Celebrities › Re: MOHBAD: What Lessons Have You Learnt From His Case? by delpee(f): 7:55pm On Oct 30, 2023 |
So sad that the shining light dimmed so fast... From all the stories I've seen online, I deduced as follows:
Divorce/separation has a negative impact on the children. Co parenting is wise such that the parent who has custody should allow the other parent access to the child. It seems the lack of motherly love and care in his younger years had a huge impact on him.
A man who chooses to have custody of young children should try to delay remarriage to avoid step-mum issues. Otherwise, he can leave the kids with their mum and provide their basic needs.
Mohbad's mum said she was given a prophecy that he's a child of promise yet she abandoned that same child for many years...his growing up years when he needed her most to guide him towards the fulfillment of God's promise.
Parents should understand that although 18 is the age of adulthood, many children still need proper mentoring to reach full potential. His dad paid his fees for a higher institution but seems he didn't follow up to know in time that he had left school to become a Marlian.
People shouldn't allow poverty to becloud their views. Everyone around him seemed to be more interested in how he could lift them out of poverty than his general well being.
Patronising unregistered nurses aka auxiliary nurses is a risky venture. Seeing a doctor in reputable hospitals is safer. He could afford it. Besides, LASG has a relatively cheap health insurance scheme for those who are interested. ...IleraEko.
When in doubt about your partner, it's wise to do your checks properly and quit the relationship if need be. It's dangerous living with someone you can't trust. If all is well, it strengthens the relationship.
Those from indigent backgrounds are often not so exposed about the complexities of legal relationships. It's safer to consult relevant NGOs and experienced lawyers when signing agreements.
His parents and those around him could have sought the help of NGOs and other knowledgeable people when they realised that he was being ill-treated. Keeping quiet helps no one under the circumstances.
May Ilerioluwas gentle soul rest in perfect peace. |

Hmmm! Where's the Federal Character Commission in all these? The lopsided appointments ain't right at all. We complained under GEJ and PMB. I thought he'll be fair to all. Perhaps he has reasons....🤔
Maybe we need to wait till the end and then have a spreadsheet of all appointments to see and assess all at a glance. So far, not so good. |

Mtmike: Just imagine FG giving Inoson and Nord this 160billion for car production for 4years, I’m sure innoson with that same money can be replacing the car for the annually. Imagine how their production will increase, imagine the number of people that will get jobs….. Nigeria is cursed True, Nord and Innoson can make a significant difference if encouraged. The ability to produce steel and batteries here will significantly reduce the need for forex. They don't care about growing the people and the economy. It's so heartbreaking. |

Osun is so burdened with loans.
Some of those flyovers may not be immediately required for traffic management. It seems more like a trend to me. Is Mayfair roundabout usually seriously congested for instance?
Why not spend more on education, health and rural infrastructure? E.g Electricity, potable water and rural roads that will enhance farming activities. |

Politics › Re: Kalu Aja, Nefertiti Hail Sani Abacha's Administration by delpee(f): 9:10am On Oct 27, 2023 |
1Dray: Sorry but Abacha was in charge in the 90's not in the 80's. Plus, even though I was in my teens, I was an active actor in my parent's business, I know how much profit my parents made in their business. I know how easy it was for my mum to throw around money given any opportunity. Can it same be said today? I know how very cheap virtually everything was back then. Today even the supposedly rich people with mansions, now resort to using firewood to cook. I already said I referred to the 80s to show that we've had it rough before so it's nothing new. Perhaps the teaching of true history will make it easier for everyone to understand that life is in cycles. We should try to ensure that our cycles bring progress not devastation. Yes, economically the nation did fairly well under Abacha. It wasn't because he had great policies. The economy was simply buoyant at that time. That's why his siphoning of funds and our huge investment in ECOMOG/ECOWAS had little or no significant impact on our lives. Our foreign engagements brought glory to the nation then mo doubts but if he had invested more in infrastructure, we won't be at this crossroad today. For instance, the Lagos - Ibadan expressway and rail projects across the country could have been dealt with then. Instead, he was saving our money for us in his name. |

1Dray: Are you kidding me? I am talking about Abacha's regime, not Buhari's previous regime. Are you sure you are living on this planet then? I was in secondary school then, I never met someone in dire need then. People are now dropping dead due to starvation. He was just slaughtering desperate politicians and never starved the masses. The essenco years preceeded that. I only alluded to the fact to show that we've been through bad times like this before. That was at some point in the 80s. I was already a parent during the Abacha era. I know how bad things were politically especially the intimidation of perceived opponents and democrats. |

1Dray: That life was bad for you then wasn't my fault. Take your tears somewhere else. Don't vent your frustration on me. Life was super better for me and my family then. My parents were just business people for your information. There was no hunger and starvation like it now seen all over the place. Nigeria had never had it this bad. People now slump and die courtesy of hunger and starvation. People now experience extreme poverty. It was hard for everyone then. We were not poor but equally felt the pain. Are you aware of the "essenco" years when people queued to buy rationed basic commodities like milk, sugar, detergents etc? Nigeria has come a long way. If we all choose to be positive, unselfish and focused, our nation will rise again. |

I remember the jubilation on my street when Abacha died. You would have thought Nigeria won the World Cup.
If Abacha was in power, there would be no Nairaland or Twitter in Nigeria for them to share their opinions. Abi o. Obviously, those who were not old enough to experience the Abacha era can't understand how or why we fought so hard for democracy. Politics › Re: Money Peter Obi Spent On Lawyers Can Pay 500k Polling Agents Nationwide by delpee(f): 1:41pm On Oct 26, 2023 |
HitlerWasRight: GEJ had a very poor showing in the SE courtesy of that thief Obi whom GEJ foolishly appointed as his SE campaign director.
SE PDP big wigs complained to GEJ that Obi was yet to mobilise funds for GEJ's re-election campaign for the SE.
Obi told GEJ that he will release the funds on the last minute to the polls which he never did.
Most SE PDP members did not do their ground mobilization because of obi's greed and centralisation of GEJ's campaign in the zone.
This is why GEJ has not been on speaking terms with Obi since he lost reelection .
Even the CPC wing of the APC warned their SW ACN counterparts not to celebrate Buhari's win as their doing but instead said it was a combination of voter apathy in the SE (brought about by Obi's greed) and the massive rigging done in the NW that saw Buhari through.
This is why GEJ never endorsed Obi but instead endorsed Tinubu in place of his own party candidate , Atiku for obvious reasons.
Obi is reaping his greed and theft of over #200bn earmarked to him as the SE PDP campaign coordinator in the 2015 elections.
No other individual has caused PDP so much damage than Obi.
Even Atiku choosing him as his running mate only saw to SE PDP working against Atiku .
The last elections, APC took Atiku's votes and allotted it to Obi .
PDP should make it part of their constitution to never accept Obi into their party., Ha! Interesting. Hope he has learnt his lessons towards 2027. |

3ple9iner: This does not proof anything because the guy claimed that Deji and Dino paid them to burn the APC women leader in Kogi state but the house that was burnt was the PDP women leader.
Is he saying that Deji and Dino both PDP members paid them to kill a PDP member?
The way he went about exposing everything also makes it look like his goal was/is to implicate the duo, even beaten criminals don't say the truth that easily.
The inconsistency is too much but you can still choose to believe whatever you want to. Thought so too. Was wondering why a criminal will confess about murder online to an unknown person. |
