BIAFRALORD

I've already told you. What will happen is that before any such secession, the Ikwere people will adorn you with a customised strait jacket fashioned out of the Nigerian national flag. Green, White, Green for life!

By the way, stop listening to radio biafra. It's just another gimmick by the CIA to lure you into war so they can sell you weapons and sell the Nigerian government weapons too. The guy with the bigger purse will win and you will end up dead.

Politics › Re: Was Colonialism Good For Africa? by denex: 12:18pm On Jun 11, 2007
If You people can believe that the rape of our resources by England for more than 70 years did not do any damage, then I guess military rule for 14 years did far less damage.

Lemme put it this way, a hausa malam was made to pay tax to queen elizabeth for owning cattle.
British Agricultural companies employed farmers and payed them low wages exported the goods to England and earned profits which they later took to England too after colonialism, yet the farmers who recieved those low wages still payed taxes again to Alaye Elizabeth I I. And also, be reminded that all the land and therefore the resources in Nigeria belonged to the Omonile Queen Elizabeth too.
The only reason Britain and France left us was due to the World War 2 agreement that Russia and the US forced them to enter before they would help end the war. The agreement proposed freeing up the colonies for free trade and relationship with all nations if not we would have lived to know what colonialism is really about, we would have seen the real colour of apatheid. Some of us would have been in Iraq now fighting for England. A war we know nothing about. Just like our grandfathers were sent to fight to protect the Asian empires during world war 2.

Una never know wetin colonialism really be.

I have already told you people my mind. When I get into government, the best man will get the job. There will be foreign ministers, foreign special advisers and foreign policemen. Anybody that can do the job best will be appointed. I don't have time for racism or tribalism.

@ all

please we did not come to discuss UHE under this topic. Auwal, start a new thread that has to do with UHE.

@naijaway

among all the people that have been talking about the matter of secession in this country, na only people like you don make sense. It is not enough to just fight for a separation of the North from the South. The Southerners should realise that Nigeria belongs to them. They should be planning on how to chase these people out of this land and finally be in charge of this beautiful country as one.

No matter how much oil you have, you need barren land for waste disposal, building power plants and also , em , Yes! Testing nuclear weapons.

Meanwhile Auwal, e be like say you nor dey hear word. UHE will be landlocked, and therefore become a poor country. Just for you to go to Lekki beach, the Nigerian government will charge you $100 as a citizen of UHE. To ship one barrel of your imaginary oil, you will pay a 30% levy.

So you refuse to search by yourself abi? Why is it that everybody just wants to be spoonfed in their own dining room? Okay O! Don't worry. If you no know road I go show you. Ordinary: per capita nigeria 2007 you cannot search on google?

www7.nationalgeographic.ngm/0702/feature3

www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ni.html

If you like accept it, if you like don't. I know that I can take the horse to the river, but I can't force you to drink.

And by the way, don't you know that minimum wage is N7500/ month? In a year, that would give you N90,000. Covert to dollars dividing by 127, that's $708 minimum wage annually. Now divide by 365 = $1.95
this is the earnings per day of the poorest Nigerians. Is it less than $1?
Then let alone you want me to agree when somebody just blurts out: per capita income in Nigeria is less than $1!

I stand by my word. Per capita income in Nigeria is $1,400.

@topic. Like I said before, let's pay VAT on vattable goods only.

@uchetobi

you see, this is what the Nigerian consumer doesn't want to consider. The fact that these producers are using us. People do not even consider that the companies can bear the burden of the tax. They just want to unleash everything on the consumer.

Imagine the case of UAC catapulting the price of gala to N50. Despite the fact that they are making more than N20 on gala, a tax of N2 comes in, and not oly do they pass on the whole burden to the consumer, they also see this as and opportunity to add another N8 profit.
So now, with the help of this tax of N2, they are making a profit of N28.

Consumers don't want to face the true enemy. Everybody wants to use government as a frustration pinhada. Okay, carry on.
Politics › Re: Mugabe Must Go by denex: 9:59am On Jun 11, 2007
Am not saying the man is not good. But after 20 years he has not mentored someone that will carry on with his policies. If he dies today, the whole country will be in disarray. And most definitely, his son will take over.

That is what am against. Also, the presence of Mugabe in leadership of an African country for more than 20 years gives all these other African leaders the belief that they can do it too. Mugabe, Muammar Ghaddafi, Mubarrak, all the MU people must go!

Politics › Re: Who Do You Believe Won The April Presidential Elections by denex(op): 11:44pm On Jun 10, 2007
What I am asking here is who do you think won it? With a view to campaign, publicity and manifesto. The fact that Yar'Adua even had OBJ as one of his campaign mascots shows that he over did it. Abeg, I nor want dey bias for this discussion, but while one man dey give manifesto of 7 point agenda, his opponents are giving manifesto of "we must seize power from the PDP" is that enough to win votes?

Who would have won considering their effort. Yar'Adua had a strong point of transparency and performance in his state. That was what his campaigners capitalised on.
Atiku had the strong point of a successful struggle for justice and against Yar'Adua, he had the fact that Sharia was implemented in Katsina state by Yar'Adua. His campaign staff did not capitalise on any of these.

Imagine if a little reminder had been sent to us in the south that he implemented it in his state and his plan is to implement sharia nationally. Yar'Adua would have not only lost the whole Ibo, south-south and yoruba votes, but all the christian hausa and moderate muslim hausa votes. Then Buhari would be there to share the remaining with him. Yar'Adua would have lost so much that the highest level of rigging would've only been able to place him 9th.

But instead his opponents chose to hold on to the "we must seize power from the PDP" campaign plan. I can't vote for you just because you want to seize power. Okay after seizing power, do we just sit down and start staring at the power?

Abeg, to me, none other put his back into it like Yar'Adua.

@MILITIA

which kain talk be this? Yar'Adua and Goodluck were on every daily newspaper everyday from about 3 months to the elections. They were on all the TV stations, both government and private. Then there were all the billboards both within the metropolis and interstate. And not forgetting the 15 minute documentary featuring OBJ, Cecilia Ibru, Saro Wiwa's son and many more. There's the nationwide tour which OBJ took them on, that landed Yar'Adua in hospital.

Abeg, Yar'Adua's campaign covered 80% of all presidential campaigning before the election.

You're dull and you're doing it on purpose. You went to quote a 2004/2005 deposition just to prove your ignorance. What is all that for? When you're wrong, you're wrong. Don't go and cook outdated facts just to prove your fallacious statements. Type: per capita nigeria 2007

search that on google. I don't see any more reason to educate you. Afterall, nobody is paying me for it.

@Donzman

the way they do it here, we don't have a way to avoid the taxes because the producers pay the taxes to the government then they increase the prices of their products.

Well, I felt if the elections had been absolutely free and fair, Yar'Adua would have had a landslide victory. I didn't want this debate to start with a bias that's why I didn't declare my opinion. So it makes me ponder why the elections were not free and fair.

Abeg you people should stop talking about the break up of Nigeria. The main reason we have so much recognition world wide is because we're the largest population in Africa. And the so-called largest black nation.

And by the way, if at all you guys choose to go, the name UHE sounds daft. I'm applying for the contract to rebrand this new brave and bold empire.
Politics › Who Do You Believe Won The April Presidential Elections by denex(op): 11:24pm On Jun 09, 2007
People are protesting against the last elections, marred by irregularities and rigging.

But considering the massive effort put in by the candidates in campaign, publicity and the quality of their manifesto and also assuming there were no irregularities in the elections whatsoever, who would be Nigeria's president today?

I corinthians 7:36

But if any man thinks that he is behaving improperly towards his virgin, if she is part the flower of her youth, and thus it must be, let him do as he wishes. He does not sin; let them marry.

Now, thou must note that it does not say let them marry then they can do as they wish. It says let them do as they wish. Let them marry.

What this shows me is that as long as they are certain they are going to get married, and they know they can't control themselves anymore, they should run things then when the time comes, they get married. Nothing spoil.

I will start by saying that muslims should start up threads with muslim topics and Christians should start threads with christian topics.

Ehen, now back to the topic, I don't know why Jesus died. Maybe he too doesn't know why because the devil was ruling the earth and people were sinning everywhere till Jesus came and died on the cross. Today, the devil has a stronger grip on the earth and people are sinning times 10 of what the people of those days sinned.
