Arrewa: Those children were probably kidnapped by this Administration.
They would soon free them and claim victory.
The real Bokoharam has been defeated what we have now is government machineries playing script.
Most of you don't know the billions of dollars the government is generating in the war against insurgency.
From both international and our local fund.
Ask yourself why does Bokoharam only strike villages that's even once in 2 to 3 months.
Why is it that they no longer bomb or attack Borno cities as they used to do? What is now stopping them from taking over local governments?
Why the sudden stop of bokoharam attacks in Adamawa, yobe, bauchi and Gombe?? Why only villages in Borno?
Everything is now politics... North east is currently one of the richest region in Nigeria.
Nigerians don't investigate and are too lazy to critically think and ask questions.
Why is Borno state rapidly developing despite years of insurgency??
Go through this thread and see things for yourself. https://www.nairaland.com/6071980/borno-after-11-years-insurgency#93130778
The Government staged kankara kidnap.
That exact script was played in dapchi. Nigerians are just too dumb to smell lies and fallacies. At the bolded, so you knew this much and still expended all your efforts to defend this hapless government? Your wailing is just beginning. |

fammava: Am I the only one that missed the part the lad said, he wants to go to school to further his education. After killing Nigeria troops, he wants to go and accept the scholarship to study abroad given by the FG. Why families of slain soldiers are hungry and can't even afford public education. Makes me wonder what kinda soldiers we have that won't kill this one after he had gunned down their fellow soldiers. You're not the only one. That's the only part I found noticeable in the entire write up. After working with Boko Haram in producing tens of thousands of orphans and out-of-school children, he now want to continue his own education. What a twist. |

Kaduna... Not even inside the cities but villages that is unsafe.
Zamfara and kastina villages...
Then Borno villages and forest!!
Not the whole 19 northern state that is unsafe.
Cos some brainless maggots can't stop stereotyping the whole north! Please just focus on your Almajiri states. Leave Kwara and Kogi out of your "19 Northern States". It's only Nigerian warped geography that made us Northerners, so be properly guided. |

aleeyus: "Snakes are more scared of us than we are of them. They are shy creatures that spend their life away from humans. Encounters with human are just an accident. It is because we've encroached their habitats, not them. If you see a snake in your place, don't panic. Stay away from it, block all entrances to your house and back off. The snake will go away on its own without harming anyone. If you corner it and stand with sticks in hand to touch it/beat it up, the snake will inflict a bite on you trying to defend itself. Otherwise, it never will. Because venom is very precious to them for hunting. Please understand this. Live and let live." They may be shy, but do you also know that these creatures see any kind of movements around them as threats to their lives, hence the need to defend themselves by striking? Get too close to them unawares or otherwise, they won't hesitate to empty their venom into your bloodstream. These guys are born killers. Their venom is not so precious, it's readily available. For a creature so sneaky, venomous, and most often, unnoticeable by its victims, it's got to be the most dangerous animal to me. We are not friends. |

Sixfeetbelle: Depends on how dowry works in their area though. Maybe dowry as in 'introduction' to the families. Even at that, dowry isn't marriage. It's just a scheme to tie women down to one man. Besides, engagements can still end so she has every right to sue him. The essence of marriage is the dowry. That's all there is in marriage. Check your Bible or the Koran. Once he parents accept the price, they've given him their daughter. That they didn't have an elaborate ceremony won't change the fact. |

saaphiere: That is why most men won't make heaven. My annoyance is always that lie they do tell. Most men change once they get in between your legs. A man would love you wholehearted but wants he sleeps with you, he start seeing you as a burden.
I beg to differ.
She has every time to sue him. She never sued him for not marry her but for wasting her time. Time is the only unrecoverable resource in the world.
He didn't physically tied her legs but she tied her down with words. If he had open up earlier, this girl won't be with him for this long.
She did not sue him for diick. Read very well. She sued him for time wasted. Remember women are not like men. Women time is limited. There are certain things a woman cannot achieve when she gets to a particular time in her life. So for that time wasting, he deserved to be sued.
Your mom and sisters included. In her own words, "He has never been serious..." Why would a rational lady stick to a man, who she knows has never been serious about their relationship, for good 8 years? |

ehinmowo: Do you know what you saying? Do you think Nigerians have other jobs than to procreate? Between 1952 and 1960, NIgeria jumped from 30 million to 50m. And the population has being growing by an average of 3% every year ever since.
As imperfect as 2006 census was, 160m people were counted. Of which I blv the actual figure would have been around 180m then. That means by 2007, we would have been 164.8m. 2008 will be the 3% of 164.8 not the 3% of 160. By the time you do that up to 2020, you will realize that the figure will even be more than what that man gave. The scam started since the first census in 1952 or so, so don't get carried away. We've been using the same format since then. We are at least, 30% lesser than the officially declared figure. The facts are there staring at us in the face. |

sonnie10: Economic opportunities in those countries cannot be compared with that of Nigeria. Farming is the predominant occupation in NW Nigeria and the farmers have the market for their produce unlike those in the other countries. So, favorable economic factor is to precursor birthrate especially for uneducated farmers. Secondly, remember birthrate and mortality rate might be different because of favorable indices in Nigeria. Take polio vaccine acceptability for example and availability of primary health care. One more thing is immigration. People move from those countries to Nigeria, especially to the NW, while the opposite not true. From my own personal experience, the population figure in the core North is a scam. A big one at that. |

pansophist: I still cannot understand why a DNA test is not automatic at birth. You can not just pin a child to any man as the father, just because the woman said so. Things like blood group and DNA test should be verified, alongside other personal information that is recorded in a birth certificate. It will also serve as a deterrent to potential cases like this, will legitimize the unity and social cohesion of the family, and won't deny innocent kids the chances of knowing their real father.
Furthermore, it would save wives from being disappointed that their husbands didn't trust them if he carries a DNA test behind her, and also gives suspicious husband/kids no reason to carry such a test in the first place. This man is not only hurt, the kid may grow up to hate the mother, and the most ferocious hate you will ever face is one that is converted from love.
In a society that operates on the flawed idea that women can never be wrong, and incapable of cruelty, well, tragedies like these will persist. The sad truth is that as we speak, there are millions of fathers right now living with kids that aren't theirs, and most will never find out. A huge problem that can only be solved with legislation changes, which is, that a DNA test should be automatic at birth.
Inside life. In a country where many can't afford delivery fee of #5,500, your guess is as good as mine. |

Grandmeister: Do you even know what literacy means? You’re part of that abysmal level of literacy we are talking about. Check the write-up I quoted and give yourself a hard knock on the head. Literacy rate in Nigeria is higher than 60%, yet this brain dead Mumu still thinks there are more illiterates in Nigeria. Are you alright upstairs at all? If not for the backward peeps in the Core North, the figure should be 80%+ |
Politics › Re: Governor Zulum Receives Cameroonian Military Commander (Photos) by DeOTR: 5:23pm On Dec 04, 2020 |
Grandmeister: How? It simply means that those who are literate are less. When the literacy percentage of a country is <60% that means those who are illiterate are in the majority...when you remove 60 from 100 no be 40 remain? That’s basic percentage arithmetic. You're dull. So if the literacy level is less than 60% but greater than 50%, illiterates are more in number? Are you sure you completed elementary school at all? |
