Convert the figures for year 2000 to the exchange rate of the Pound in year 2000, then convert the figures in year 2007 using the exchange rate to the Pound in year 2007. What you have there my friend is total economic decline. The stock market is actually crashing but inflation is making it look good. Even Ethiopia has gone into Somalia and stabilized the country within a few months and now they are pulling out.

My dear brother, you keep mentioning the war as the reason for more debt, slow economic growth and all other woes. You forget to remember that it was one man that started this war and therefore caused all these problems.

Secondly it is sad that you do not really know what martial law is. It's not when you seen men carrying swords sound the streets beating up citizens the way you see in old kungfu movies. It is when a bill is passed into something like the antiterror law that makes provision for peoples houses to be searched without permits, privacy invaded, detention without trial based on suspicion of intent to distabilise the entity. It also increases executive powers and the gives the commander in chief of the military room to act unilaterally with the aid of veto powers. That is the bill that was passed after 911. Rigged the Election to get into office for his first tenure. Ballot papers were found loitering in as far away as Australia!

He started his administration with tax rebates. These tax rebates took money back from government coffers to the hand of the consumers and since there was so much money in the hands of the consumers, the producers wanted it so they reduced supply. Too much money chasing too few goods that's good ol' inflation. That's the genesis of how 1is almost $2 today.

Secondly, since the producers saw they were making equal amount of money by producing less, they didn't see the use of huge staff. Therefore job cuts in the early 2000. Even the companies that have been trying to cut jobs but didn't know how, the 911 disaster came as a good excuse.

US debt is now more than $7trillion. Come, I didn't say billion O! $7trillion! That's almost double where Clinton left it. Now, the US had a debt ceiling of $6trillion; when it got there, bush pushed for it to be $7trillion. Nothing dey happen. Now it's 7, he says $8trillion wouldn't be bad. And very few Americans know about this.

Infringement on constitutional rights is at it's worst. Americans used to have some freedoms like em lemme see, okay, when you get arrested at least you're sure of a phone call, a lawyer which even if you can't afford one, the state would provide for you. These new 911 act and antiterror laws that have been passed place the entire US in a state of emergency. And in a state of emergency, constitutional laws can be bypassed. You could be thrown in guantanamo and even if you can afford 200 lawyers, not one will be allowed to see you.

As a nigerian, you must have heard the term awaiting trial. That's when you're in jail without ever stepping into court. It was most prominent during the Abacha days. But did you ever think people would be held in the USA for four years without trial. Four years just for being a suspect. Do you people actually know that a suspect is innocent? It's only a convict that is guilty.

Now there's also the issue of wiretaps, bugging and reading of your email by Federal agents without necessary approval obtained through constitutional means. W. has also listed torture as one of the acceptable means of obtaining information from suspects. So watch out. The next time you're screaming "I know my rights" do you really?

Everybody is saying this and that about the attack on Iraq. The attack on Iraq was not based on 911. 7 months before 911, W. called his war cabinet together to gather logistics on the possibility of a war on Iraq. The Taliban and Alqaeda attacked the US, it wasn't Iraq. In fact W. asked his war chiefs if there was a possibility of linking the 911 incidence with Iraq and they all said no. It was well known in the intelligence community that Saddam and Bin Laden were enemies. Well, I can't tell you what happenned after that.

Did Dick Cheney enrich himself during this war. Well, $4billion contract to Haliburton to put out fires in Oil wells after the war. Which was later carried out at a cost of $75million! Hmmm. Is defineable as usury, that's like 5333%. Well, I really can't say.

Then of course there's the other contract for supply of military utilities bottled water, mattresses and meals. Now, what is an oil company doing feeding soldiers? Dem don become mama put? Oh lest I forget. Government auditors later admitted Halliburton overcharged more than $27million for the food.
But then again what is an oil company doing transporting mattresses to Iraq for the US Army. An Army with 9 warships currently in the Gulf, thousands of choppers and Humvees in Iraq. So is Dick really making any money from the war? The answer would be No! That's of course if I chose to be ignorant!

Furthermore, I know President George W. Bush has a personal reason for attacking Iraq partly to kill Saddam because Saddam tried to kill his daddy, partly to make Harken Energy one of the major players in the US petroleum market (silly me. I forgot to tell y'all that as Dick Cheney is to Halliburton, and OBJ is to Bells, George W. Bush is to Harken Energy). But no matter the Agenda, do you realise the cost of a human life? Soldiers are not chicken that you just sacrifice their lives for your own personal beliefs. More than 3000 US soldiers have been killed and I have personally taken time to look at the pictures little kids. More than 35% of them are below 20. Majority of them are south American immigrants some not even granted citizenship before they were rounded up to Iraq to die. Even one Nigerian. Some of them not even up to the age of watching porn. But recruited and sent to Iraq with a gun. I looked at their faces, their innocent smiles. I read the memorials posted by their families they all had mums and dads. By the way, let us not forget that George Bush was a military pilot during the Vietnam war and in 1972 he disappeared when it was time for him to make good on his obligations. E know say life sweet abi?

US citizens living like common "almajiris" in Louisiana 20 months after hurricane Katrina? Little is being done. Yet they can boldly send AID to Africa. Nature just created a little sample of the true African experience and they can't handle it. Approximately $25billion is needed to fix the damage done by the hurricane including rehabilitating the residents and W. says there's no money yet they are going to spend $380billion on Iraq. He has given Africa more than $30billion and is asking congress to approve another $30billion (this was yesterday 31st May 2007). If na your papa dey behave like this you go like am. You dey hospital e say e no get N25,000 for your operation yet e give one aristo chick N380,000, e donate N30,000 to charity organization for publicity sake. You no go kill am?

Complete and total deceit rather than transparency became rooted in the government. Scientists submitted a report of their observations on global warming which was meant for the UN, but W. felt it wouldn't get there till he added his own summissions. He edit the document to the extent that a paragraph reading "It is clear that emission of greenhouse gases and the combustion of carbon based fuels have a major role to play in the accelerated rate of global warming and melting of the solar ice caps"

"it is NOT clear WHETHER emission of greenhouse gases and the combustion of carbon based fuels have ANY role to play in the accelerated rate of global warming and melting of the solar ice caps".
Then there is the completely deceptive story of Patrick D. Tillman. A man who would most probably have been aiming for MVP in the NFL by now. Killed by his own fellow soldier in Afghanistan. And if you think that is the sad part, then am really sorry for you. Do you know that rather than for the Bush Administration to let people use this death as a Judgement of whether progress is being made on the wars, he takes the whole story and twists it 360. Patrick Tillman was given a Silver star Medal of valour for sacrificing his own life to protect his troops against the Taliban. Tales were spun about how he dived on a grenade and let himself explode rather than letting it get to his comrades. This fallacious tale of courage and selflessness, thousands more of young Americans signed up in the army.
Then there's the issue of the pictures. Actual pictures and satellite photos of WMDs being moved up and down by Saddam in order to dodge weapons inspectors. There photos were shown to the UN security council as evidence. Now are there no more photos? No more intelligence to support? No more satellite imaging? Abi make we borrow them Nigersat1?

Do you not know that all the Aid given to Africa is a facade? When any of these Western powers has messed up big time and people want to start scrutinizing them, that's when they'll remember O mother Africa. Do you not see beggars and poor people living in trailer parks, homeless destitutes from the 2005 hurricane disasters. They've not recieved help, then they'll sign a check and send it on a jet all the way down here to Africa.
The most annoying part of this whole debate is that most of us in here are Nigerians who have been to Nigeria. Mention any project that has been commissione by the US with all these many, many billions. Was a school built in your area? Perhaps a road was constructed farmers were given capital. All they do is buy new jeeps and label them USAGE, organise one small conference and invite all the journalists in the world, then recycle the money back to private accounts. So where is the corruption now? Enron, worldcomm, tyco, Harken, World bank chief, even AOL, so where is the corruption now. there's even a format for writing REAL movie scripts. Hollywood scripts are compulsorily about 120 pages (on assumption that a standard film should be 2 hours = 120 minutes. ie one page should approximately make 1 minute of film) but I think Nollywood can manage a 60 pager; they have various time consuming tricks.
Anyhow must importantly there must be logic in the entire screenplay. There should not be a bad guy simply for the sake of being bad. Bad guys must have a goal to achieve which must be something reasonable. However, what makes him a bad guy is that he might be going about it the wrong way.

I'm actually writing a script right now. I'm hoping it'll be my first movie. Everything about it is so top secret right now. All I can tell you is that it's HORROR and it's going to cost at least N7.8million to shoot of which right now I have not a dime.

Yeah! Lest I forget, watch a popular movie over and over again and attempt writing its script (change all names and locations) then give it to a friend to read and see if they can guess what movie it is. That will show how close you've come to putting your own imagined movie into words that can be translated by a director.

How can any living organism compare Grass 2 Grace with Independent. Now there's no doubt that FAZE has a single that is as good as any song in 2FACE's album. But realise that after counting 2 hot songs on FAZE's Album, the rest is just a whole load of horsecrap.
Experiment 1: ask people which track in 2FACE's album is their favourite and they'll mention different tracks. My favourite personally is "E be like say" aka "No be Small Thing". But ask about their favourite in FAZE's album and they will all mention Kolomental!

Experiment 2:
I took my PS3 and loaded the two albums. When you do that, you will have a collection of track that will appear suchwise: track1, track1, track2, track2, track3, track3, track4, track4, So you have to listen to the tracks one after the other to be able to name them. Even though they are arranged randomly You begin to realise that for every pair of tracks having the same track number, FAZE own is the whacker except for Kolomental which does better against 2FACE's corresponding track 10.

Abeg FAZE and 2FACE are not on the same level albumically!

This is what usually happens with all these MANUFACTURED artistes. Missy writes her songs, timbaland makes the beats, missy signed her up, clothes her puts melody in the music. Someone else does her dance choreography. All she does is appear.
Worst of all, who remembers the overhyped but totally talentless Samantha Mumba? Manufactured too. Blaque? manufactured. 3T (michael jackson's cousins) manufactured. Only real talent can survive on its own. Oh, oh lil' Romeo? Manufactured!

If Nollywood was a school, 98% of the students would flunk English. Ini Edo would get suspended for trying to sleep with the gym class master. There'd only be very rich or very poor students. (Nollywood never has a middle class). Kanayo O. Kanayo would be the school bully, Eucharia Anunobi would have to borrow some of her brother's eyebrow and Jim Iyke would be the kid whose dog always ate his homework.

I do not mean to insult anyone in here, but I have to imagine the kind of effort that a lot of rappers have put in this game over the years only for some slowpoke to list Pdiddy among the top 5 rappers OF ALL TIME! Puffy is not even a rapper; he's an entertainment promoter that can't stay
out of the limelight.
