At the time of the prophet, realising which neonate was hypoglycemic must have been difficult. Using dates or honey prophylactically must have saved many children.

alhamdulillah for the light of al Islam. A lot said in the Quran and hadith would be proven much later.

PoliticsRe: Governor Ajimobi Sacks SSG, Commissioners & Advisers by deols(f): 5:30pm On Sep 24, 2013
Anvaller: OK LET ME SAY THIS!

Well in an ideal situation, u are correct of course but in reality of Nigerian politics, u really can not view things this way cos this is not how things happen. The performance or otherwise of a commissioner is primarily dependent on the governor himself. The input of individual commissioner is secondary. As a commissioner, u may have all these ideas, if the mandate of ur ministry is not in line with the priority of the govrnor, u would have to just chill with ur ideas. And seriously, all these governors never have priorities across all ministries, nope!!!

During Lam era, it was ministry of works/OYSREB on his rural electrification projects. That was his priority. In Ladoja era, it was mainly ministry of Education and a little spark on Ministry of Agric on his primary/secondary school reform/Agric reform. During Akala era, it was mainly Ministry of works, ministry of health on his priority on roads and his hospital projects. In this Ajimobi regime, its been Ministry of works, Ministry of Environment on his city edification and beautification projects (the so called flower planting). That's his own priority. So in case of Dapo, u can take a look at Ajimobi, does he look like he likes sport? How many times has he referenced sport in his speeches or plans as a means of engaging the youth or even generating revenue? Do u think Dapo a mere commissioner can get anything done by himself if his governor's interest is on beautification? Dapo just like many of his of other commissioner colleagues would just have to chill or get knocked out. (Well, what am I saying? there has just been a mass knockout).

So the question is in such situation, what would all other several commissioners be doing? Well, they will continue to lobby the governor to take a look at their ideas and proposal and if he believes in it, they might have it but if he doesn't, nothing for them, some of them can just grapple with some petty projects in their ministries and that's all. And if u pressure the governor too much on this idea of urs, u might risk provoking him until he freaks out and sacks u. Very few commissioners will be willing to be sacked just like that, they'd prefer to take a chill pill and at least enjoy the paraphernalia of office until the governor is either ready to fund their project or never.

There are also situations where governors put projects that ought to have been executed by commissioners in charge of various special advisers. And do u know what that means? It means keeping the projects within the governors office. That will enable the governor to keep such projects as close to himself as much as possible. In this case, what do u expect the commissioners to do? This is how things happen these days, u must be a commissioner with a very strong influence on the governor's cabinet to have a serious project in ur charge in ur ministry, most especially if u have a governor that likes to keep a lot of stuffs to himself like Ajimobi obviously is.

Please note, that I am not taking up for Dapo here, I am not his fan, I am just analyzing things from what I know cos I know it. We all need to understand these dynamics b4 starting to make conclusions. All commissioners can never be irresponsible, non performing at the same time. This must have more to do with a clash between the governor's strategy against some political state of things internal to ACN. So at the end of the day, this sacking is not about us as claimed, its politics. So the politics that actually lead to this is still unknown but we will surely soon find out, trust politicians, they will soon start to talk and by the time various statements are pieced together, we shall know exactly why..

PS: Sorry for the long post, I type very fast and I get carried away
This is insightful. As a commissioner not allowed to do anything, the right thing would have been to resign. There is no way they can be safe from blames. Did they get paid for a job they did not do? so must they get the blame for what they did not.

What has Dapo Lam achieved as sports and youth commissioner. I never heard of anything he did. He should be retained only if he is a performer.

You are right.

But I don't agree that he is the least performing. I think he is not into propaganda.

whatever will make him do better should be done anyway even if it means sacking the whole cabinet.

I have nothing against my state governor. His mouth can kill sha. undecided

about the jinx, I want Ajimobi to get a second term. It would mean that he did well. And will send a message across that you will get it only by doing well and not by thuggery (Akala in mind). Subsequent governors would know to do well.

Kinikini: Peace @deols,

There is little really you can do to correct fixed mindset especially the stereotyping and the outburst / backlash that comes with these type of terror attacks. All explanations would fall on deaf ears. Well, we can pray to Allah to change the terrorist from their devilish ways.
Thank you jare. wa alaykum salam.

I should call it a day now I have to study for my exams.

In summary, and in retelling it to the dumb ans the dumbers. I was saying that I condemn these terrorist actions. I condemn them irrespective of who is carryong it out and against whom. whatever is wrong is simply wrong.

I am saddened by it and I hate that it keeps many of you from seeing the beauty of Islam cool.

At the same time, not every Muslim should have to suffer for the actions of a few people and no Muslim owes anyone apologies for the actions they did not take part in.

May Allah help Suffering Muslims wherever they are, may Allah save innocent people from the actions of terrorists everywhere in the world. May Allah show us his light and keep us firm in His Religion.

May Allah help the MuMus out of their mumuness wink grin

Sagamite: You are talking crap!

Don't think you can use moronic stories to deflect me.

I asked a simple question:

Are you saying there are no justifications for these actions in the Quran, the Hadith or the examples set by Mohammed?

Don't ever think I am the type you can use referring to one section of the Quran saying A about something to hide that another section of Islam said B about the same thing. I did not go to your kindergarten.

In the kindergarten I went to, we watched cartoons, drank milk and ate corn flakes. Not garri, pap and kewu.

You are even confirming some of it.

And what if you judge someone else has started the aggression like these Al-Shabaab have interpreted it? So they are justified to kill. grin

What is the women and children are un-believers? Are you saying Mohammed himself did not order the killing of inno?

Are you saying Mohammed himself did not order the killing and torture of captured prisoners of war?

So he made the laws but at the same showed you how to break it and have justifications in the law for breaking it?
Yes. I am saying that there are no justification for a group to carry arms and terrorise innocent people.and you had to ask even after I made it clear? Obviously you are reading without comprehension and arguing only for the sake of it.

If you are a sovereign nation and you get attacked, does it make sense to fold your arms and die? think man, think!

No. The prophet never ordered the killing of innocent people. There is a hadith of a nation he went to while seeking assylum. the children were made to stone him that he lost his front tooth. Even after that he didnt wish them harm but was hopeful that someday, they would become Muslims.

For your last question, you appear like a waste of time and like I have been doing with other dumb posters, I will ignore the dumb question.
IslamRe: Reactions To Westgate Murders By Muslim Scholars/imams by deols(f): 5:30pm On Sep 23, 2013
Sagamite: EXACTLY! grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

Once you can make that interpretation, then they are aggressors and if you kill the people that voted them in power you are justified. That is not un-Islamic.

So these terrorists are just following Islam.
Another dumb assertion. what does terrorism mean..from the word terror. If you have terrorised somebody or a people, you are a terrorist.

when you fight in Vietnam against many of your people's wish, you have terrorised others and are a terrorist.

Senator McCain was said to have killed innocent civilians in Vietnam, I think if true, it makes him a terrorist. If tomorrow, you are found terrorising your neighbourhood, you become another terrorist. You dont have to become it only if you are a Muslim. That is my point.

Did that sink?
IslamRe: Reactions To Westgate Murders By Muslim Scholars/imams by deols(f): 5:23pm On Sep 23, 2013
Sagamite: Really?

Since you are speaking from far from your nose, right down to the back and out of your arsse, so are you telling us people of other faiths do not want power or have no political or economic agenda?

So how come it is usually Muslims that use barbaric murder to express their political and economic agenda if "that is what it is about" and it has nothing to do with the religion?

There is something in the water they drink or the kebab they eat?

Stop chatting crap! It is RELIGION!
I think you are having an intellectual decline. Something's wrong with you. Probably senile in nature.

I didnt say that religion doesnt have a role. I only said ot is MUCH MORE..They play the religion card to get vulnerable Muslim youths into their fold. But I can tell you, there is more. Racial bigotry plays a role too. You may have read somalia12's posts yesterday. He didnt care much about Islam but the invasion of somalia by the Kenyans.

It only becomes very comfortable to just conclude, religion.

BTw, I wrote a long story enlightening you on the scenarios where Islam allowed fighting. Have you read that? I hope it is helpful.

Samunique: I think for muslims to save Islam from this shameful act, they av to go beyond talking and condemning.

Something is wrong foundermentally !
Though it will be very unfair to tag all muslims as bad and terrorists, we av so many good muslims.

But the question is, why are all terrorists muslims ?

Why do they always associate their terror acts with Islam? (am not saying they are fighting for islam) ok?

Now, it's very clear that something is wrong somewhere! So muslims leaders must stand and do something about it, if they are sincere enough in their stance to defend the innocency of islam in this case, because these evil people are bring islam to disrepute.
Why do you care so much about the religion they proclaim? Is it not ok to say terrorism is bad?

I dont even want to go on in explaining how some governments of the world are known terrorists.

I cannot help u all to reason beyond what you think you know of. I know I dont have the patience to go on and on like this is a kindergaten.

Terrorists-Islam is the basis of their actions.
The reason you think Islam is the factor is, you have failes to reason beyond your nose. Islam is used to gain empathy.

it is much more political and economic. The need for power too. If you look into the origin, you will find little Islam.

If anyone wants me to apologise because I am a Muslim, they should be ready to apologise on behalf of Nigerians for all the atrocities Nigerians commit. If you can not reason that out, I can help you no more.

Sagamite: Lets address the ignorance issue.

Are you saying there are no justifications for these actions in the Quran, the Hadith or the examples set by Mohammed?

If so, please lecture us on how these guys were wrong, according to Islam.
Let us help you out of your ignorance, omo Sagamu.

To start with, The prophet preached for 13 good years before he fought anyone. Most of those who accepted Islam were attracted by his GOoD Behaviour. Even before he became a prophet, he was known as the trustworthy.

when he brought the message his people were tormented, their property confiscated, etc.

They had to leave their own land(makkah), seeking assylum elsewhere. They went to Yathrib(Ethiopia) and finally settled in Madinnah.

While in Maddinah, they became a sovereignty as Madinnah was a land without a ruler and its people were divided among tribes. with the prophet's arrival, the people accepted him as their leader and the Islamic rule started there.

The idolators at makka just could not stand the growth and went ahead to fight a battle with the prophet. As a sovereign entity, it was only normal that they would protect themswlves. So they took up arms against the invaders.

Note that, they did not fight while under the pagan rulw in makkah nor did they start the fight in madinnah.

Rules of engagement in Islam include that -

*You do not start the agression.
*you do not harm women and children nor innocent civilians
*you do not destroy farm produce and animals
*you treat the prisoners of war right.(some prisoners were set free on the condition that they teach 10 muslims to read and write)
**etc

so it is wrong for any group of Muslim, not under a rule nor as a government to take up arms against anybody

this is why boko haram and alshabab etc cannot be representing Islam nor Muslims. You cant say the same of hamas though.

so with regards that particular battle, you will see verses urging them to fight. and at other times verses teaching them patience..

read about the treaty of hudaibiyya and see patience as practices by the prophet. Leadership by example too.

Abu Mikey: You talk thrash!!!!

More reason why I still think this stuff has blinded muslims for them not to reason with their medulla oblongata.
How can you say no muslim has to apologize, when we know this act was perpetrated by muslims.
Even if you not in support of the terrorists, you should at least, apologize, cos they your brothers in "religion" and they claim they doing it for the sake of their "religion".

Talk is Cheap, but cognitive reasoning is expensive, you've gotta "buy" some. Trust me wink
Have you apologised for 'Nigerians being 419ners?'

have you apologised for the MEND

and

polithifcians?

dont you think you should take responsibility and apologise for the actions of these NIGERIANS?
