Abeg you guys should forgive me to show how the poem would be even with poet licence. I didn't know what was really amiss was linesense. Which I don't have!
I also didn't know it was a copycat job. No wonder there was reasonable imagery combined with terrible grammar permitted by poetic linesense.

I apologise.

Na wah O! I watched too and I think she was great. So now US Presidency is now a family rotation between the Bush and Clinton chieftancy families.
Well, I think Hillary will have the benefit of the battle of the sexes. All women would want to see a woman president for the first time.
Then there's also the benefit of President Clinton's legacy.

She just has to pipe down on the whole "terrorists are after us" mentality.

4) NIGERCOMMSAT-1
5) TINAPA
6) PAID OFF NATIONAL DEBT.
7) STABLE EXCHANGE RATE
cool N40billion FOREIGN RESERVE
9) no. I think it's getting too much.

Don't misunderstand me people, Obasanjo did some rubbish too, but e still try pass most presidents outside of the EU and Asia.

Politics › Re: Mugabe Must Go by denex: 11:33am On Jun 04, 2007
There are a lot of leaders of old that fought for the betterment of their people. President Robert Mugabe is one of those great men. Fidel Castro is one too and Maummar Ghaddafi is another. History will always remember them for what they achieved.
Notwithstanding, they have far outlived their relevance to life to life in the second millenium. All of them, including Hosni Mubarak, should leave this generation alone. They feel they are out to do good but what they do not realise is that the ills they stood up against and the imperialist powers they fought against have long disappeared. They are not even currently in tune with the wishes and aspirations of the youth and middle aged right now.

I love them all and will continue to respect them for what they achieved at the beginning of their rule, but right now, they should just hold their breaths and die!
Wetin sef? How person go be president for more than 20 years? Na knighthood abi chieftaincy title?

Maltreat or no maltreat, make them just go die.

Well, some of the major countries in the AU took on conflicts to resolve in their region. Nigeria took on the Liberian matter, Ethiopia took on the Somali crises, wetin South Africa and Egypt dey look?

Then there's the problem of foreign countries trying to start civil war in Zimbabwe. Like Australia promising 15million to opposition. That'll only be good to buy weapons and start killing each other for the next 23 years. That's plain wrong. In this modern world, we can't use violence as the answer.

I would have suggested pressuring Yar'Adua to take action, but Yar'Adua himself has already stated clearly during his swearing in that he won't operate a very strong foreign policy.

So I suppose the buck stops with Thabo Mbeki.

I'll support AFAM in saying that the western governments are using their media to "explode" issues out of proportion.

I'm not saying Mugabe is bad, my own point is that anybody who started ruling a country more than 20 years ago should go!

How can one man claim monopoly of leadership skills for more than 20 years?

Abeg they should all just die.

Obasanjo ruled, and left and came back 20 years later, and then ruled a second term, and then handed over. Still some of these men are still there.

Small pickin don grow to a mature married man with kids, all his life knowing just one president.

Abeg, Mugabe must go!
TV/Movies › Re: The Stupidest Movies You've Ever Watched? by denex: 11:05am On Jun 04, 2007
@Nella

Just gave me my best movie idea ever. I'm planning to shoot a spoof for all Nigerian homevideos and you just helped me decide what to call it:
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
or
WATCH OUT FOR PART 2!

And I see people on this thread mentioning Nigerian homevideos as their stupidest movie, some are saying this home video or that is their worst film.

The name "homevideo" is not because they are made for home viewing. I think it's because they are produced using home appliance: camcorders, actors' own wardrobe and cars, handy make-up, no studio and finally edited on personal computer. So I think the name emanated from:
Home (made) Video.

Abeg don't call Nollywood homevideo FILM anymore. There is no link between a camcorder and a professional Film camera.

Anyway, I'm trying to remember the name of the most stupid movie I've ever seen. I'll call my roommate from back in college because we watched it together. Second worst is THE HULK and ULTRAVIOLET. I can't believe it, it's a tie!!

@Ikamefa am definitely speaking from experience. I had a wonderful relation ship and my cousin, she had the best boyfriend in the world. Well, my own relationship collapsed cos my girlfriend suddenly had the desire to have more experience outside (like she was applying for a job). And after we broke up, I was looking up to my cousin's relationship as a model of love, till you won't believe what happens. The guy died in a car crash!
So either way, it ends up in pain.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Is George Bush Destroying What America Stands For? by denex: 9:52am On Jun 04, 2007
What about The U.S.A P.A.T.R.I.O.T Act (Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism)

The name sounds sweet shey? Go and read what is inside it. And guess who signed it into law? In fact guess who forwarded it in the first place?
By the way, the PATRIOT Act makes provision for domestic terrorism. Shebi DOMESTIC TERRORISM sounds horrifying. Well, it is simply defined by the act as terrorism carried out by us citizens. The act thereafter broadly defines domestic terrorism to include protests and lawful disobedience. So next time you see that your kind hearted, never-hurt-a-fly neighbour get arrested, be shocked all right but try to follow the case and maybe you'll find out that all she did was send a mail to somebody condemning George Bush, which the CIA now intercepted and read. Thanks to their CIA program and other right-snatching laws by George Bush.

At least in Nigeria, I can call my neighbour and say Nuclear Missile, Biological Weapon, Jihad, Airplane, Allah, Assassinate, Al Qaeda, Israel and have phone intimacy without anybody listening in or worst still getting arrested.

Patriot my bum. If supporting this kind of law make me a patriot, then I'd rather be rebel, nay, an Al Qaeda spy or even a full blown terrorist.

By the way, I don't think daviddylan got banned for just insulting people, the problem was accompanying it with statements like NO MORE TALIBAN! Don't you guys know that in Nigeria today people quote information from Nairaland in all spheres of life? And they don't take the information gotten here with a pinch of salt. Do you want people to go around saying they've confirmed that there is no more Taliban when the truth is that the Taliban is killing more innocent people right now than they ever needed to even when they were in power?

I would tell you that George Bush is not only destroying what America stands for, but GEORGE BUSH IS DESTROYING AMERICA. It is only because America had developed so much that he can come in and destroy and it is only slightly visible.

Give him a country like Nigeria that was already destroyed by 1999.
1) He would have attacked Cameroun over Bakassi not minding what the world court said.
2)He would have turned liberia upsidedown ie putting Liberia in worse situation than where it was during Charles Taylor.
3) Driven out all the investors from China.

And by the way, there are three major causes of the rise in fuel prices in America which I know. 2 of the causes are squarely on Bush and the 3rd is the Niger-Delta crises. George Bush caused the price of crude oil to rise due to this war on Iraq / threat on Iran / cutting down imports from Saudi. Then he went on messing up the economy with his tax rebates and other economic policies. Where were you when the dollar was depreciating and George Bush said it didn't really matter and that it might actually be good for the economy? He doesn't even know the difference between depreciation and devaluation of currency. The fact that China's yuan is devalued and their economy is leasing rapidly, That Bush man thought that if the dollar depreciates, there'll be an economic boom in the US.

This is a man that destroyed 4 profitable companies consecutively before entering Government and you expect him not to destroy. Anyway, I think this war on Afghanistan and Iraq is a good thing for America because if Bush had not found somewhere to destroy outside America, he would have destroyed inside.

By the way, on the issue of corruption, anybody who doesn't see anything wrong with what Paul Wolferwitz did must be doing the same.

@Wafarian,

I read your first post and though I wanted to say something on that, however, I felt that's old story. Only for you to come back and refresh our minds. This kind of Mubutu ideology does not hold water in this new millenium. And don't think I'm trying to insult you by saying you think like Mubutu, this was actually Mubutu's way of thinking and he executed it. Killing one of Africa's greatest freedom fighters: Patrice Lumumba.
I'm telling you. Go and kill Obasanjo today. That's when people go say. Oh, may his soul rest in peace, Eiya, and na the man bring GSM, and na the man launch TINAPA, and na the man consolidate banks, and na the man pay our everlasting debt, and na the man cause growth of the stock exchange, and na the man secure the cessation of the civil war. Kill him and you'll see people like Wole Soyinka & Gani crying.

There are constitutional means of restraining these people. Have you even read the constitution?
These people are cheating legally but we should do it savagely? It is time we started differentiating Nigeria from those savage countries that are making Africa look like that movie Cannibal Holocaust. Lest move in the league of Tunisia, SA and Egypt and stop all this talk about rounding up a bunch of old men to kill. I don't even think they should be jailed. There are ways of just tranquilizing their effect on this nation legally, maturedly and benevolently.

@boladez

thank God that there are people like you spreading the word where most others can't go. My heart is at rest knowing that if I hadn't seen this message to comment, there's someone like you that would have sufficiently taken care of the matter.

@ Wafarian,

I say just kill Obasanjo today and even Tinubu will say "Oh we had our differences, but he was a great man" . NLC will say he raised our salaries by a total of about 1000% minimum wage went from N800 to N7,500; Oh he was a listening president! You just wait and see this Yar'Adua government. No matter what the man does, people will say Oh how I wish Obasanjo will come back!
So you go ahead and kill them you hear? Whether the same people you were claiming to do a favour will not crucify you.
They did it to Jesus, when they begged pilate to crucify him. Even prefering Barrabas, a notorious thief.
Go on kill Obasanjo. An old man of about 80 (no football age), you want to execute him. Go and look at any old man aged 80 or above in your area. Look at him very well then imagine how you will feel if the next day, one agile young man executed him. Yes. That is how the heart of man works.

BACK TO THE MAIN ISSUE, YAR'ADUA IS NOT DULL. THOUGH HE LOOKS IT, HE'S NOT AT ALL.

By the way, if you guys don't like him, or you think he is doing Obasanjo's will, read the constitution! We can remove the man and his deputy before the End of this year rush new elections and have a brand new president and vice. You just have to know how.
Politics › Which Government Official Performed The Worst Under The Obasanjo Administration? by denex(op): 7:26am On Jun 04, 2007
Not counting governor Donald Duke, whose performance is just totally out of this world, I think the best is El Rufai; the Minister of the FCT. The man is very steadfast. Then there's Dora Akunyili, the Director General of NAFDAC. Charles Soludo, the Governor of the Central Bank was among my top 3, but after he
1) minted millions of coins that nobody would use.
2)Banned the old currency from circulation. (you don't mop up old currency by banning it. It is by encouraging people to accept it even more so that it can pass from the users to the commercial banks and then finally to the Central Bank who would then absorb them and replace with the new ones. Thought a professor would know that)
Anyway Charles Soludo still made my top 20.

The worst to me is GMD NNPC, Kupolokun, Sarumi when her was still a minister, Joseph Sanusi as Governor of CBN. and Ah not to forget Ezekwesili, the woman that left it all to God!

Most people say The DG of NAFDAC performed the best. But my people, I believe it is easier to work when 99% of the you work for are thanking you and praying for you and only 1% of the really bad ones aren't, unlike the FCT Minister who most people in the FCT just pray would die before he looks at the master plan again and notice something funny about their house.
Not to forget the many visits to their Imam, Pastor and Baba in order to place curses on the man. I think he performed very well in that kind of environment.

SO WHAT ARE YOUR OWN THOUGHTS?
Foreign Affairs › Re: Is George Bush Destroying What America Stands For? by denex: 7:44pm On Jun 03, 2007
@I-man

Why all your attempts to place specific location on wrong doing? Why this whole obsession with geography?

When I stated that US is now detaining people without trial, you said no. They were not being held in the US. They are in Guantanamo. And you claim I don't understand simple geography. The secret CIA detention centres from which they are being transported to Guantanamo, where are they? Are they located in Heaven? And what difference does it make? The fact that George Bush ordered detentions on the Cuban bay area, does that mean that it's Castro that detained the inmates? What has location got to do with abuse of human rights?

Then people are being killed and raped in Sudan with no change and you're telling me; No there's change. The killing and raping is no more in the south. They've now relocated to the west all thanks to the effort of the US president George Bush.

It's like telling me there are no more area boys in Ikeja, most of them have now moved to Ajah area killing, rioting and looting. Tinubu has achieved a lot.

Incidences of fraud and 419 on Nigerians has reduced. Fraudsters are now targeting Americans and Europeans through the internet, so lets clap for OBJ.

Does the relocation of a crime make it any less heinous?

Oh I was slapping you on your left cheek, now am slapping you on your right. So that calls for celebration? Please get real.

On the issue of Cheney shooting his hunting partner, my question is that if there was no wrong doing, why was there an attempt to hush the matter?
In fact why didn't the Vice President's partner shoot him, why is it the Vice President that had to shoot his hunting partner? Does he have a monopoly on making mistakes? The man donated $1000 to the Bush/Cheney, a paltry $1000 and he had the audacity to come and pressure Cheney for favours. The Vice President just couldn't hold his anger anymore and unleashed pellets into him.

And please don't be asking me for links. SEARCH! type: Cheney Whittington Ballistics

put it on the google search bar and click search. The various lies I've told in here, take some specific words from them and search on google. Click the links that appear from objective websites such as BBC. They are not proBUSH and they're not antiBUSH.

If you don't know something say you don't know don't just decide that any data outside the scope of your knowledge is false.

So have you now read the "Military Commissions Act of 2006"?

Have you researched the "CIA Program"

what about the John Warner Defence Authorization Act"?

Please, I know these are long tiring documents, but you have to read them to know what state these laws have placed the US.
Read these documents carefully as I have. Do not skip any parts. These are legal documents and the reason legal documents are always so long is so that ordinary people will not want to read them and that is how people sell off their rights without knowing. Just because of laziness to read and understand laws that are passed on them. The same method used by music and record labels to enslave artistes and by sports teams to buy over players' lives. Is what has been used to enslave people in the US.

1) The Military Commissions Act is to deal with foreigners. Mind you it makes provisions for the arrest and indefinite detention of "lawful foreign citizens" that means you! minding your business trying to make a decent living for yourself, George Bush has created an avenue for you to be arrested and detained indefinitely.

2) The Defence Authorization Act is to deal with US citizens that challenge or try to oppose the ill-treatment of the foreigners. It makes provisions for "Combatant Citizens" to be arrested and detained indefinitely. Mind you, a combatant citizen includes an unarmed protester.

These laws are not enacted for play. George Bush knows the effect that protesters had in ending the Vietnam war. So now there's the Defence Authorization Act allows for those protesters to be put away indefinitely without trial, without bail, indefinitely.

These two acts also determine that when trials are finally carried out, they should be in the form of court martials. The defendant only allowed to use a military lawyer, or a lawyer certified by the military. That is if and when they feel you should go for trial.

The word indefinitely keeps appearing in the Acts: "Detained Indefinitely" or "Habeas Corpus suspended Indefinitely".
Now indefinitely does not mean for the mean time. It mean up to 99 years and above. So it could be 2 hours, it could be 6 years, 87 years or till death do you out. By the way, if you're found to be innocent, the act takes away your right to sue!
How can you want to say rights have not been depleted? Is it till you see Hausa MOPOL men with koboko in the middle of New York flogging reporters and citizens before you know that human rights have depleted.

From the way George Bush ignores the Congress and waives the will of the people, you should know he has acquired some new powers that were not there before. Was this how previous presidents operated in the US? Even Bush senior wasn't this dictatorial and totalitarian.

By the way what's your idea of a dictator? Some of you have a mental picture of a dictator as a chubby african leader in military uniform.
A dictator is a leader who has personal ideas and makes sure they are realized despite the agreement or disagreement of the rest of the populace. Can we see an example of this in the recent plan to build up troops in Iraq? You be the judge.

Unemployment levels during the last year of Clinton's tenure in 1999 was 4.1% compared to George Bush's best which current figure is 4.5% this figure just came in from the Bureau of Labour Statistics on Friday June 1st but is Bush's 4.5% better than Clinton's 4.1%?
Type: True US unemployment statistics figures.

I am not happy with all this Bush laundering O! I'm not happy at all.

Lastly, how can you ask me to paste links for you. If I did that, I'll be trying to restrict your reading to only those websites that fully support my view. For God sake there is GOOGLE. Take some search words from my assertions and search the entire internet. You'll find different views and be the judge. I can't paste links that are bias. While browsing, I saw a website: www.bushlies.com I didn't even bother to click on it. So I will not try to put blinders on you. I'm not George Bush.

And stop trying to pass me off as a savage that just came at you with insults. After my initial posts, you called me an oaf, a lie and also ignorant. You even recall that after your first insult I tried to make peace with you. There is a reason why I don't take your quotes and glare them over and over again.

I said George Bush's threat made them start pursuing Nuclear POWER. ie caused them to abandon the Clinton deal and he's accusing me of tricks. Which level?

even if you ploughed back all your dividends, including the 1 for 3 bonus, it wouldn't amount to 100,000 by the way, 100,000 shares or N100,000? Either way, the 1 for every 3 bonus would not get you 100,000 whether naira or shares. It must be a typographical error.
But all the same, my best stock was GTB bought at N7.00 and sold after the 1 for 3 bonus became tradeable. I sold at about N17.00. The reason I sold was because they underwent an expensive total rebranding process without permission from majority of shareholders.

valuable lesson learnt there. Very low cost stocks with prospects and good management will multiply your assets. High end shares of large corporations and conglomerates should be avoided. Eg all oil companies, nestle, guinness, you know the rest. They remain almost constant gaining N2 today, losing it tomorrow, staying unchanged the day after.

And finally, thou shalt cast away any fast rising stock after it has risen a while. Do not buy any fast rising stock. Remember first bank of last year? Instead of dumping when the stock got to N50, some people kept buying. Some even came in to buy at above N60 only for it to plummet to about N30.

Anyway, my worst stock is WEMA Bank. Na God go judge them.

Love is a story that ends up in pain
you may take a million chances, it all is the same
to some it's solace, to others a game.

Love is a splinter in the middle of your brain
only brings hurting and so much migraine
and it keeps on coming to drive you insane.

Starts with a smile and ends in a tear
leaves enough sorrow for the rest of your years
love is a vision that never gets clear.

Love is a battle fought all in vain
Today it's sunshine, tomorrow it's rain.
Love is a story, need I say it again?

Life is a tale by an idiot man

an epistle of a lunatic

Christianity and Islam are foreign religions that were forcefully and deceptively. Christianity was forced on us during the COLONIAL conquest and Islam was imposed during the violent Jihads. That doesn't mean they represent the true God. Imagine if it had been the Chinese that conquered us. We would have all been worshipping Buddha by now.
We have abandoned our own God for other people. In Cuba, Haiti and Brazil, Osun who is a yoruba Goddess, is being worshipped. We've ignored our own Goddess of fertility, how do we expect our women to have babies.
No wonder everyone is going to churches to seek pregnancy yet no result.
Except for Cele churches which are just a disguised form of Osun worship (white cloth, palm oil, candles, barefeet, waterfront).

Abeg water no get enemy. My soul belongs to divine Osun.

Business › Comprehensive Business Proposals Or Business Plans by denex(op): 3:22pm On Jun 02, 2007
I write at least a 10 page business proposal from the scantiest business idea including cost estimates and logistics. From partnership proposals to event sponsorship proposals and contract proposals.

Comprehensively structured business plans. No down payments or advance fees. You give me your idea, I deliver and get paid.

No typos, no bogus ideologies.

Lest I forget, movie scripts too. 120 page in Hollywood format and standard.

Business › Re: Please Suggest A Business Name! by denex: 2:47pm On Jun 02, 2007
Your target market is the young elite and nouveau riche. So you have to get a name that really appeals to them. Most young execs these days have some knowledge of european languages: and they feel it's really chic. So give 'em what they want. Something based in Italian, French or Spanish as long as it makes sense and is easy to pronounce. Though PINK SEPTEMBER DECORS sounds fly too. It appeals to ladies and it's ladies that make most of the household purchasing decisions. Even bachelors usually ask their female colleagues to help them pick out decorations. Anyway, these are the ones I suggest:
Chez Moi
Magnifique
Mi Casa

or if it's more about furniture, especially made of wood, just call it
woodworx.

Politics › Re: Bush's War Is Turning Sands Of Iraq Blood Red: Robert Bird by denex: 2:21pm On Jun 02, 2007
I was shocked to see these assertions by Senator Byrd. So some people know this and nothing still happens. All that has been said by Byrd is the same thing I mentioned yet nobody wants to believe. No this is a who's been in the senate when Bush was still in school and people are still doubting. I don't know what else to say, but I must thank you AFAM for bringing this to light.
