waldigit: What is the truth. From input of many authority sources, TRUTH can be said to be correct position or reality about something which is a subject of controversies. Jesus amidst of controversies on his personality declared: John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
There are some salient features about TRUTH that is noteworthy: 1.Truth is independent of every other associative factors. 2.Truth cannot be changed because even after the evidences are destroyed the truth still remained that they were destroyed. 3. Truth does not show symphaty to ignorance 4.Truth does not respect believe systems of man. 5.Truth is not sensitive to limitation or error in human perception ability.e.g controversy over the shape of the earth. 6.Truth cannot be hidden forever. Matthew 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. John 18:38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
2 Corinthians 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
There is a popolar old adage that says " seing is believing". But how true is this? Is it always true that what man senses organ percieve is the TRUTH? A little experiment on visual illusion can help us, may be? Take a look at picture below and tell whether you are seing straight line or not? Apparently the lines are bend but TRUELY the lines are straight. You can confirm by placing straight ruler on the edges of the lines to confirm.
Little wonder the Bible advised: 2 Corinthians 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight
There is something astonishly outstanding about Jesus: Of all men who have have made self declarative statement about their divinity, He is the only one who still remains relevant, more than 2000 years after. Remember that if Jesus is the truth as he claimed and He is, Your believe system, your perception, your ignorance and many more will not matter and will also not be an excuse. A very simple way of knowing the truth is by testing it. Taste of the pudding is in the eating of it. Give Him a try and if He fails you, my guess is that you know what to do
You may have the choices of not believing or care less, but I am certain that you shall not have the choice of escaping the consequence of your choice. Friend I can assure you that the only offence many shall be guilty of is that they chose not to be bothered by the need to know the TRUTH. It is your responsibility to know the TRUTH and accept it so that it can set you free.
Accept the TRUTH(JESUS) today. You are ignorant and mad. |

Exactly what use does it serve? This is an incongruous way to frame the question. No "entity" "indwells" a "person". Christianity Etc › Re: Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus : Five Reasons To Thank Him - Paul Ellis by DeepSight(m): 2:32pm On Aug 06, 2017 |
jiggaz: The gospel of grace is underwritten by the most precious commodity in the universe – the blood of Jesus.
Some have lost sight of an important truth, possibly the most important truth, which is this: no blood means no salvation. And no redemption, no forgiveness, no sanctification, and no future.
Without the blood, the gospel is no gospel and the cross is nothing more than two beams of wood. As the song-writer wrote, our cleansing, our wholeness, our pardon, our hope, our peace, our righteousness, our overcoming, are all based on nothing but the blood of Jesus.
On the night before he died, Jesus said:
“This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.” (Lk 22:20)
It was left to the writers of the New Testament to unpackage the full significance of that statement. I want to highlight five things they said about the blood. This is not a complete list, but it will be more than enough to get you thanking Jesus. Don’t race through this list on your way to another website. This list of blessings cost Jesus his life and purchased yours. Read it slowly and be blessed.
(1) Jesus’ blood did away with sin
“He has appeared once for all… to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself” (Heb 9:26b).
Sin is no longer merely covered up by the sacrifice of animals. It has been “removed” (GNB), “abolished” (AMP) and “done away with” (NIV). Sin, your old Master, has been ended, rubbed out, whacked.
You may think that sin is behind some of the problems in your life. How can that be if Jesus has done away with sin? His blood is what the Message Bible calls, “the final solution of sin”. Go take communion and talk to your problems about the precious blood of Jesus that makes you whole.
(2) Jesus’ blood paid for your eternal redemption
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.” (1 Pet 1:18-19)
You were born a slave to sin, a prisoner of your appetites, programmed to screw up. Sure, you had some good days when you could keep things in check. But deep down you knew that your desires unleashed would bring ruin and destruction. This is humanity’s heritage – a selfish, sensual life passed on from our ancestor Adam.
But you were redeemed from this pointless way of life by the blood of Jesus. Jesus did not sneak in and kidnap you from the enemy’s camp. He bought you fair and square with something infinitely more precious than silver and gold. Neither did Jesus suffer on the cross just to buy you a weekend pass out of Egypt. His blood secured your complete and eternal redemption (Heb 9:12).
Jesus’ blood has paid your sin-debt in full. Even when you stumble and make mistakes you still belong to Jesus. The devil has absolutely no claim on you. When he reminds you of your shortcomings, remind him of the perfect blood that redeemed you and purchased your perpetual and everlasting freedom.
(3) Jesus’ blood brought you forgiveness and reconciliation with God
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.” (Eph 2:13)
Growing up enslaved to sin you were serving in the enemy’s camp earning the wages of death. For as long as you resisted God’s gracious overtures, even your good deeds were storing up wrath for the Day of Judgment. You were born far from God and nothing you did could ever close that gap.
But Jesus became our atonement, bringing us reconciliation with God (1 Jn 2:2). By shedding his own blood, Jesus secured our pardons from death row (Heb 9:22). Forgiveness is not something we have earned. It is a divine gift, paid for with blood. All your sins – past, present and future – were forgiven at the cross (Col 2:13).
Some say there are limits and conditions to God’s forgiveness. They say that we are only forgiven if we straighten up and fly right. That is like saying the blood of Jesus is inadequate, that God himself needs our help. But the Bible says we are redeemed and forgiven “in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” (Eph 1:7). When you do well, you are forgiven. When you don’t do so well, you are still forgiven! There is no flashing sign above your head that switches between “forgiven” and “unforgiven.” Look up and see the blood of Jesus.
What sets you straight with God? The blood plus nothing. What is your proper response to this gift of forgiveness? Rejoice! “Happy are those whose wrongs are forgiven, whose sins are pardoned!” (Rms 4:7, GNB). You are forgiven! Be happy!
(4) Jesus’ blood cleanses, and goes on cleansing you, from all the effects of sin
“…the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin and guilt” (1 Jn 1:7b, AMP)
Sin has a corrupting, defiling influence. Even long-ago sin leaves festering wounds and putrescent lesions on the soul. Before the cross your lab report testified to the symptoms of sin: guilt, regret, disappointment, hurt, stress, fear, anxiety and sickness.
Thank God for the blood of Jesus which washes away all that black history, making you white as snow (Is 1:18). Jesus doesn’t do patch-up jobs. He deals with the root cause by removing our condemnation. Our hearts have been sprinkled and our guilty consciences cleansed (Heb 10:22). When we make mistakes Jesus, the Righteous One, intercedes for us and the Holy Spirit convicts us that we are still the righteousness of God in Christ (1 Jn 2:1). This is not merely a new start, but a whole new life.
(5) Jesus’ blood sanctifies you
“My friends, the blood of Jesus gives us courage to enter the most holy place.” (Heb 10:19 CEV)
Jesus doesn’t just point us in the right direction and leave us to our own devices, he takes care of the finish as well. His blood both cleanses us, redeeming our past, and sanctifies us, guaranteeing our present and future (Heb 9:13-14). In times of need we can approach the throne of grace fearlessly and boldly to receive grace and mercy (Heb 4:16). What qualifies us to enter God’s presence and enjoy his blessings? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
The moment we are saved our official status before God becomes “perfect forever” (Heb 10:14). A day-old Christian who has done nothing for Jesus can have the same confidence before God as a Billy Graham or a Charles Spurgeon. Where does this confidence come from? The perfect sanctifying blood of Jesus.
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
At the last supper Jesus took the cup and announced a new covenant based on his blood. If the disciples had known then what they learned later, they would’ve rejoiced, for God was on the verge of reconciling the world to favor with himself. It was the gospel in a cup!
Communion in many churches is a time of somber reflection. It ought to be a time of celebration and joy! The blood represented by that cup paid for your freedom, secured your pardon, brought you forgiveness with God and made you holy and acceptable. Neither should we limit communion to church. When you’re sick, take communion and remember with faith his body broken for your healing. When you stumble, take communion and remember with faith his blood shed for your forgiveness. Jesus is not condemning you – he died for you! Go and sin no more.
Some people compare following Jesus to an endurance race. This makes it sound like our success depends on our effort. Okay, but before we nullify the grace of God by trusting in our own works, let me ask you this. What qualifies you to run the race? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. What is it that keeps you in the race? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
And at the finish line when they ask what enabled you to overcome to the very end, even in the face of death, what will be your testimony then?
https://escapetoreality.org/2010/07/01/nothing-but-the-blood/ What on Earth could have convinced you of this foolishness. Is it not written that whatsoever a man sows the same shall he reap? Why would you subscribe to the pagan idea of ritual human sacrifice as something that absolves you of your sins? What sort of barbaric God do you worship who requires this sort of morbid ritual in order to forgive the sins of beings that he created imperfect and placed in an imperfect world at all events? If this sort of story were told to you as African folklore, you would laugh at it. But some inferiority complex deep within you allows you to hold such absurd and morbid dogma as truth. |

Dalamama: Deepsight handled me how? Deepsight has a God he can not even describe same with Uyi. Their Gods are just what they personally imagine and want them to be. Read thier comments and see how they are describing their Gods. Let me see if I can clarify in the simplest words possible. 1. I believe that the universe had a beginning. 2. I believe that anything that begins to exists, or any motion commencing from a point, requires a trigger or cause. 3. I therefore believe that the universe has a cause. 4. I do not believe it is logical for something to be its own cause if that thing is not self existent. The universe, having had a beginning, is not self existent and thus its cause must be external to it: i.e: it transcends the universe. 5. Matter consists in the universe and so I do not believe that that cause itself can also be matter. The foregoing evinces a transcendental immaterial cause at the minimum, and this is what I refer to as God. If the foregoing makes sense to you, we can take the thought development and deductions further. |

If you are unable to take a cold calm critical look at your own head in a mirror and understand that it is self evidently a temporal biochemical mask which enables a being to perceive: and then to grasp the implications is that, I cannot help you.

Christianity Etc › The Dark Side Of Parenthood by DeepSight(op): 10:32pm On Jul 24, 2017*. Modified: 3:54pm On Aug 09, 2024 |
Ordinarily the instinct to reproduce, well known as a trait of all or most living things in our world is or ought to be something to be taken without a second thought in the scheme of nature. However I would crave your indulgence, in light of the advanced capacity of humans beyond other animals - to think beyond instinct and to project into the future in a more conscious way - to ask a few questions about our instincts to reproduce and thus become parents especially in light of the nature of the world that we live in. I thus apologize in advance as I do by no means intend to diminish thje honored institution of valued parenthood, I only intend to draw attention to some of its apparently unsavory accompaniments.
As man an woman, the desire to self replicate begins to burn within the generality of us after a certain maturity of years upon the earth, and for many people, this desire is an all consuming passion - beyond which they can not contemplate any meaningful existence and in the absence of which life becomes bitter and meaningless. For the many others who do indeed have children, their children become absolutely the beginning and the end of all meaning and purpose in their lives and all their earthly exertions are directed towards the well being, success and happiness of those children.
It is my observation that the matter of self replication appears to breed such a degree of desperation in human beings that may well be said to be sometimes unhealthy, sometimes dangerous, sometimes selfish, and sometimes may well extend to the morbidly desperate and outright sociopathically evil. Here are my reasons:
Issue Number One: What is your reason for wanting to have a child?
Many people do not think deeply about this question at all - you might as well ask them what is their reason for eating food or breathing air, for so closely is the urge to replicate woven into our DNA that it oft does not appear a question that should arise, in the minds of many. This is the same way many do not contemplate their reasons for wanting to be married, but I digress.
When having a child, you are engaging in a sacred process which triggers of the entrance of a living human soul into this world. That is by itself a deep and weighty thing to contemplate. From my mediocre stand point one of the first questions that leaps out at me, is - "having consideration to what I know about the nature of this world in which I live, is it a world in which I would wish to bring any other soul into?". For me, at a personal level, the very straight answer is a very firm and adamant no: and this is because I shudder at the incomprehensible horrors of existence on this plane, and it is a miracle to me that any maintain their sanity in such a world as this: I doubt that any do really - but believe that most maintain an outward pretense of same. However that is just me: the question should go out to every intending parent, and should more thoroughly be reprhased as this:
Do you think it is fair to bring any soul into this world as you know it? Assuming that you think that that is okay, what are your particular reasons for wanting to do so: do those reasons concern that unknown soul so much as they are about your own happiness and fulfillment at having the experience of having had a child?
In short: is it all about the child or all about you?
This question is important because many people do not feel like a real man or a real woman if they have been unable to have children. This poses the question if we do not desperately seek children more to soothe our egos than for anything else at all.
Issue Number Two: Is there anything you would not do for your child?
For most people, there is absolutely nothing they world not do, and no length they would not go to, to feed, help and protect their children. This is only the very instinct of nature - although in human beings this parental desperation often reaches much further than the child's feeding or education. It often reaches as far as securing every possible material, social. financial and political advantage possible for the child. In this, it is a battle for the well being and triumph of a gene pool and the question of merit does not arise: therefore it is often seen that the parent will go to radical lengths - even lengths that may be deemed unfair to other people - to ensure the protection, endurance and success of their clan - their gene pool: their children.
All of this is fair game in nature except that as pointed out, the parental desperation involved can be extreme. Nothing is as valuable to a parent as its child, and we shall return to this point shortly. For this same reason extreme parental desperation aside from often placing unnecessary pressures on the children themselves can lead to much negativity.
Many friends of mine who are parents have often told me in a very dark and serious tone that they would murder anyone who tried to harm their child. Once again, this is fair game in nature. However in the world in which we live - many do the same or equally terrible things on account of this parental desperation.
Question: Would you murder on account of your child? To what extent would you go? Whom would you not shunt aside to advance your child's interests? If you had to kick down the chances of another child in any significant matter in order to assist your child, would you do so or not? If you had to tell lies for you child, would you do so or not? If you had to cheat others for the prosperity of your child, would you do so or not? If you had to bear false witness to save your child from a criminal sentence, would you do so or not?
Issue Number Three: Parental Control: Security and Reward
For a great many people also - particularly in our society, having children is an investment which provides security for the future and reward in old age. This in itself is a mercenary reason to have children but it is a real and very prevalent one. That age old question arises: "Who will look after me in my old age?"
Aside from this, one must point out that from time immemorial, having children was also an economic necessity: a family or clan needed more and more surviving young hands to pull in the hay and till the ground, and to ensure food security for all. It was therefore the case that chances of survival were always better in larger numbers.
Question: Is this one of the reasons you wish to have children and is it one of the expectations you have from your children?
Issue Number Four: The Unbearable Bond.
The bond between a parent and its child can reach unbearably deep. I often say to people that a Child is its Parent's immortality on this plane.
This can mean that both the parent and the child stand in that threshold of sanity and insanity where either can do almost anything no matter how desperate or far reaching for the sake of the other. At all events, that precious bond must suffer pain at death: and in some unpleasant instances where nature is turned on its head, it is the parent that has to watch its child die first. This sort of experience has made many people never the same again. However this is one fact of life that all have to deal with.
These are a few thoughts regarding which I would like to hear the thoughts of others - do you contemplate these things regarding parenthood? What else do you contemplate? |

I don't understand how the air we breathe is "help". Without the air, we would not exist at all. The air is a fundamental of our existence. So I can't see how it is help. Help should refer to assisting someone who is already existing to overcome a problem to move to an improved situation, or acheive happiness, etc. You cannot refer to something without which the person would not even exist in the first place as help. Frankly, would we not be better off not existing at all? |

Dlordsamurai: hmmm heaven has been of help to man kind since creation, the rain, the wind, the days, the nights, the sunshine, the earth for plants, the air we breath in. Please stop deceiving yourself. Everything in nature bespeaks struggle and combat for survival. Form the minute you are born the clock starts winding down. Every creature must eat other living things in order to survive. Every creature. Does this not tell you something about nature and life? The world is a beastly and wild place: and there is no reason to imagine some special empathetic "help" arriving from Katmandu. You speak about the sun, the air we breathe and the rain and such other things as being "help". That's not help: without those things, we would not exist at all and certainly not existing at all is a much better option than existing in this beastly world. Once born to this world, you are born unto a power, and that power is death. The truth is that there is not one single human being who knows what happens after death. We only tell ourselves desperate lies to comfort the fear of our certain and looming demise, wherewith we shall be tossed into a wooden box and thrown into the ground, covered up, and rot away to be consumed by maggots. . . |
