If CSU can not make a deposition that it came from them then where did he get the certificate.

That is IF the above info is real.

It's possible to issue replacement certificates. Even at that, they don't keep copies. It's not a Nigerian University!

The point is that, as clearly stated by CSU, it's of no importance to them. What is of value is his transcript which validates his having passed through the institution. You can have fake certificates easily but it isn't easy to get a fake transcript.

His transcript which is what is mostly required in the US. Na we carry certificates for head.

You didn't read about US institutions laying more emphasis on transcripts. The diploma is ceremonial and they may not have a copy so what are we comparing with? Reuben Abati has given an indepth explanation. Funny thing is that all three contenders have huge skeletons in their cupboards. May God heal our nation.

Irrespective of what the release of the results may reveal, Tinubu will not be scarred by it. But President Tinubu should see this as a reason to extend an olive branch to the opposition and the various stakeholders.
First he should remove Cardozo as the CBN chief and give the cabal it's right of selecting the individual they want. Wale Edun and Dele Alake too must be replaced.

Second, he should discontinue with the planned release of the findings of the CBN inquiry.

Third, after some months, he should order the EFCC to begin an investigation into the activities of the inquiry team and especially zero-in on the special investigator, Jim Obazee. He should make sure this man gets at least five years with hard labour.

If he does a few of these and more, things might begin to look up for his administration.

What has any cabal ever done in favor of the masses? It has always been about the selfish interest of a few elites from different parts of the nation. They may wield a lot of power but there's always very little achievement and sometimes negative results.

If only people understand the Yoruba adage that says "olowo kan laarin otosi mefa, otosi ni gbogbo won". Its simple economics and sociology. If 1 person is rich in the midst of 6 wretched ones, he can be classified as a poor man. Yoruba welfarism expects that he'll share what he has with his people. A billionaire sharing crumbs to people who have systematically been turned to beggars is not what God desires. It's what we need to get away from so our people can have fair opportunities and society can grow.

Hopefully the relevant documents will be released and we can then move on with our lives whatever happens. This distraction isn't helping our situation in any way.

It's so embarrassing that supposedly educated minds spend valuable time on only negative thoughts. This isn't about this particular topic. It applies to virtually every topic on Nairaland now.

The Nairaland of old was a place of sane and mature discussions with loads of opportunities and enlightenment.

When are they holding meetings with IDPs to plan for their restoration back to their homes and farms? There were many foreigners in our Universities in the 1970s - 80s. Also foreign lecturers. There were students from South Africa on Nigerian scholarships in Federal Government Colleges and Universities. Unfortunately, the deterioration in our educational system and many strikes changed everything.

It seems David needs help. I read through his childhood stories. He comes across as a damaged child with no regard for his parents. That makes it easy for one to understand his situation. Probably asylum in Ghana and some time to reflect properly or rehab will do him a lot of good.

I remember that years ago, the National Museum had a cultural centre consisting of a restaurant with some space for performances, arts and craft shops, adire making spot etc. I believe that it will provide easier access for the youth who are interested in the arts if training is made available at little or no cost.
