Now I see where the mixup is coming from. Using the dictionary meaning and applying it across board generously.

Doing so will see the works of other philosophers and ideologists translate into religions whereas they are not one:

-What is the religion of Guru Maharaji?
-Is Neoplatonism a religion?
- Is 'Pilotry' a religion?
- What of Football?
Please we all know what we mean by religion in this particular context.

"Religion is a structured system of beliefs, practices, and worldviews that connects humanity to the supernatural or transcendental." It typically has specific ritualistic practices of a sacred nature.

The historic depth and breadth of your posts whilst commendable, tend to not address specific points. I'll try and respond thematically. Some housekeeping first.

I only deploy acronyms which have been used previously, or, to mirror phrases\expressions in the post I am responding to. I am happy to be corrected on definitions if the originator feels I am incorrectly applying them.
Many thanks for your considered response.

I feel your use of words like savage and barbaric are incendiary, against the spirit of the treaty, and can silently ascribe things to me which I have not stated or implied.
My apologies, it was not meant that way in this instance.

First up - Evolution. I do not subscribe to he TOE. I believe men (and all living) were created. And fully formed at that, regardless of the stage in the life-cycle.
Well, interesting. Nevertheless, surely you agree that the logic stands. The logic of isolated groups developing uniquely or differently.

As an aside, ToE is not necessarily mutually exclusive with Creationism. The Catholic Church for example, seems happy to believe it.

Secondly - Climate. On the map you used to illustrate, most of Australia and SA are shown as temperate zones. What happened there? I am happy to agree that climate, topography, and the like all play a role. But understanding human beings as created with advanced consciousness and capabilities, these "limiting factors" are too spur advance and development, not be used as an excuse for backwardness.
I am glad to see an acceptance that climate plays a role, that is only rational. This does not mean one adopts it as an excuse for backwardness of any sort and this is a suitable juncture for me to clear something up.

People of your school of thought - both here and offline, always seem to think that when one offers these explanations as to the way the different races have turned out developmentally, one is making excuses. Bemeruca, Tctrills, raumdeuter, each seem to think this way as well. Nothing could be further from the truth. You guys also conclude that it is an avoidance of responsibility. It is not.

What is scientifically and anthropologically true cannot be waved aside - that does not imply that anyone is making excuses or avoiding any responsibility. Responsibility, at all events, CANNOT be avoided - no one is coming to fix life for anyone else - each must "work out his salvation with fear and trembling" if I may borrow that phrase from scripture. And indeed as tumultuous as our situation is in Africa, the truth is that we are on the way.

We just tend not to see it so well because of the ups and downs and the madness and the scattered nature of our progress. The hideous corruption, the waste, the illiteracy and all that. But think about it. What do you realistically expect? Newly independent nations with borrowed systems (ways of doing things) shoddily clamped into incompatible unions (such as Nigeria) naturally prone to suspicion and strife and conflict - and you expect a smooth ride to efficient systems? Never gonna happen sorry. It was ALWAYS gonna be a rough ride.

It was a rough ride everywhere else and you have to understand that there is nothing we are going through that developed nations have not also experienced.

And let me say something. Don't underestimate what conflict and suspicion do to retard development. The natural patriotism being absent, everyone in government is therefore prone to be there to better his lot without a care for the country. Because many do not in fact identify with the country! Barring our love of football, Nigerians are rarely to be seen with a united patriotic fervor for Nigeria the way many homogenous nations or nations which have blended well tend to have.

Thirdly - Travel. You mentioned how travel and intermingling aided development. Yes, but the impetus "to develop" has to be natal. Men have gone from riding horses to launching rockets. We could have done perfectly well - and did - without trains, automobiles or aeroplanes. Why did one milieu deliver all of this and the other not - excuse the pun - so much as get off the ground?

When did native BA cross seas or deserts? or even travel by land far away from their homesteads. The spirit of adventure and pioneering went missing with it's cousins, curiosity and innovation.
Yes, white men are more adventurous but again there is a reason! You really underestimate the extent to which environment conditions culture and the mind! You really really do! Before the age of exploration, Europe had become agriculturally saturated in many ways, if it is right for me to use that expression, but I trust you get what I mean. There became a need to move outwards. I hope you know Europe as it appears on world maps relative to other continents is larger on the maps than it is in reality. It is a small tight space. And then coupled with the wars and conflicts and strife and competition, the need to push outwards was inevitable. This is also a result of very limited resources in Europe as it began to develop more actively.

Having said that there are a number of historical seaward journeys undertaken by Africans, but not many enough for me to make heavy weather of. The same way the Chinese actually set out with one one the mightiest exploratory fleets at one time somewhere at the tail end of the middle ages but it returned without much success. The African expedition I refer to was commissioned by a Songhai or Malian King if I remember correctly.

But aside from this, what hidden secrets are resting in deep history? Because have you ever looked at the Olmec statues in Meso-America? Notice their unmistakably African features - wide noses and think lips - which make it clear that somewhere in the unrecorded past, Africans must have reached the Americas! I attach images of these statues below.

https://blackpast.org/global-african-history/olmec-heads-of-mexico-1200-400-b-c/

Finally I trust you are aware that all the peoples of the world at all events migrated out of Africa?

Fourthly - through time and history, eras and epochs, empires and civilisations, humans have advanced and created complex societies governed by the main underpinnings of economics, politics, ethics and technology. It's all known now. We have conquered climate and distance.

I am not presenting Fukuyama here and feel there can be variations on how we order things and there will still be incremental and even transformational change, bit the essentials of modern day societies are with us. All available and should be readily replicated by those with even minimal levels of FD and the will
.

Time, events, chaos, ripple effects.

Does not having first-hand knowledge of what others have achieved, are doing or aspire too, provide sufficient impetus for local development? You have made all the excuses, but there are glaring reasons. Nothing has to be invented or imagined. It's simply a cut and past of what is already extant. And with stupendous oil wealth, it could simply be bought in.
I am sorry I have already told you that development cannot be "cut and paste."

Look at democracy for example. It is a painstaking process that has to be a lived experience and become a natural disposition and culture. That will take decades to imbibe and perfect, that is after the chaos of wars and coups of course! And after societies have imbibed them, long periods of peace and patriotism will be required. Long, long, long periods of educational improvement and output.

One does not catch up overnight with countries that have had universities for a millennium okay?

Corruption, lawlessness and degeneracy are why the empires and civilisations of the past fell. That appears to me to be the starting point for many BA nations. Were to from there? Talk about long past civilisations or natural conditions do not tell us the solutions or how. Greed, self-aggrandisement and lawlessness wrapped in parochiality are writ large in the consciousness of BA. These at least are the first instance reasons why they cannot only not invent or innovate, but they can't even re-imagine, recreate, or outright copy.

TV
These are all common to all societies throughout history and will even out over time - not to perfection, but arch towards improvement.

The actions of Jesus while alive and the consequent huge following and repute was enough for him to formalize a religion if he wanted one. Why wait till demise?

Secondly, the huge following while he was alive was enough for it to be mistaken or deliberately made for and a religion respectively. This never occurred.

After his demise, people had a name for the followers and preachers of Christ. No one made a religion of it, not even Paul fundamentally looking at it. More so is that post-Jesus, his followers did not ascribe a religion to what they practiced. They called themselves "brothers".

This proves that after practicing everything Jesus gave, a religion did not naturally or artificially occur.

It occurred by the singular action of Constantine.
Nah, he obviously established a religion. Establishing ritual practices is enough. Go and look for the definition of religion in any dictionary. He did so.

But have it your way, I know you will never agree.

Taking Jesus injunction and the practices he established for a religion is a deductive error.

Even for olden times, religions have concrete head and tails for identity. They have religions which are unmistakable.

Other than Jesus, there are hundreds of others who came with one ideology or the other and where never construed as religions.

Granted people will naturally ascribe a name to a movement, this had never been mistaken for religions nonetheless.

If we are to take rituals and training of disciples and offspring for a religion, would you say the Igbos Nwa Boy system is a religion? What about traditional healers?

That said, Christianity became a religion owing to the actions of Emperor Constantine. No more,no less. You could actually get your answer after defining the term itself.
Giving directions on rituals and beliefs is more than enough to establish a religion. Jesus established Christianity by giving detailed ditrections on what to believe, how to behave and what to practice in terms of rituals. That is more than enough.

Constantine can be said to be the one responsible for formalizing it as a state religion and thus transforming it into something that would become powerful and global.

Most of your knowledge is hinged on half knowledge and outright ignorance. The rest comes from being pathologic at lying while making attempts to present blue as orange before people who practically are saner and could cure the apparent delusion you are under.

1: Bhudism historically is the, or one of the most peaceful religions. Christianity is far from being the most peaceful. The harsh treatments JWs get like excommunications, gaslighting etc would not isolate it as a peaceful sect/religion for your information..

2: Jesus never gave an instruction for a religion to be created after him neither did any biblical scripture for that matter.

3: There exist for the records the identity of the person responsible for institutionalising a movement called "Christianity" beyond the first person known as Paul. His name is emperor Constantine. His motive was not biblically inspired (the Christian Bible didn't exist in his time).

Other than these, no record of the Israeli God and his son asking anyone from a religion.

Records= Zero.
Jesus established a religion to the extent that he gave the Great Commission and established the ritual of communion.

Here he establishes Evangelism for the belief system -

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20, NIV)

Here he establishes the ritual of communion -

Matthew 26:26-28: Jesus broke bread, gave it to his disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body." He then took a cup, gave thanks, and shared it, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins".

Luke 22:19-20: After breaking the bread and sharing the cup, Jesus added the direct command, "Do this in remembrance of me".

How else can a person establish a religion other than by giving these clear directives of practicing it? Must he say "I hereby establish a religion?"

MaxInDHouse:
Writers of Bible books claimed they were inspired by God {2Timothy 3:16}
But the Book of Timothy was not written as scripture. It was a letter from one person to another. What makes it scripture?
What makes it scripture is its proclamation as such by the Roman Curia.

Yes, what's good for the goose is good for the gander but Dems don't see it that way. That's why in the North East despite 40% voting republican, we don't have a single republican district.

The only reason the Dems are scared is that that have over gerrymandered that they have very little room for more. The republicans actually have more bullets than them this time.

Also with the 2030 census coming up, the republicans could easily have 12 more seats.

But then, we should we have segregated districts in a country?

basilico:
A lot of people don't see it this way.

When democrats carve out a black district ,they are in effect segregating.
They get their black safe districts.

The suburbs get their Republican safe districts too.

So in effect they are creating separate black and mostly white enclaves .

A racist republican doesn't depend on appealing across the board to all voters.
A black house rep knows he only needs to win the primary to retain his seat.Ditto the Republican.

An example.
Spreading Democratic voters thinly across multiple districts to maximize Republican seats, a Democratic surge in a midterm year could actually make up to three separate South Carolina districts highly competitive for Democrats
Everyone knows the game being played. Everyone knows what is being done is targeted at denying blacks and Dems seats in the next election and everyone knows the true purpose beyond the words being bandied about. Even both of you also know it.

Look at Memphis a predominantly black city which would normally get a seat based on the majority of its people's desire. You now go and split it up into several districts so that it cannot vote as a majority black area and thereby strategically deny the black population its choice. This is known as "cracking"—a gerrymandering technique where a cohesive voting bloc is split across multiple districts to dilute its political power.

No one is stupid, including your side, everyone knows exactly what is being done and both of you know it too, so no amount of pretending that it's segregation will impress anyone.

As for me, I simply say what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If your side is doing it and you are happy, just don't complain when it's also done to you, period.
