davien:Any serious approach to this question must incline towards the existence of self-existent things. |
Rosement:Workch is wrong. There is no scientific evidence that something may emerge from nothing. See my response to him above. Secondly, the concept of "nothing" is inherently problematic. That which the so called scientists (such as the famed iidiot, Lawrence Krauss) refer to as "nothing" is in fact "something." |
Workch:This is also false. There is no such evidence in quantum physics (not to speak of "tonnes of evidence" ) because the prime example which is used to defend this assumption is that of virtual particles in a quantum vacuum. It is false, and fails because there is no perfect vacuum observed anywhere and the said vacuums contain law gaseous pressure, thus it is wrong to say that the so called virtual particles emerge from "nothing." |
Workch:This is false. Many ancients knew the Earth was a sphere Pythagoras, Plato, Aristotle, Achimedes, all taught that the Earth was a sphere. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spherical_Earth#History. https://www.olivehackney.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Year-5-Science-Spherical-Bodies-Shape-of-the-Earth-Evidence-Cards.pdf It was so well known that even the Bible alludes to it. That's what logic does, it makes sense objectively but can be misleading if there's no evidence to work with. All logic must have a reference point. There is no logic in a vacuum. |
Grandmeister:Such a pity that statement was so badly misunderstood. Nonetheless it was always a terribly mis-advised thing to say, even if it was technically correct. |
The absence of corruption (something which is impossible) alone will not achieve cities like that. Achieving cities like that requires innovation, creativity and a focus on economic growth and global trade backed by intelligent and richly sophisticated entrepreneurship and political will. |
LordReed:How far. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Not all marriages go the distance in this way. Will they be there when all chips are down and no one to fall back to?Not all spouses stick around when the chips are down. And even amongst those that do, certainly not all offer a shoulder to lean on during those dark hours. See, getting married is a blessed thing. Not always. Its a nightmare for many. Stop generalizing. |
UyaiIncomparabl:That's too broad a statement. Marriage is not meant for everyone. Some people fare much better outside such a commitment. |
plaetton:Pls see email bros. |
IPIGSRHYPO:While what you say is quite true, you should be careful to make a distinction between most of Southern Nigeria and most of Northern Nigeria - as the latter has become a literal war zone with Boko Haram, Killer Herdsmen and the so-called "bandits" terrorizing the landscape on a scale that can only be compared to a fully raging war. People are slaughtered at a rate that has since rendered the population numb to the numbers. Worryingly, in the south, kidnappings have recently spiked and the south-east in particular appears to have what may be politically motivated violence perpetuated by so called "unknown gunmen" these days. |
SmartPolician:This happens in every country. |

Jakumo:A sense of wonder. Now that's a critical sense for a complete human. Without a sense of wonder, a person is somewhat dead in an inward sense. There is an aspect of the spirit and mind which dies without a sense of wonder. I once had a friend who insisted that there were no mysteries in the world whatsoever because the teachings of his religion had explained everything in existence. I felt sorry for him as I grieved for the death of his sense of wonder. abstract though they may be in the grand scheme of things.. . . . . abstract though they may be to our mundane lives. |
Kajaard:No, those are hypnosis eyes. DrFunmisticGlow, dont mind them. Powerful eyes. |
Jakumo:I think this has become obvious (from a thousand sources but especially with the Nimitz incident and confirmations from US Naval Officers) and even some of the statements of the last two presidents of the United States. I think disclosure may not be very far away. We might live to see/ hear it. Maybe, just maybe. I have no doubt that such activity has been ongoing for thousands of years. And possibly, they dwell among us, indistinguishable from us. |
plaetton:That's by no means limited to Nigeria brother, psychopaths have a rich history of garnering massive followings. - Hitler - Genghis Khan - Napoleon - Jim Jones of Jonestown/ the People's Temple - Prophet Muhammad And many others. . . |
emae009:Can you show us the UN Protocol which establishes this procedure? You probably should be referring, at all events, to the International Atomic Energy Agency. what you call club is actually UN Security Council made up of 5 countries. The UN Security Council is not made up of five members, it has many more members - however there are five permanent members who have a veto (one veto vote equal to 99 - or more - which kain sense be that, na animal sense). While it is perfectly understood that those five permanent members won their permanence by virtue of winning the second world war and and thus establishing the international order of today, the second world war ended over 75 years ago and it is increasingly untenable to justify an undemocratic arrangement whereby each member within a small group of five countries has the right to veto the rest of the world at a time when democracy is touted as gospel in the world. Now international trade is usually carried out in US dollars so any economic sanctions by the UN will be carried out by the US, of which other countries can join. This just finally showed up what I have already suspected. That you know nothing about international affairs. School up, or stick to your field. |
emae009:You should understand both what you say and what you imply. What you infer. You said that one doesn't have to be a part of the treaty to be held to account regarding development of nukes by the UN. That infers being bound. What UN by the way? Do you mean the club of nuclear armed countries or the UN? You should be exact with your words and inferences. |
emae009:Talk oh, dont talk oh, that's your cup of tea - no one is begging to hear you. India, Pakistan and North Korea are evidence that you are talking bunkum and even Iran had to be carefully negotiated with. Now if an individual country wants to stop you, (e.g - Israel v Iran) that's a different matter. If a single country or an alliance of countries decide to cripple you with sanctions, that's also their free choice. But to claim that anyone is bound by any treaty they are not a signatory to, is just bunkum. |
Macpro:If they were sincere they would domicile such capabilities and the responsibility for looking out for such threats with an international coalition mandated by the UN. |
Tpharell:Doesnt have to be bigger than Earth, just big enough, which isnt really that big in comparison to planetary bodies. |
emae009:Please lets be serious. Israel's nukes are the worst kept secret in the world. Pakistan, India and North Korea developed their when the treaty was newly formed and there was no mutual understanding between the Security Council as we have it nowNonsense, when did North Korea complete theirs? Any sufficiently determined country with the resources can acquire nukes - most will not bother because they are of little to no use to them. No one is bound by a treaty they are not party to, period. |
emae009:So how far with Israel, Pakistan, India, North Korea? |
wirinet:OMG! |
wirinet:And accursed are such married women. I had a cousins (RIP) that the wife didn't allow his husband's mother into their home. That my aunty was the sweetest woman in the world. If she comes to Lagos to see her son, they meet at another cousins house. No offense bro, but that your cousin fall hand big time. Before both God and man. |
LordReed:I removed the links, it still banned me. When the ban expires, don't quote my post in your response, just paraphrase what I may have said, that's the only way. You can quote further posts I make, just not that one. Pele. |
LordReed:You have been banned! ![]() |
Saturn444:This resonates powerfully. |
Speaklove:You know, notwithstanding the generally simplistic nature of your post, this bit with the analogy of the mirror really struck a nerve with me. There is something to it. . . its quite evocative of the idea of beings on different dimensions of reality. Such as a two dimensional creature being unable to perceive a three dimensional creature, even though the three dimensional creature can see the two dimensional creature. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whosoever believe in him should not perish but have everlasting life. This is problematic. Please remember always - that even if you establish the existence of "God" you still have a long way from there to the conclusion that the execution of a Jewish man adjudged guilty of sedition by the Romans somehow absolves you of your sins and will make a paradisaical home for you in an afterlife. |
Dear LordReed, I have really been taken through the most vile and sinister concentration camp by the spambot. Sadly, it appears there is just no way in which I will be permitted to post my response here. Therefore I am resorting to attaching it as a word document to this post (see link below my signature). Kindly take a look through. Perhaps you can quote it in full here just to make it available on the thread (you may not be banned as I was) or you can quote it in parts as you respond and then we can carry on from there. Whatever you do, please take the time to read it through and lets know your thoughts. cc: IMAliyu KnownUnknown (as I touch a little on evolution here which we may have cause to discuss arising from our last interaction) |
justcool:Happy New Year Justcool. I just read once again what you submitted above. Would you then say, that if the different races came into contact at the right time per your theorization above, after each race had become a pure race, it would then be okay in your view for different races to mix sexually and procreate? |
