My dear brother, let me tell you one experience that hurts me till this day....it is not understanding that people can have psychological problems which are not known. You might see him as u serious, unproductive etc but he just might be truly finding it hard to cope. It's not their making it's just how they are wired in the brain. Unfortunately we in Nigeria don't do mental evaluation for our difficult to understand loved ones. Which guides is to helping them in ways they can follow and function with. I would take a leap and also assume that Muslims don't have a spike in the divorce rates because they are 'same' everywhere. While there are different levels of devotion in Islam, there is no 'modern' version. No Muslim (no matter how rich or 'exposed') would tell you Homosexuality is 'ok' or hijab is wrong or disagree on the definition of decent/indecent dressing.
