lorenzos1: Dis guy just got sacked.... haba u dont have to post d bank or branch....! In as much as I do not support such unethical behaviour, it's rather silly for someone to have recorded such and posted it online. This is the main reason why certain people jump into avoidable death. What if a security personnel had shot him thinking he is a spy who intends robbing the bank. BTW, no one can prove the location or person (s) in such a video, hence, no one is losing his/her job except for the person (who is probably a staff) taking such video. Until we learn how to mind our business... |

While in school, I was threatened so many times by a cult group to leave a particular girl that always visit me, but Amaka would not listen. If they had killed me then, only few would know the cause of my death. Rumor mongers will say I was a cultist! Most times they won't kill you but threaten you and if you persist, they will beat you mercilessly. Cultists kill their rivals (basically hitmen/capon) during their final exams. That's when the battle of supremacy and reprisal is fierce. |

You dont substitute your main impact player when u are not winning convincingly You just nailed it. Though the team allowed Algerians to bring the game to them; especially towards the end of the second half, Chukwueze's substitution was a big error cos his threat meant a lot in the game. |

otokx: What I observed was that some of this RACTECH tried to show themselves as superior beings because they are holding a tab. I however put them in their place as the manual was quite clear, PO submits results and SCR to Ward CO who collates and submits result to LG CO and SCR is returned to EO. If EO wants to give duplicate copy for transmission that is his business but nobody will make my work harder or waste my time in some remote area. Thanks for making it clearer. All I wanted to know is who RATECH is, who employed them and what their job role is, in connection with what the electoral act says. |

Daboomb: He is certainly not an illegal "adhoc worker" of INEC. (He is not a Staff though, staffing goes beyond "employment", even if not adhoc, it involves "probation and confirmation of that employment"
he will be mor eproperly defined as an "Adhoc Employee" of INEC.
But the crux of the matter here is that INEC, which reserves the right to stipulate the the duties, responsibilities and SCOPE of SUTIES" of anybody it hires, albeit temporarily or permanently, has said that this "RATECH" employee has gone beyond his "SCOPE OF ASSIGNED DUTIES", if he actually "transmit results electronically" to a supposed INEC Server!
This RATECH might also he opening himself to jail time, for contravening the Electoral Act, which forbids the transmission of election results, ELECTORNICALLY. I just hope, in his zeal to support a "partisan policy" (he is Igbo and we know where the allegiance of most Igbos lie, between APC and PDP), he wont land himself in jail, after the election Petition has been decided, because he is making his testimony ON OATH!
If it is true testimony => he breaks the Electoral Act 2015 => JAIL TIME If it is false testimony => he is guilty of lying to the Court under Oath (Perjury) => JAIL TIME
It takes a really stupid individual, to emesh yourself into this kind of "power play" by Politicians, no matter how much they promise you! It wouldn't also be wrong for us to understand the role of the RATECH employee so we can truly determine if he actually went beyond his scope of assigned duties; not just to swallow what INEC told us. I appreciate your comment, but would appreciate it more if we can analyze without looking at the ethnic affiliation of the accused or defendant. |

garfield1: Nice submission.unfortunately, server results or manipulation of server results just like card reader accreditation is not a ground for nullifying elections according to that same electoral act and the supreme court clearly upheld it in 2016 At a point, I stopped following the electoral law as amended because of the delay in signing it into law. But I know that this is what the amendment look like so the issue of the 2016 verdict might not also hold; that is, if it was later signed into law. Insertion of a new subsection (1A) and amendment to subsection (5)The insertion of the new subsection 1A mandates the Commission to keep a Register of Voters as the National Register of Voters in its National Headquarters and other locations as it may determine. It also provides for the keeping of the Voters Register in an electronic format in INEC’s central database, as well as in manual, printed or hard copy format. Now the issue of 'the exact role of these technicians' comes to mind. If there's ever a RATECH, then there should be some kinda synergy. It's either they transmit a unanimous result as agreed by all other officers or they transmit exactly what the presiding officer announced (should announce). |
Politics › Re: It’s wrong to say results of presidential Poll were not transmitted - INEC Tech by decub: 4:18pm On Jul 08, 2019 |
garfield1: Not everything inec does is legal that is why there ale laws Well, the Electoral Act provides for the appointment of any other staff of the commission. It went on to grant INEC powers to delegate authority to any staff (ad hoc or permanent) so RATECH might not be illegal. If there is a RATECH (in the first place) appointed by the commission, trained by the commission and working for the commission under some specific instruction/guideline, then needless to call them illegal workers as the law already gave them such powers. |
Politics › Re: It’s wrong to say results of presidential Poll were not transmitted - INEC Tech by decub: 3:53pm On Jul 08, 2019 |
garfield1: He worked for inec quite alright but since he's not recognized by law,he is illegal and his role wont be captured by the court.transmission of results is clearly the job of p.os legally.ratechs are unknown. I think we also need to know what the electoral act says and whose information (combined) the Presiding officers depend on. If RATECH is not recognized by law, then who engaged them, and for what purpose? The whole thing is getting interesting cos it might dig up INEC loop holes. |

It's the very same technique used in transforming both children and adults into becoming suicide bombers.
The abusers manipulate the emotions of their victims. For rape victims, shame & denial/disbelief is at It's core.
There's no room for rationale thinking in questioning why victims didn't resist or didn't say anything earlier. Bros not once, not twice but trice from the same person and you still maintained some degree of family/spiritual r/ship with him. Wait until you hear the other side of the story. |

Now the big scare is, I stay in their house, and he has already bought this car just so I could be productive. If I turn it down, and he ask me to go look for another place to stay, where will I stay and be doing this paid jobs?!! OMG just too much on my head! Don't conclude yet and I don't think he would send you out for that reason. Just let him understand the dilemma and allow him advise. My kinda person would appreciate the fact that your hustle paid off, at least, it shows you want to be independent. However, if the best option is to do the Uber thing, I don't think it's bad decision; in my opinion. I understand the situation and how it feels but you can't be too sure; don't blackmail yourself emotionally yet. |
Career › Re: Three Job Offers!! Which Do I Chose? by decub: 9:13am On Jun 24, 2019 |
Perkins1: I am having a dilemma at hand. I have three job offers before me to choose from in 7 days!
First, I have been jobless for more exactly two years now. Last year I spoke with a friend we served together about my situation and he invited me to come stay with him in Lagos and try my luck in securing a job. So February last year I joined him in Lagos, started off with job hunting, before Two weeks my resources ran dry. Fortunately for us, he was staying in his parents house not paying rents (parents are in Abuja). February this year his elder brother was transfered to Lagos with his family (He work with a government security agency). The Bros saw how the two of us has been idle and he wasn't happy with it, so when I get invites for a job interview, the Bros supports me with transport fare and some confidence.
After many tries he called me and told me he wants to buy a car that I be using for Uber/Taxify that I will be giving return of 20,000 weekly against the 25-30k norms. I was overjoyed and thank him, he told me to go source for a car I'll like to use for the business then get back to him. Now he's bought the car, and gave me 30k to go make a drivers license, the very day he gave me the money I got a congratulatory message from one of the company I applied to come for offer letter, went there and the offer was 78k to be accepted or rejected before 30th June. On my way home I got a call for an HR job I did an interview with almost two months ago to come for documentation, got there the next day and was offered the job with 104k net.
Now I don't know which and what to DO!!! This one pass me aswerugad. Please Mods help push this to front-page and help me get suggestions please.
Mynd44 Lalasticlacla First thing first, discuss the job offers with the man that offered to buy you a car for Uber; accord him that respect. For me, it's a win win for everyone. Since you are most likely going for a career, throw the option of sourcing for someone else (with integrity) who needs a job (like you once did) so he can take up the Uber job (you've taken one job seeker off the street). On the 2 job offers: not all higher paying jobs are worth it. Look at both offers, weigh in on job security, job satisfaction, probable monthly expenditure, proximity, potentials of the company, and most importantly; career. The difference is 26k but there are jobs you will spend the 26k on the direct/indirect stress that come along with it. |

But why did they use that picture for his Obituary poster nah? It's because it's been long you played last or you've not been working out (my guess tho) but I don't think it's the case with this guy cos getting that name 'Coutinho' probably means he's been playing some street football. -She never had a boyfriend.
-She was raped
-She was a virgin.
I am really confuse here but suicide should never be an option. Believe this: she was a virgin because she never had a boyfriend/male friend/male acquaintance before she was raped which likely, might have ignited her move to commit suicide. But then, suicide shouldn't be an option. |

My advice to suicidal people: Come out in an open place with a bottle of sniper, lighter, and a gallon of fuel. Drink the sniper very fast, pour the fuel on yourself and spark the lighter shouting on top of your voice GIVE US LIGHT! GIVE US LIGHT!! GIVE US LIGHT!!!
Maybe you could be of a help to the rest of the remaining Nigerians This government no send you o, they will just ban sniper, ban sale of fuel in gallons and probably limit the age of those who can purchase lighter. |

We’ve placed the payment on hold because we noticed that you’re a new PayPal seller and will need time to build a positive selling history. The amount will appear in your pending balance and will be available after the order is fulfilled.
any solution? I think it's just an Escrow payment and the fund will be released once the order is fulfilled. Just be sure you didn't create the account illegally. Escrow payment protects the buyer for a specific period of time and litigates the risk of losing your fund to scammers. |

The problem is we only started this sex thing not long ago and I believe it has not been more than three times and before I know she said she is pregnant. I was confused but I had promised myself I would not want any lady to commit an abortion except she does such without my knowledge.
I decided to take responsibility of the pregnancy and see her parents. When I visited her parents I realized I don enter one chance because the juju I was seeing everywhere from their compound to even their living room got me worried.
The girl goes to church and likes to pray but how can you do that when you are living inside juju house. IsaAbubakar: hahahahahahaha guy like I said your opinion reeks of sentiments do you even know what it takes to get get a popular functioning OS up and running Infact do you even know what's developer license sef ? what are you even saying sef i ask you again will you pay a large amount of money to buy a phone that doesn't support whatsapp, Facebook, Instagram, twitter, and many other apps own by US developers abi you think the ban no reach that side
it's obvious you don't know Jack about smartphone sef Symbian died the moment they lost app licences of top apps so do blackberry lol oga forget sentiment huawei won't survive this go and learn how operating system works then you can be fit to argue with me
if all social apps they created (that runs on android) to rival American owned social apps didn't sill move or push through na operating system go move
leave sentiments America is not world power for nothing Isa, your blood dey hot! I think one of the problems we have in this part of the world is being overly loyal to US. Fine, they are the biggest economy, creates an environment to succeed and have the tendency to control the world market but do you know that sometimes, they survive by bullying, intimidation and media hype. Do you also know China is the fastest growing economy and second only to the same US. Without mincing words, what broke the camel's back is the 5G launch; no supreme power will allow a competitor thrive and US knows whom they are mindful of when the technology game is on course. Back to your stance. What it takes for an OS to be up and running is the technology, awareness, market, improvement and China has them all; every other attribute is linked to it. China is number 1 in reverse technology and second to none in improving on such prototype. If the war continues, US will win in a short term but with persistence and doggedness, Huawei or Chinese developed OS will become a very strong competitor for android! Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram that you mentioned are owned by the same company; Facebook which can go down and lose trust with a hack into their system; difficult but not impossible. Do you know that Facebook is not used in China (illegal) and some other countries, you can't make Whatsapp call in some countries too (UAE used to be one, don't know if the ban is still in place), yet they survive even in the social media circle. Do u also know that Facebook is facing some privacy issues even within it's origin country and some users have stated their discomfort in continuing with their services. Now go to the game of numbers, out of the world's population of over 7.7 Billion, China takes 1.4b, india takes 1.3b, US takes 400million. By continent, Asia takes 4billion, Africa takes 1billion, North America takes less than 500million, Europe 700 or so. Wechat boasts of over 1 billion users and Whatsapp is over 2 billion. What would happen if Huawei develops a competitive OS is that China and Chinese companies who are known to form allegiance with their own and also get support from their country is to get alternatives for those popular US developer apps you mentioned (which are already available), market them as in-built apps in their newer phones and encourage users to use them. As a matter of fact, I used Wechat even before I got to know of Whatsapp. And by the time I go to the market to buy a budget friendly phone, only to see all phones within my budget are Chinese phones running Chinese OS, I either increase my budget or won't own a phone but how many people are willing to pay more? It will take time but knowing that they have the market and capacity to compete, they will keep keeping on. If Dike buys a Chinese phone, Dare buys a Chinese phone, Aliyu buys a Chinese phone, they can communicate with the apps in the Chinese phone and Tom who is their friend will be tempted to use the same medium to communicate. Meanwhile, the Igbo man whose suppliers are in China will automatically switch to the Chinese phone to facilitate trade. That's how it expands. think of how Tecno became a force to reckon with in Nigeria Since variety is the spice of life, Chinese tech companies would offer users alternative means of communication (in that regard) to beef up the competition. Till tomorrow, Asians and Africans would still buy cheaper Chinese phones more than the expensive US/UK/Euro made phones, hence, more market for China. |
