AFRICA IS NOT DEVELOPING? Una go tell me whether na satellite and GPRS una ancestors dey use communicate. I don't blame you. I don't blame you people at all. Una go soon tell me whether manufacturing and technology were part of the occupations of una predecessors. |
Donald Duke did not steal anything. So whether good thief or bad thief, the man is no thief. Governor Duke does not have to steal. He knows where he can get money when he needs it and I doubt if there's any bank in Nigerian that won't give Donald Duke any amount he wants tin do any business he wants because he's proven himself worthy in Cross Rivers state. |
aight iice, I hope we cross paths in the forums. |
We discuss politics in here. This seems more to me like a health matter. |
Well, like I continue to say, I am not going to dwell on the spiritual or religious aspect of this. I did not tell you sickle cell will affect your children. I said inbreeding results in a low survival rate among the progeny. It doesn't have to be to be sickle cell. Lack of diversity of your children's gene pool can multiply the weaknesses inherent in your family or can greatly increase the probability of expressing some recessive characters that yield negative results. Then there is the problem of lethal genes (abiku). Then this brings me to the fact that INCEST is illegal in almost every country in the world. But like I said earlier, if you know you don't mind all of these, then go ahead bro, you have you whole life ahead of you. Live it to the fullest. You deserve each other. |
Oops! Sorry I didn't see the apology early enough. But all the same, I still don't think this is the place for nurexng. |
@nurexg from analysing your choice of words like "politics talks" and you general attitude and approach to issue, I take it you're not a smart fellow. I would also want to ask you how you came about know from the posts you read that there are no ladies posting on political issues. Are they supposed to introduce themselves saying "hi look at me, I'm a lady, I'm not dull and so I want to post on political matters"? Is that what you were expecting to see? Better retract back into whatever pit you're trying to crawl out from go and continue posting about home videos and jogodo music, and let more intelligent minds help you with your share of political thinking. |
Let them give the man back his money, and take back their house. What's the fuss all about? |
Why is she now your cousins sister? My friend, you're FUCKING YOUR COUSIN AND PROUD OF IT. Continue okay, have fun. I don't know whether what you're doing is good or bad so carry on. You can always scheme that other guy out of the map as long as you both work together. Then, when you guys are ready to begin your own lovely future, you can elope. What I can tell you as a biologist is that your children will not have good lives they will always be sick, always be weak, one may even die and you will start thinking God is punishing you. It's simply called inbreeding lack of diversity of their gene pool. But if you are okay with all that, carry on with your lives and may God bless you. |
I think a phone with those features is worth $600 (N75,000). Consider the Nokia N95 at $900 (N115,000). So I think the price is fair though its features do not measure fully to the N95. The issue I have with buying these new highend phones is that the very first versions may have software problems, mechanical problems, firmware wahala, circuitry errors and all. But after the first six months they would have recieved a lot of complaints and made corrections. So don't buy so early. You'll get the more trouble-free version, and it'll be much cheaper too. I'm planning to buy the Nokia N95 because the camera is out of this world. But I'm still giving it till September or November. |

We're mostly young Nigerians in here, if we do not learn the ethics of being organised or following due procedure, we will get to Aso Rock one day and appropriate the Defence Budget for Health. Then Benin Republic will conquer us in war. Seun knows me. When I was moderating the UNIBEN Group, I have notice for everyone to have their pics on their profile. After months of appealing and appealing they refused. One day, I just sat down and deleted 40% of the total members. No Long Thing! So sanity must be maintained in here. If there's anything Seun can do for this Nigeria that will rival any project Yar'Adua's is to teach 100,000 Nigerians to do things how they should be done. If those 100,000 should each touch 100,000 too, the whole of West Africa is saved. And I really see nothing wrong with refering to offenders with harsh words. Are you people saying that because Nigeria is a democracy, I should not place a generational curse on all armed robbers? In fact, may Osun inflict poverty on any fraudsters that refuse to post their get-rich-quick schemes in the risky business section. Yet this Nairaland Forum is a dictatorship not a democracy. A democracy does not have an owner! So, Seun is nice and friendly and considerate, but THIS IS A DICTATORSHIP! egold my brown backside. |

@I-man I believe government can still aid the private sector with financial capital on such an enormous project, as long as it is going to get its money back with interest. I'm against government operating businesses too but I also believe when the private sector has such a massive project that will benefit the nation, and does not have all the necessary funding, there is nothing wrong with government pumping in money in return for a stake in the project. As long as the project is going to be massively profitable and and the government can get back its money with bountiful interests, jobs are created, foreign investment flows in, I think that's fair enough. I love TINAPA. Don't they have like branded T-shirts that I can buy? @MILITIA I want to make it clear again militia, TINAPA was not built for poor or rich Nigerians to come and waste their time and money. It was built with the intention of attracting people from other country to bring in more foreign earnings. Don't you people know that a country cannot get any richer by recirculating it's cash from one hand to the other, we need to draw in money from another country and there are different ways to do it. Colonization, Yahoo-yahoo, Export, The Benin-Italian Connection, War a la Iraq, or Attracting foreign spending nicely. I think Duke chose the last option. Don't worry Cross Rivers will thank him later. By the time Cross Rivers state starts making up to $5billion annually from tourism, that's when they will build a small shrine behind Tinapa for the worship of Donald Duke. Just watch. Ordinary SHOPRITE in Lekki, or SilverBird Galleria, you cannot imagine how much they rake in yearly, not to talk about a mini-world like TINAPA. Abi you people think Donald Duke just woke up one morning and decided to build Tinapa? He tested the waters with what was happening at the Obudu Cattle Ranch, He tested the seas with the Obudu Mountain race, and he saw that people still wanted more of Cross Rivers before Tinapa was finalised. The fact that the man even acquired stakes with the state, local councils and his personal money shows you how much he believes in that project. Abeg Duke is no ordinary man O! The guy brain dey catch fire and he has to unleash that brainpower somewhere, somehow. |
How can you people be encouraging a breach of the constitution just because somebody is good. By the time you allow somebody who is good to breach the constitution, how do you prevent somebody who is bad? Anyway, about this Andy Uba Ministerial rumour, it is only a rumour for now. If it becomes more that a rumour, then you will realise that though the Northern pride can bend to allow an Ibo man rule Abuja, but not an Ibo man like Andy Uba with nothing to offer. And if at all the Senate still clears him, will you Nigerians sit back and cry? So there will be no form of protest? No O! There must be some kind of effective method of protest. There are many but I think civil disobedience is one. |
@9ja4eva I just felt it was about time people started seeing some real statistics as opposed to all this 99% bullshit that some people conjure out of thin air. |
Every venture in life requires capital. Even Romance requires Finance. |
What do you people even think corruption is? I don't blame the person that started this thread because that individual is outright ignorant and won't deny it. But what baffles me is when intelligent people back up this kind of 99% data. 42% of Nigerians are between the ages of 0-14 years old. What kind of corruption are they engaged in? Skipping gym class? 15% of the Nigerian population are married women. Mostly house wives. What kind of corruption are they engaged in? Overpricing of foodstuff or excessive use of haggling skills? 1% of the Nigerian population are elderly women above 65 years of age. Is their corruption attending weddings and burials? Let's even assume that all the adult males from 15 years and above, all the young ladies and all the elderly men are corrupt. I mean ALL! That will still amount to 42%. And we know this is not the case in reality there are a lot of honest young women out there who hardly step out of their parents houses, there are honest young men in the private sector: Access Bank, Haliburton, Shell, St Nicholas Hospital, CELTEL, Zinox, MTN and TotalFinaElf. Others are religious faithfuls. Generally, I would say 10% of Nigerians are corrupt, 20% more are corruptible when adequately induced. That is a total of 30% corrupt and potentially corrupt Nigerians at maximum. So abeg you people should shun fabulous statistics that as one person said, was pulled out of HEYMA's arse! |
Well, it has happened to me. Just slowly fade out of the picture and get as far away from them as possible. Remember, the keyword is to slowly/gradually fade out of the picture. And stop keeping scheming friends. |
"He who observes the wind will not sow; and he who regards the clouds will not reap" -Ecclesiastes |
That means I have avenged the way you made me laugh too when I first read your initial post. |
Guy, I say better jump that girl. If you both are meant to be together, she'll clean up her game and come back to you. I didn't say you should break up with her O! I said you should totally jump her case. Just skip her. Don't pick her calls, don't call, don't reply her texts. Don't go to see her and make sure she never meets you anywhere. That's what I mean by jumping/skipping her. Well if she was just trying to hang out, she'll find a way to get back to you. But if she was weighing her options, then she'll skip you too and at least you'll know it's over. Goodluck. |
