Nigeria is at war against itself now! Sad, terribly sad. |
Any employer in Nigeria who does not weed off unproductive staff may one day find that his business has been sacked. Nigerians need to wake to reality. You cannot give what you dont want have. There are tons of people who like to have big money but do not like work! That happens everywhere. Dont blame Nigeria. Brender Rogers was shown the way out because of poor showing. Even the so called 'special one' knew that if he lost two more matches he would have been shown the way out. Yes, people should never be bullied and Jumia must be checked if they bullied anyone out. But we have got to wake up in this country. The National Cake has been eaten up by the politicians, call them PDP or APC! They are still bent on continuing with their chopping and they must be giving the new President and VP a tough time. To those 50 who are asked to go, that is not the end of life. From what you have learnt about cmmerce while in Jumia you should be able to do something. If you have not leant anything, then.....you have to go back to where you can learn. With today's economic downturn, everyone should brace up....not only to work but to be productive and profitable. Employers are not fools. They rarely chase away the chickens that produce the eggs. |
....a young lawyer in his state..... How old is the governor himself? I think he became a governor in his 40's! Some youths have grossly failed their generation. They re-wrote what corruption means! |
IDLE MEN ARE OFTEN FOUND POINTING TO THE SMALL MINUTE MISTAKES OF THE GREAT! |
Okechukwu Enilamah - What a great choice. Thumbs up fpor this administration. Okey is competence, excellence and integrity per excellence. |
We wanted to............People who often fail, are also often giving excuses! |
Why did these guys decline the offer to learn how to be opposition? |
The person that called them SINATORS did not go off point. |
They are watching too many American and Indian films....Americans destroyed values and morals through their film industry and Nigeria has caught on that strange fire... |
MADE IN TAIWAN, ABA BRANCH! |
Football caoches are known to 'talk tough' sometimes. Christian Chukwis right. Oliseh needed to have calmed down but same time Vincent also needed to have calmed down. You dont talk back at your boss, not in fotball. Vincent knows that certainly. Bury the hatchets. Dont use resignation or retirement as a threat. You dont do that anywhere. |
teeowl:You are right about that absolutely. No one knows what really transpired. Vincent is the only one speaking now and that may tend to put Oliseh in bad light. But you know, whatever hapenned to Vincent, he would still need to carry the coach along. That a man is sick does not mean he should not tell his boss in the office that he wont be able to come to work! I sympathise with Vincent...I do, but he is the only one speaking now. This kind of matters are not resolved in the social media! |
SenseiX:Nothing has changed. The 60% levy is the protection for local millers. Nigeria does not yet produce even 10% of the Rice it consumes, so the levy is what is required so that local rice will still sell well. At any rate, the CBN ban of forex for Rice is still intact, so nothing has changed. To import rice, you must first import dollars. |
I have seen this LVE before inside a Virgin Nigeria flight from Abuja, back then. It may not be a big do afterall. We need the experts to speak on it. |
Mourinho, Ferguson, Wenger could do worse than Oliseh did and may footballers will accept. It is just the nature of the game. The hype, the discipline are part of it. I am not absolving OLISEH. He should not have treated the Captain that way. I just feel the matter should have been quenched afterwards and the two should have buried the hatchet. This note from Onyeama may just have worsened the crisis, and he should know it is not good for the team! |
NOTHING BAD IN SETTING A BIG AUDACIOUS GOAL. THAT IS WHAT MAKES NATIONS AND BUSINESSES TO PROGRESS!!! |
Sanchez01:People like him should be placed in a special list known as REOP - Renowned Enemy of Progress. |
Where has he been? |
The campaigners are always screaming that FG should apoint more WOMEN and more YOUTHS. One woman that fits both was appointed and see what she achieved - She broke the record in CORRUPTION. Chai! |
Yes, I remeber the Governor promised to make Lagos centre for show! He's doing a great job at it! |
9/What do you have for your boy? |
Nigerian SINATORS will stop going abroad now! |
Bayelsa owing? |
MARKET LED ECONOMICS WORKS WHERE THE STATE IS FUNCTIONAL AND NOT IN DYSFUNCTIONAL PUBLIC SECTOR LIKE OURS. A PUBLIC SECTOR WHERE ROAD WORTHINESS IS ISSUED WITHOUT A SINGLE CHECK ON THE CAR, WHERE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ONLY EXISTS FOR COLLECTION OF LEVIES AND WHERE IT SEEMS THAT CORRUPTION IS SYNONYMOUS WITH CIVIL SERVICE. GET THE STATE TO WORK AND THEN LAUNCH YOUR MARKET LED ECONOMICS¬ THE SO CALLED MARKET LED ECONOMICS OF THE RECENT PAST LED TO A VERY FEW BUYING PRIVATE JETS IN A PLACE WHERE THE POOR HAVE TO QUEUE FOR KEROSENE, LED TO UNPRECEDENT LEVEL OF CORRUPTION, ELECTICITY TARRIFFS SHOT THROUGH THE ROOF, WHEREAS THERE WAS HARDLY LIGHT, AND PETROL BECAME SCARCE EVEN AT A HIGHER PRICE. TRILLIONS WERE PAID OUT AS SUBSIDIES, TO PUNISH THE PROTESTING POOR. SOME SAID THAT THE SUBSIDY ON OIL SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED. IF THAT HAPENNED WE PROBABLY WILL BE PAYING N300 PER LITRE NOW, BECAUSE 'THE BOYS' WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN PAID ANYHOW. |
Who will be the noise maker in charge of Information? |
In this country, the rich would have jailed the court many times over before the court jails the rich!!! |
Simple. It is just sheer impunity to know that you have big skeletons in your cupboard and yet you aspire for prime leadership position. In saner climes, this is never accepted. Most politicians are guilty of one thing or the other, but the time has come that people should move away from prime leadership position, until they clean up their wardrobes. Our politicians should stop taking Nigerians for a ride. The man must be afraid to resign because that will mark the very end of his political career! But not wanting to resign means that the country will continue to suffer this kind of impunity where a politician can just assume that he can get away with just anything! With the kind of public glare on this case, sparing Saraki will amount to spoiling Nigeria, or further spoiling an already spoilt clime. The right thing for the man to do is to put up a very good case so that the tribunal can acquit him. I really pity him for being made a scapegoat. He certainly needs prayers. He will be a more respected Senate P, if he steps down and then goes to win his case. In that case, his popularity will soar against whoever is behind his travails. |
How can it go up when oil prices have dropped sharply? And when we still import oranges and apples? When we had our rainy days, the 'other man' decided to share it around the country. And allowed his followers to LOOT like there will be no tomorrow! Its time to face the future. Let us see what APC plans for the country's economy. At least we should be happy that the squandering and looting has gone down. If it had continued the way it was, the reserves would have hit 5billion now! Nigerians should stop being stupidly partisan. PDP and APC alike brought us to this point. We must demand for accountability. That the thief is from my town or your town should not mean that I should look away when he/she is looting. If we continue like this, politicians will continue to take advantage of our gullibility and will continue to loot without control and to take care of their children and concubines in USA, Dubai and London. |
When you attend a university, pray that they dont take your brain away! |
Your choice. A little sleep and a little slumber..... |
Wicked world. Truth is that if it is true that Governor paid then he may be liable for complicity. Aiding and abetting a crime makes you part of it somehow. |
We pray for the Chief's prompt release. Same time, we hope people like FFK can take a sabbatical from empty noise-making. The last election should have told him that SW people dont know any Afenifere and are not party to empty noises. Rather than appeal to FG to support the search (which I believe they will do) he is opening his mouth to threaten them. His former boss's politics of grandiose money sharing is part of what is fueling kidnapping! |
