ehikwe22: The best way to curtail persistent attacks that resulted from land grabbing is to grab more land? You religious folks are too beclouded in your emotions that it affects your sense of judgement. Do you know that before the British created a homeland for the zionist in Palestine, they wanted to create a homeland for them in any British Africa and they eventually settled for Uganda - not even Ethiopa that has a handful of Jews that would have made it a bit legitimate, but it's because of course Ethiopa wasn't their colony and it was simply a game of power. Since this land was handed to them. they've been on a land grabbing spree trying to steal land under any guise available. The Palestinians as well don't want them around them.
The British already know that there is no way extremist Islam can coexist with zionist Jews but they still went ahead and dropped them there. When you drop a fire in the midst of a gunpowder, what do you expect? There will never be solution to the Palestinian issue. Each group wants to exterminate the other. The Jews have the capacity, but the backlash is what is deterring them. The backlash might wipe them off the surface of the earth as well. If Turkey and Iran joins a direct confrontation alonside other Arabian powers, doesn't matter who is in support of Israel, Israel will be wiped off the face of the earth in no time Both of them are guilty no doubt. They have to come to an agreement for peace to reign. For the sake of world peace, we continue to pray that God makes a way soonest. |

According to historical records, there have been times that Israel and Palestine could have made peace but each offer was said to have been rejected by Palestinians. A brief summary. Those interested can read further on these... 1. Peel Commission in 1936/1937 when Palestine was offered 80% and Israel 20%. 2.1947...UN voted for the nations to coexist. The Palestinians refused and went to war with Israel. Israel won the war. 3.1967 ....the six day war after the Arab League met in Sudan and decided that they would not recognise nor negotiate with Israel. They declared that there will be no peace for Israel. Israel won the war and expanded it's territory. 4. 2000....Ehud Barak and Yasser Arafat met with Bill Clinton at Camp David with the hope of reaching a compromise. Eventually, the talks failed since PLO didn't agree. 5. 2008....Ehud Olmert and Mahmoud Abbass. Same old story. The day the two nations realise that they have no choice but to live together and Arabs stop believing they must wipe out Israel, a solution will be found and agreed upon. May God touch all hardened hearts that we may have peace in the world. |

ehikwe22: You do not know anything then. Both group want the other completely eliminated. Israel don't know how to do it without triggering a full scale war that might clear them off the surface of the earth. Palestine don't have the capacity to pull it off as their backers are not willing to stick out there heads but Israel going too far will result in that. If you know the history and read the body language from both groups, you'll already know this. Israel had a small land area before. They know Palestine must exist and provide some amenities for them. They grabbed more land over the years in retaliation to persistent attacks and wars. That's how Egypt came about making peace with them to get their territory back. Read up on the stories. |

turmacs: Bro please stop saying nonsense. Why would the Palestinians not refuse? Imagine someone coming to your land and forcefully claiming it as theirs, and when problems start, they start telling you "the only solution is to split the land in two" Who would agree to that? Even that suggestion alone future proves that Israelis are not the owners of that land. Even in the Bible, the story of king Solomon and the two wives, the one that was not the owner of the baby was the one suggesting for the baby to be split in two, use your head. The reality is that they can live together in peace if they choose to. I don't support either really because over the years, they've both been nasty to each other. The difference is that the Palestinian leaders unwittingly expose innocent civilians who end up as collateral damage. People have come to understand that. It's the reason why there's no serious world outcry unlike in the past. I shed a lot of tears for them in the past. I've learnt to stay neutral while praying that the two stubborn peoples resolve their issues. |

The same way they tell Civilians to evacuate because they will destroy Palestine knowing there is no where to just wake up in the morning and evacuate to, is the same way they do eye service. The next thing is they will attack airports and hospitals. Israel modus operandi is to attack essential services which serve civilians anytime they have issues. They've been doing it in several countries numerous times, Lebanon, SYrial several time I do have a good knowledge of history. The video validated some of what I know. |

Originalsly: Palestine be disagreeing with what? Which nation would accept independence on the grounds of being slaves? Do you know Israel abandoned the last peace talks?.... Israel does not want Palestine to be a State. It's no different from the peace talks with Russia and the US at the start of the Ukraine crisis. US came with conditions for Russia to accept ... and when Russia didn't... Russia is accused of not wanting peace. Actually, Hamas (maybe not all Palestinians) simply wants Israel out of that place. |

And Sinai belongs to Egypt Saudi Arabia is large. Perhaps they can create resettlement space in addition to Egypt and Israel being persuaded to give up some land. Let there be a Palestine nation in place. Problem is that the Palestinians rejected all offers in the past. Their only condition for peace is that Israel should not be recognised. They don't want to coexist. The terrorists among them hope to wipe out Jews someday. |

Unfortunately, each time it's Palestine that disagrees because all they want is the nonexistence of Israel which isn't possible. It seems they're ably supported by Iran/Hezbollah while Egypt has been a mediator. |

Travel › Re: Sanwo-Olu: Lagos Metro Train To Switch To Electricity Fully From October 16 by delpee(f): 1:24pm On Oct 12, 2023 |
MeineMutter: They have UPS and generator backups.
Once Nepa takes light, the train will automatically switch to UPS while source of electricity is changed to generator automatically. This will happen within a few minutes. LAMATA had explained all this when it was being inaugurated.
What they would have done better (and in other designs in the future) would have been to move the electricity overhead instead of it being on track. I know it may be a bit expensive but it would be more safer.
Also, it’s good they privatize some parts of the operations to allow speed of efficiency.
Good they allow private operators who can bring rolling stocks (on to the rail) etc to operate and pay operational fees to government.
That sector we are looking with ‘small eyes’ is a multibillion dollar, money-spinning sector.
It’s good that Lagos state government quickly start implementing other lines and put LAMATA on Nigerian Stock Exchange to raise funds and allow experts to run transportation business in Lagos.
I see no reason why Ogun and Ondo are still sleeping on this. They ought to have been putting finishing touches to their own lines that would have met that of Lagos state their borders.
A simple arithmetic of an average revenue that could be generated in a day by Lagos state government is this:
At current 80,000 passengers x N350 x 29 days (average of the months) = N812,000,000
Assuming we leave a Margin of Error of 2% on that revenue, Lagos State will still make a whopping N795,000,000 in a month on a short distance train of not out to 20km.
That’s just on 12 trips o.
One can imagine what they would make when the trip gets to 75.
I expect its overhead cost not to exceed 38% of the revenue it generates.
We should watch out for a more prosperous Lagos in the coming years.
One more time; it’s good Lagos State starts on all other Lines now and also extend this Blue Line, quickly, to Seme border.
Thank God, the train can run on raised tracks on bridges because from Ijanikin to Seme is mostly a water-lodge area. They will need to spend heavily on bridge and concrete slab construction. There are plans for trains across the SW under the DAWN Commission. The upcoming Red Line will get to Sango Otta I think. |

Mama Magaji was one of Awolowo's Political Grass roots Organizers and Tinubu used to help her in Organizing the Youths of Isale Eko for their Political objectives Heard this story and his having attended Children Home School, Ibadan. If true, he should come out clean. Obviously, he had issues with secondary school. That's not a crime or something to be ashamed of. Afterall, in that era, many people skipped secondary school because they couldn't afford it. The smart ones did private GCE while working to meet up and to attend higher institutions.
