Royal Roy: Welcome Mrs Damiso!!First born ladies as against simply first ladies? I am first lady/Queen/princess/chief care taker. The first two is how they see me. The last is how I see myself. As much as I can't take just anything from anyone is how much I can give all to the people I careee about. It is a feminine thing, I guess. God bless all the first ladies ![]() |
afrobaby: Lolz, My dear, no secret o, na God's gift.the red fonts say red flag. and the last is just classic. |
Kingauthur: @deols u will not believe this I go for extremely handsome guys coz then I was thinking of my future children I always tell my friends that 'mi o da mi o gbodo je nkan tio da'.I like that part. Beauty fades anyway. This stays. ![]() |
Royal Roy: Multi-national Nashville, welcome to the fun-room!!dodo with Okro? hian! |
bukatyne: If not for your profile on NL, I would have concluded you were Aisha.and what differentiates me from Aisha? I am kuku fine o. How are you too? |
@mazaje, do two wrongs make a right? If you loathe hausas so much for the said act, would it be right for Igbo Muslims to start to hate their fellow Igbos for the same reasons? |
I just want to know what is wrong with the comment and how it warrants my getting a ban.I could point out something but I may not accurately tell what he had in mind. He is in the best position to explain why he banned you. I can however assume that it has to do with you making claims that you don't know about especially when Muslims had said otherwise on the same thread. Your statement- she cannot end a marriage because her husband is enjoying one of the benefits Allah has bestowed on men alone. No matter how heartbroken or rejected she feels, she must stay married to him and get the eff over herselfis not only wrong but also disrespectful. |
Esji80: Assalamu alaikum.Sincerely U shld get an alfa/Ustaz hu preaches n adheres 2 d teachngs ov d Glorious QUR'AN n d SUNNAH ov D GREATEST MAN N D MOST ADORABLE PROPHET MUHAMMAD S.A.W dt ur parents o family do respect n listen to,to explain 2 them d consequences n effects ov marrying some1 Hu dislikes/hates HIJAB.Yes I agree with this. A few months ago, while in Nigeria, there was a case of a lady I heard of whose father would not allow to marry the brother she wanted. some Muslim elders were called upon and they got involved. It was going on well as I left. Just make sure the people involved are truly respectable. |
showietee: Ameen.what is 'the stream'? I still wish you would talk straight and explain what you mean. An offspring of what? oya explain and I hope you can prove these ones o, psychologically or not. |
You may be having a ureteric or bladder stone. see a doctor. |
@tbaba, thank you for the admonition. God help us! |
talktimi: Bored stiff but anyways are there guys fighting for their interests or that of Nigerians ? A rtd military officer told me just today that the main issue is about the revocation of oil block licences that is about to take place any time soon (i have no idea the veracity of this) ive also heard its because Atiku wants control of all the nations ports, on a grander much realistic scale, it might just be because of 2015 & northern presidency. The question we should ask ourselves across all political divides is do we really matter to these politicians we fight and abuse each other over ? |
I am concerned that her mother asked her to look for the money. From where ![]() |
Sissie: This reminds me of a time, I said women in physically abusive marriages should seek for divorce, and a guy wrote, so she will divorce him, marry another one and he does the same, she divorces again, not knowing she's getting old and men don't get old.Going through my following, I saw this again. I have always said it that the way men treat women/speak to them is a reflection of their background. That is the reason why in the olden days, the family a girl is marrying to was important to her family. People who have respect for the women in their own families will never see women as second class citizens, mock them or see them as objects for degradation. I used to want to go beyond my comfort zone and just feel the earth and mix with people. But people always reflect where they are from and you cannot change anyone to be different from the life they have always known. If the world must be better and men must treat women right, it must start from women asking to be treated right and then training their sons to treat women right. Responsible fathers will also more likely have responsible sons. A son may however be good despite having the irresponsible father with great determination, et al. Here is when I say, it begins with you...everyone has a role to play. |
Thanks to everyone for sharing their story. You made my days ![]() |
Ngokafor: ...ermm would have loved to talk more about the inner beauty but since you've struck that out, then I guess I'll make do with the physical....I wouldn't classify myself as beautiful as such cos that sounds so vain, but I know I can be easy on the eyesThis your last part sha o makes much sense. But erm, I think the bold is it with most people anyway. Beauty brings the attraction and then, they get to see more of each other. Need I say it that the better Nigeria becomes more real with people like you.Good to see it really is happening. |
afrobaby: @Ama, welcome to the fun room, this is where it is really happening, lolz. I love amarula too, its my sleeping drink, and hubby, menh, he loves it so much.ok. but there is no secret to the chelsea and arsenal part. would have asked to know how. really refreshing. But how did you show the wifely part? cook for him, take care of him? how? |
Chillisauce: Beauty and smiles attracted him first, before my inner beauty in terms of intelligence, humor etc.wowwoowow. what is the secret of the chilliness? and I am serious ![]() |
bellong: If beauty and handsomeness was her only criterion, she would have never looked at me twice...... I do not have that striking face to wow a lady.... She saw far beyond temporary measures...Wow. Not everyone is superficial after all. But being good enough to make all her criteria goes beyond what only looks can provide. |
Kingauthur: If u read my introduction u should know my own answer.wow! I like this. But the interesting side to it is, you would only go for the handsome ones. How handsome though? I cannot make compromise with the looks either ![]() There must be a lot to you sha o. Are you like, really reallly nice and patient? |
Royal Roy: Not married or engaged to anyone but I will aTtempt this question!!hmmmmmmmmn! that is interesting. Is your pocket full in addition to the swags? abi they are taking the swag and not minding the cash?? |
amarula: My name is Amaawwww. dont be depressed pleaseee. Is it about the job, your boss, twin or not being in a relationship ![]() anyways sha, be happy ![]() |
yellowpawpaw: Thanks for ur reply on d other thread.oh yeah..so he was attracted to your pawpawishness? lol. but do u think if you weren't that hawt! or not hawt at all and you were as caring as you are and laid out your cards, he would still have married you?? |
How do you think people feel when they present totally opposite of whom they really are on a social forum? Like you see someone begging and crying yesterday and today acting tough because it is a faceless forum? and ermm, there is this story on the homepage about a couple who met on Nl. what would you do to be sure that not one lying to themself, acting a different life and pretending to be whom they are not or filling the deficiencies with online brouhaha is not whom you are speaking with/admiring? would an online thing be enough to actually start feeling confident about a person? share your thoughts and more pls. |
emcemayo: that said i proposed to my husband and will do it again a hunderd times overwow! I am inspired. ![]() |
sorry. I havent been online. i will brb |
Hallie27: I don't wear niqob,I wear a knee length hijab,so he says its not :smart: enough. He showed me the kind of hijab he liked and its all these micro mini hijabs that cover up to the neck only, then you wear'smart' and fitting tops and skirts underneath. He is a good person generally and everyone loves him in both families, but he feels putting on hijab doesn't make you a good muslim;and almost everyone from both families agree with him. He says abayas are also not smart enough, and you can't wear abayas to work in the uk.If you have no doubt, you wont be talking about it and the doubt is very genuine. I believe marriage should be between people who want to live with each other and live with each other's faults. This man has seen something he doesn't like and rather than be ready to deal with it wants you to change for him. He will continue to have reasons for you to drop your like for his. I dont think that would make you happy. Your happiness is however paramount. Pray and then follow your heart. I wish you the best. |

I had said it too that the issue is already redundant. The hadith quoted is good enough. What we can agree on is, marriage is important to both the male and the female. |
showietee: Psychologically, women wants guardian and protections, so they ll a wanna be under a man but man feels free and can marry anytime.alhamdulillahi o. Even the person whose matter it is doesnt take it as wahala. Now I see the angle you are coming from. That a woman must have a mahram for economic reasons and even to travel, etc. These are as stipulated by the shareeah and not necessarily psychological. in fact, if not married, even her brother can be her mahram or her father. for example, when I am in Nigeria, I travel long journey only with my dad present. I couldnt even attend that program by Zakir Naik because he wasnt attending. so, You see, A woman still could not be married and still have these. But I assume it would be easier if the man involved is her husband. still, it is not psychological. More like, doing things right, according to Islam. The argument is redundant enough. and Thank you Showietee for handling it like a man. and btw, whenever your name pop up, I imagine that you are an alfa. I think you are an alfa. Are you not? |
onegig: I don't expect you to take anything from me or word from me. It's a forum like you said. I was just trying to call you out..We all do have passions for something but we should always be objective and not let our passions cloud our decorum.did I tell him he was wrong? Now I see you are trying to defend your position by all means. You can go and read what I wrote again. and you agree that he should support his claims with facts? so what else is the issue? Find something else to say, abeg. You appear too ready to support the claim without even checking. Again, I am against people talking 'facts' that are wrong and I brought the 'alfa' into it because it happens a lot and if there is anything I want changed, it would be the misrepresentation of facts. If I were showietee, I'd see it as a challenge and not try to speak of something except that I can prove it next time. I actually wasnt sure of the emotional part and was hoping he would prove it right. I am still hoping he would. If my mention of intellectuals to you sounded off, I can't help it. especially if you don't agree that the people here are. I can at least speak for myself though. and I always speak for myself alone and is the reason my posts always reflect personal experiences and things that I know of. I also dont go about projecting on people to fill vacuums in my life. My life is good, especially without spam. I am done with this. |

Actually, I haven't read your last response. I had written a befitting reply for the previous one but couldnt post it at the time. Now, I just dont want to sound that way. Anyways, I will say these other things and hopefully u'd learn a thing or two. 1. I dont know when you joined Nairaland. But the first thing to note is not join issues with people especially when you dont know what has been brewing. It makes you appear CLUELESS. If showietee had complained, I might even apologise and that is not hard for me to do. Telling joker the khadijah part was a pry schl IRS was an attempt at bringing humour to it. Good he was mature enough to not take it as an offence. 2. You have been used, unfortunately. But now you feel good that you have made a point. Or why did u wait for someone else before making it known that you thought I was confrontational? Obviously, you thought it had nothing to do with you. Know that, it still has nothing to do with you. 3. But unknown to you, this is not about showietee. I can swear it. People who are observant enough must have noticed that I have been ignoring the handle on whose wing you are now flying. I will continue to. I don't drool and I let out of NL issues stay outside. But when someone is projecting because you decided to not give him access to you outside of Nl and because you have spammed him and everything about him for life, people should just understand that you have spoken it out, for the first time in many years. once again @ onegig, stay in your lane and dont make this personal. It has nothing to do with you. and it makes you look so... ![]() |
onegig: You started it though....ok..so I started it. Towards who? what moral ground does anyone have to do exactly what they are speaking against? we all get passionate about certain things and issue and I have shown my passion for this. You find it confrontational is no big deal to me. But what do u mean by subduing others' belief? Is saying the wrong things to prove a point something you call a belief? and when asked to prove it, it is subduing? very funny. once again, dont say ehat you cannot defend. the people here or at least I am not dumb nor illiterate to just take it in and not ask you about it or to prove it. if you dont want to be called out, dont come to a public forum. simple. |
