?? listening doesn’t have to be 8 , if listening isn’t 8 what’s the use of the result because she’s short of 50 points If listening isn’t 8 if reading and other modules aren’t 7. Why did I keep retaking IELTS if listening didn’t need to be 8 ? Going by the current trends if you don’t max out there’s no space for you due to competitiveness. So listening must be 8 I am in my house come and beat me. |

solelymade: There shouldn't be much issues here... Let her provide them with; 1.employment letter, 2. payslips, 3. her work ID Card or complimentary card, 4. get a colleague preferably a senior colleague or direct line manager to write her a work reference on a plain sheet of paper(scan the colleague's Idcard/complimentary card at the bottom/top corner ). THIS IS ABOUT THE MOST IMPORTANT, IT NEEDS TO CAREFULLY DETAIL HER WORK DESCRIPTION IN LINE WITH NOC 2171. No need for any letterhead. Carefully address it to IRCC. 5. copy the above response to RL request too... 6. A letter of explanation.
Make it quick. Keep all the move discreet. Good luck She has submitted, the supervisor initially agreed to write the letter and later said he can’t write it as his job as at stake. She had to submit all of the above except a reference and included a JD given by HR |

Mmamaroon: Debbie you are a good friend.......
.....in case other people are planning to write their reference themselves or even planning to leave out a ref letter altogether in the hope that their employment letter, payslips, ID etc will suffice.
Read this Federal Court Decision:
https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/602#91022987 Thank goodness for responding to my many questions and for Nairaland because she really needed to hear from another person to be convinced about her decision and thankfully she took the advice given thereby not risking a refusal. |
