TravelRe: Zimbabwe Farmers In Nigeria by deor03(m): 7:05pm On Apr 10, 2008
We are shouting about joblessness and some people are shouting blue murder over thing that will create jobs. Go to the the job thread of this forum and you will appreciate that there are so many jobless, educated and knowledgeable guys. Agriculture on a large scale is a BIG business and could employs thousand of guys roaming about in VI carrying brown envelopes full of different versions of CVs.

There are hundreds of thousands of graduate of Agric science, Agric engineering, Agric business etc and there are still more hoping and praying to pass jamb to study this course. What future do you hope for them if large scale farming is not welcome.

No wonder we are still where we are. I don't know why we can't take advantage of the guys ( whatever there colour is) but just gaurd against the zimbabwe issues to crop up here.

Remember almost all the BIG guys you know that work in Nigeria, except for the bank boys, work for the WHITE man one way or the other

It's until 2face,face,9nice etc become people like seal, sade adu that we start laying claim to them that they are nigerians.

Poor ones? lol wealthy one
Nairaland wont kill me.

Can you explain how a graduate without experience was made a commissioner while he was away at NYSC camp. That alone is illegitimate, as you must have completed your youth service or possess an exemption certificate before you are even considered as a candidate for public office.

Drinks anyone?
If i can remember very well, working as a public servant without NYSC discharge or exemption letter is a serious offence.

Besides experience is needed to occupy the position of commissioner, it wrong to equate this position to a job vacancy. I am sure the CU graduates on this forum still lack this experience, that is why they are arguing like this. Note that most of the anonymous people on this forum have upward of 5-10 years real life experience.
If seun can archive this post, and our dear CU graduates can come back to read this in the year 2013, it will make more sense to them

This is another way to rip money Off the ever ignorant americans , who always make decision with their minds NOT their heads.
Nobody in Africa needs you to buy any product just for our girls to have their period.Menstrual period started since when man existed so what the noise about it now!!!
The like of Oprah,Jerry Springer, Big corprations etc will always smile to the bank at the expense of the "always gullible ignorant " Americans.
BusinessRe: Why Are Nigerians Made Scapegoat For Scams All Over The World? by deor03(m): 12:44pm On Apr 01, 2008
@ sweet T

You should know now that you need to shift your position a little bit. If you have been watching or reading about the power projects in Nigeria recentl you would have noticed the mega scam by these so called otinbo people.
They are not saints , they are far from it. They are just using the power of the media to "colonise" people like you and their ignorant children. Like someone said , when NEPA start working, Transportation problem solved, Security enhanced, You can never compare Naija to all these places. In UK you are limited, even if you are a cleaner you will never be head of cleaning department.
Their children are not going to school hence they need "you " to come and slave for them.

When did this particular guy graduate-2007
Commissioner now-2008

Wonderful! Wonderful! grin

and its not Ogun state for your info! cheesy
Can't you see the handwriting clearly on the wall.
If that guy graduated september 2007 , he should still be on his NYSC programme now!.!.! So if NOT for connection and the corruption in our system , how come he is working full time.

He is a product of corruption , or a corrupt system.
Talking of experience he has barely less than one year experience except he is a special assistent in the domestic department. grin
Afterall the driver to the speaker is a special assistant to him in the transport department too grin
CareerRe: Project Management Course / Program by deor03(m): 12:44pm On Mar 27, 2008
Studying project Management in the uni , passing PMP or APMP or PrinceII and practising Project management are 3 different things entirely. There are some principles you will learn in school that will help you in practising Project management. Professional certifications is entirely a different ball game. The fact that you passed a certification does not make you a practisioner. There are some vocabulary and ethics in the profession that you pick up with training and experience. I am into the 3 stated above and i thinks to be a good project manager it is better you are into at least 2 of the three options stated above

all the best

Pennywise:
Original poster will do well to read this again. Very honest and very selfless piece of advice. What you or your friend have with Diamond bank is a job and a carrier. Better educated guys out there (UK) will kill you for this opportunity.

If I was to draw up a hierachy for available opportunities it will be something like, British citizens, EU citizens, Asians, Africans, Nigerians. However, with the recent resurgence of Nigerians in drug trafficking not sure if we will make the list at all.
Just to correct the list, it's like British citizens, EU citizens, Asians, Africans.!.!.!.!.,.,.!.!. Ok nobody else, then Nigerians grin

Hey,
This has NOTHING to do with being IBO. With evidence against madam speaker , she refused to resign a couple of months ago.

I think we should view ourselves in Nigeria as two tribes namely: the Oppressed and the Oppressors.
Rather than Ibo , Yoruba , Efik , etc
