To the best of my knowledge lives were not lost until the python decided to dance and most of the lives lost came courtesy the python. Meanwhile
the herdsmen had been killing, raping and maiming and the python just looked on without dancing. Part of the encouragement to the agitation is the seemingly freedom of the herdsmen to terrorize others without any tangible reaction of govt. In fact the python will be sent after those who tried to make counter attacks on the herdsmen. So I don't understand if intelligence now means not reacting to a perceived aggression/marginalization of a people (which is their explained grievance).

Ok. And what about the Fulani Herdsmen from Libya that has been terrorizing farmers, kidnapping people and raping women?
Looks like the overall objective of the python dance was to create a scene and provide reason to label them terrorists.
And they fell for it with many lives wasted. Some the unfortunate casualties seem to be innocent people who were minding their businesses.

Nigeria makes world news for the wrong reason again.

IPOB members have been making their demonstrations and processions all this while and we didn't hear much crisis. Suddenly the Nigerian Army are drafted to the South East to dance as pythons. While the main dance has not yet started, hell is let loose in some states like Abia, Rivers and Jos and someone says the agitators should be blamed.

Is there a better explanation for this logic?

Mind you I'm not from the South East (before you label me IPOB).
