In today's world that you are travelling does not make you less acting president! Same as a travelling CEO of a bank, he does not cease to be CEO because he went to Hawaii. The office goes with him. It is a different ball game if he is on vacation or if he travels for medicals. In the acting president's case there was no vacuum. Let us not forget that Osinbajo is a SAN and a professor of law!

Senators want to become governors and governors aim to go to Senate after their tenure of 4 years x 2.

These two categories COMPETE in terms of who will STEAL the most, so they can pay their way to their coveted future. They even have enough in their loot to try to even buy the judiciary.

So, now they both have a common enemy, Magu!

The vampires in the Senate are thirsty for his blood, and now the governors have joined.

They are holding the nation captive in the meantime.

Please ask our Senate, do they still remember to make and amend laws? In a country where the laws are so moribund you have a law-making body, spending hundreds of billions annually, and trying hard to become pseudo-executive or second executive, abandoning their primary duty in the process.

Some of these guys are worse than Mr Evans! They hold the nation captive, demanding their ransom. Now they want blood, on top of the stolen wealth of the nation.

Nigerians are crying out but they turn deaf ears to the cries.

They should remember - Everyday for the thief.........

Certainly there are some governors or senators that don't belong to this vampire cult, but it looks those are in the very minor minority.

Have some sympathy on this man at least. He is not feeling well. PMB, get well quick, even if you are not going to be president again.

I am not from the SE but must agree with Agbakoba on these points:

1. The political elites calling for restructuring are liars. They want to use the platform for election. Even PMB was oncee quoted as saying that Nigeria was 'structured to fail' but the moment he got there he changed tune.

2. The Ibos have been left behind a long time. however I feel the Ibos should realize they are not the only ones at the receiving end of a brutal and wicked political elite force.

3. IBB, Atiku & Co (even though Agbakoba did not mention names) should not tell us what we need. We say to them, Doctor, heal thyself!

4. Secession may not be the answer (I dont believe it is) but at least people should be allowed to speak!

Whether you are in the SE or SW, or NW or NE there is a common enemy. The political elite. They caused the problem in the first place and they have fed fat in the midst of the confusion. What should bother us is not how to break apart but how to deal with this disease and malaise called the political elite. Forget all the rantings of FFK, Fayodse and others. They are all part of the rot. Thats my own thought. I pray that God will send us answers.

And Oyingbo State! or Lekki State! With Lekki as a state (and it has the population, you know!) Davido will have a good chancee of becoming governor and maybe Linda as the assistant.

The generation of elders that always run after 'my own', 'their own' instead of looking for alternatives that are viable. Nigeria is probably better with between 7 and 10 states (max). Maybe we should just stick to 6.

Why do we just think so much about sharing? So those people were paid so much just to go and plan how to share states! Worrisome.

Is Nigeria ripe for democracy?

Every Tom, Dick and Harris is looking for front page these days.

Nigeria does not need this heating up of the polity. How will a president attend to the letter requesting for referendum? Can he re-write the laws? What should he do with the letter?

Re-structuring may help Nigeria move forward and should be given a chance. I dont know about secession.

I really have nothing to say about this drive by IPOB. I suspect that a good number of Igbos will rather stay in Nigeria, but there are opportunists who will use the sentiment of separation to woo those who are not discerning!

Grenfell Tower caught fire about 2 weeks again and led to a tragic disaster. Turn on the news today in Britain and that is still the news. They want to get to the root of it, deal with it and prevent re-occurence.

Here, some people are saying they are tired of new exposes about Evans. This is the trouble with Nigerian journalism and perhaps trouble with some Nigerians - Too Shallow!

The case of Evans must not be buried as someone did in 2006. It must be investigated and exposed an must serve as deterrence to others, that crime does not pay.

It is apparent that Evans had a large network of men, women, herbalists, robbers, kidnappers, police (and they have even mentioned ex soldiers). If that is true, the public is yet to hear all the details and there will still be more exposes.

If someone does not have anything to hide, why would that person be wary of hearing more crime exposes?

Please let the public know what is going on. That is News. Dont bury anything and dont let the matter just die down like that.

So many stories about Evans that are conjured by attention seekers and internet trolls.

I suspect some of these 'Evans said' are false conjectures.

Scrap the Senate. Scrap it, scrap it. More than anything, it is an obstacle to progress.

Some people stay there for life, chopping money and destabilizing things. Mention one remarkable good achievement of that chamber. In spite of their budget (which remains a mystery), we cant point to their contributions.

How can a law making body turn itself to a pseudo-executive arm? Joblessness of the first order.

GOING FROM WESTERN AVENUE TO APAPA THE ROAD HAS SIMPLY TURNED INTO A TRAILER PARK. WHAT NUISANCE.

I RECOLLECT THAT MR FASHOLA AS GOVERNOR WOULD GO THERE AND WARN THE DRIVERS AND ENFORCE ONE LANE FOR TRAILERS. AT LEAST SO THAT CARS COULD TAKE THE OTHER LANE. ALL THAT HAS COLLAPSED.

THERE ARE PEOPLE LIVING AND WORKING IN APAPA WHO HAVE SLEPT ON THAT ROAD JUST BECAUSE THE TRAILERS HAVE AGAIN TAKEN OVER THE WHOLE PLACE. IS THERE NO ANSWER TO THIS MALAISE, AT LEAST IN THE SHORT TERM? CAN THE GOVERNMENT NOT ENFORCE SOME ORDER? CAN THESE TRAILERS STOP BEHAVING LIKE INVADING HERDSMEN?

LOCAL GOVERNMENT, STATE GOVERNMENT, FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, OIL DEPOTS, DRIVERS ASSOCIATIONS, WHOEVER, PLEASE LISTEN TO THE CRY OF THE CITIZENS AND RETURN ORDER TO THE ROADS. RE-CONSTRUCTION HAS NOT STARTED AND YET WE HAVE THIS LEVEL OF CHAOS, WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN SOME PARTS OF THE ROADS ARE CLOSED FOR RE-CONSTRUCTION?
