There is nothing like 'Yoruba leaders' or 'Hausa leaders' or 'Igbo leaders' anymore in this country. All those expired with the generation of Awos and Ziks. President Jonathan should stop wasting his time and maybe money on nothing and nonsense. He is probably just enriching the cash distributors (Naira and dollars as we hear) over an irrelevant concept. Did OBJ ever consult any 'regional leader' to get a second term?

Fashola did not need 'Yoruba elders' to win a second term. He only needed sound performance. If there are any leaders that people would listen to, those leaders would be Fashola, Aregbesola who have records of creative and stellar performance. Definitely not some of those names there who are only known for chop-I-chop politics.

Watching this , I still wonder why some Nigerians still can't figure out themselves that people telling them that Buhari is an illiterate are only messing with their mind. This guy called Buhari's English is even more sound than most people calling him an illiterate. I'm impressed.

Some Nigerian has that perception that if you are from the North, you are dumb and illiterate because some ELDER Statesman told you so, why can't you do your own research before passing judgement ??

Same goes to other tribes who associate some behaviors and evil deed to some some certain tribes, this got to stop if we want our country to grow .

I'm watching this with my friend who is a British and he said he can clearly understand his accent and everything he has said so far BUT some gullible Nigerians has taken it upon themselves to discredit this man no matter how much he tried .

How can we grow as a person if we cannot see through things with an unbiased mind.
Thank you.
If you take the 'PhD candidate' to debate against GMB right there in Chatam house, you will see than indeed GMB is by far more intelligent.

PDP'S CAMPAIGN IS LACED WITH SO MUCH FEAR. IF YOU HAVE DONE WELL WHY ARE YOU AFRAID? EVEN THE PEOPLE IN PDP KNOW THEY HAVE TAKEN NIGERIA BACKWARDS AND THEY KNOW THEY HAVE NO PLANS OTHER THAN TO CONTINUE DRINKING, STEALING AND RUBBISHING THE VALUE OF THE NAIRA!

NEVER IN NIGERIA'S HISTORY HAVE WE SEEN SUCH CORRUPTION AND CLUELESS LEADERSHIP.

BUHARI MAY NOT BE A SAINT, BUT THE PEOPLE IN LONDON HAVE ALREADY SPOKEN (THROUGH THE ECONOMIST) THAT HE IS BETTER THAN A 'FAILED PRESIDENT'! THE SO CALLED PROTEST MEANS NOTHING TO GENUINE LONDONERS.

It never makes sense to compare the past and the present. The conditions are not the same!

When OBJ was president Nigeria had a debt burden that was as big as its GDP. Tha was fully cleared. On top of it a savings of USD23billion was kept aside. Any incoming government should have built on that to further improve on development.

Instead, what have you today? The debt has been built up again and the savings have been squandered. We should be seeing a lot of things that money has done. But we cant!
Any honest Nigerian will agree that today's government has failed in this respect.

Well known fact.

This present government has virtually run Nigeria into bankruptcy.

Voting for GEJ is voting for misery and pain. Shine your eyes.

Forget about all the lies.
Politics › Re: Non-Indigenes Of Lagos March To INEC Office To Demand PVCs (Pictured) by Dee60: 10:02am On Feb 20, 2015
I am an indigene of LAGOS STATE. I also do not have PVC yet. I have gone there many times. I spoke to INEC official yesterday. She asked me to check again, same as she has been saying since December.

INEC should do something quick about Lagos situation.

Indigenes and non indigenes alike are affected, so no one should tribalise this.

Politics › Re: PDP Sharing Rice And Yam At Campaign Venue (Photo) by Dee60:
Shame.

What a story of deprivation, denigration and destruction of people's esteem and wellbeing.

The rogue gets into government house or office, starts to pile up millions of dollars for himself and his hordes of concubines, girlfriends and hawkers. He buys houses he will never live in in Dubai, Austria and all kinds of places. He secures the best schools for his children in USA (even though those kids are likely going to end in drugs!). He gets a convoy of cars and security men who harrass the poor on the road all the time. He is never reachable once he assumes office and never keeps a single promise he made to the voter.

Why should our people continue in this gullibility? Someone has stolen your money and your inheritance and buys you food and calls it stomach infrastructure! He leaves your children to die in hospitals. He is happy that you cannot even afford basic education for your children. Rice and yam, for what? How I wish you knew how much of your commonwealth he has carted away.

You probably do not know that he has just added grave insult to your gross injury.

He gives you rice and yam and commands you to carry it on your head! O, what a shame.

He has denigrated you beyond belief. Worse, you go from there praising him.

A fellow human like you who possibly did not have shoes until a few years ago, now buys you rice, from the money he was meant to keep for you. Yet, you are smiling.

What a denigration! What an insult!

Is this what we have reduced democracy to? Is this not a demonstration of craze?

O dear Lord, deliver our people from ignorance.

Doyin Okupe the blabber and rambler. These guys think they can play God always, I pity him and his co-travelers because things are taking a different turn this time around and their usual tricks will fail them. Nigerians are wiser now and that is why there is so much panic in govt. Nonsense....
That is probably what he was hired for. To bring down Jonathan! Nigerian politicians are a awful lot!

The simple interpretation is this. Jonathan's chances would have been better if elections were to hold Feb 14! Now, he has bungled it completely. I was not decided before, but now. my decision is clear. GEJ's handlers lack intelligence.
