GUNITGuy:
It's a good thing....
Train more software Engineers....Sign they would work there for atleast 6yrs ...
Or
Hire people to work from home as software Engineers
Most Banks require their Engineers to come to work at least, 3 times in a week. For Union Bank, it's one week on, the next off.
Why would you want to work there when you can do two remote jobs from the comfort of your home?
ProgrammingRe: Mass Resignation Of Software Engineers Disrupts Banks Digitisation Move by DeOTR: 4:52pm On Jul 25, 2022
This is why they'll want you to sign a 2-year bond before you start working with them.
They had better increase their pay or learn to do stuffs themselves.

Just do me the favor.
Are they earning more than the pitiful salary they are earn in Federal Universities?
If not, so Anambra Deputy Governor was earning less than 350k monthly in 2010?
If so, how much exactly?
I'm only interested in the Deputy Governor's salary claim.

Did you even read what one of the professors wrote, the salary was met but they need a salary structure, in the sense that even when Peter Obi leaves office it will be maintained.
Please in other facet you might find something against Peter Obi but not when it comes to education.
Obi that I know don't joke with it.
Whatever be, he solved Anambra's strike issues within 6months and it lasted uptil today, even when he left office.
I read where someone said they spent 6months at home cause if strike, the said strike was July to January in the whole of eastern state, even when others went back they still go back to strike after some period, from that time today ANSU have never been on strike, I am not asking you not to check, I am telling you to go and verify.
My sister went to unizik, she was about going to 300 level when my cousin sis gained admission in ANSU, my sister and my cousin graduated same year.
I am not asking you not to check, go and verify.
What ever made Anambra state to stay of strike can work in Nigeria.
If the above assertion wasn't right, I doubt our lecturers will agree.
I rest my case.
I am not saying Obi is a saint, I am saying he is 10timea better than all other candidates combined.
I have no business with any State Government doing their job to prevent their employees from going on strike. Am I supposed to be celebrating that? I'm from Kwara State, and as bad as successive Governors are, Kwara State University don't go on strike.
What I'm disputing here is salaries of Professors in Anambra doubling that of the Deputy Governor. I'm interested in knowing exactly how much they earn.

The country is bleeped, it shouldn't be in the hands of an 87 year old man, imagine your grandfather running for president.
The Country was bleeped by men way younger, so I don't believe old age (which is supposed to be a time in our lives we're wisest) would translate to bad performance.
True, the older generation into which the foremost aspirants fall into failed.
But cursing people that would vote for other candidates than yours is not the forward.
It's a democracy and everyone has the same rights to vote for whoever they want, as you do.
No be 2015 Nigeria start to spoil and it will take more than the right person to things around.
I'm only going to vote for someone who express his plan to restructure this mess called a country, otherwise, I'm not wasting my time.

You people, sure can't be pleased.
Dig all you can't, you will definitely keep fooling yourself
Are you by any chance believing the bolded?
How much is the Deputy Governor's salary that Anambra Lecturers are earning twice the amount?
Remember, according to the write up, they were only requesting the State government to increase their salary to 80% of what their counterpart in Federal University are earning.
The last time I checked, Professors in Federal Universities are not earning up to 700k monthly, even in 2022.

Anybody voting for either of them doesn't wish me or the country well, they know the right thing yet....so it will never be well with them.
Living a fulfilled life, at the end of the day, is not a function of how well the government performed.
I bet many people laid similar curses on whoever would vote Jonathan before 2015 election. How far now?
Except maybe, you're a career politician who is waiting to cash out if Obi wins, I don't see you him becoming the President will improve your lot if keep doing exactly what you're during Buhari administration.

It's not enough to curse those that won't vote for Obi. Your Candidates has to prove he's capable. Personally, he has not impressed me yet and I'll never vote for him if he fails to and heaven will not fall.
BusinessRe: Nigerians Got Richer As Income Per Capita Surges To $5,250 In 2021 - World Bank by DeOTR: 5:01pm On Jul 22, 2022
iLoveYouToo:
Bro. There’s improvement. I’m a practical person look around you’ll see the money. Most of those indices aren’t factual but hypothetical.

Nigerians lie a lot and cry to the heavens that they’re dying. Check their lifestyles and you’ll be shocked. Go to villages too, they’re not doing badly

Don’t get me wrong, a lot of people still live in subsistence I totally agree but the income of the average Nigerian has increased
If you'll be honest to yourself, you'll know most Nigerians are actually worse off under this government.
What's the income of an average Nigerian then and now, and what's the average increase in price of commodities?
When you say income of average Nigerian has increased, are you including the majority of Nigerian Youth doing teaching jobs, earning 20k?
Ontop of that, prices have been increasing astronomically with no equal increase in income.
We are still talking about a country where most states can't pay minimum wage.
Are you aware that pms now sell at 250 and a kg of cooking gas is now 900? I don't even want to talk about rice and other foodstuffs.
Any improvement in income per capital is an improvement in the income of the rich.

iLoveYouToo:
Watch how they’ll come here to deny and claim impoverishment
In a country where 5% controls 95% of the resources, Income Per Capital, can't be said to be a good measure of well being.
That an average score of a class is 45% doesn't mean everyone passed. Infact, in can be proven that 90% of the class scored below 40.
So when they tell you the per capital is $5k+, have it in mind that majority of Nigerians do not earn up to 50% of that amount annually (I don't want to mention our annual minimum wage which is just a little above 10% of our income per capital).

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Nigerian Abandons N24 Million A Year Job, Relocates To U.K by DeOTR: 1:57am On Jul 21, 2022
1stGenAmerican:
You’re right about that. The myth of working 2-3 jobs like a dog is just a lie people tell unless someone is in either country illegally.
Example: Amazon in the UK and US will hire just about anyone over age 18 who is in the country legally.

Here in the US, Amazon’s minimum wage is $15 per hour, even for people working from home and it’s $10-11.76 per hour in the UK.
A couple without any higher education in the US legally who are authorized to work can stay home and each work 40 hours a week for Amazon (overtime is optional and sometimes unlimited). So without working any overtime:

USA
$15/hr x 40 hours/week= $600 x 2= $1,200/ week
$1,200/week x 52 weeks/year= $62,400 annually in the household

UK
$10/hr x 40/wk= $400 x 2= $800/wk
$800/wk x 52 weeks/yr= $41,600 annually in the household

USA
Overtime = 1.5 of hourly salary
Amazon Overtime for a Minimum Wage Worker in the US is $22.50 per hour

UK
Amazon Overtime for the lowest paid worker is $15/hour
And just over $60k is big money working in the US, especially for someone earning N24M annually in Nigeria?
He dare not try live the same standard he lived in Nigeria.
I paid $1100 monthly for a shared apartment in New Smyrna Beach. Do the maths.

I know a lot of people who earn as much as $7000 monthly working a foreign job from Nigeria.

Cmanforall:
But the question should be who the labour candidate for Osun is?
Was he an acceptable candidate?
Before Nigeroans forget, some old corrupt politicians are decamping to Labout party simply because they lost their old party’s ticket, and perhaps hope to ride on Obi's acceptance to win.

Maybe Nigerians will start voting for individuals rather than parties
Next year election is going to be different. If we're talking about voting for individuals, remember non of the aspirants have ever been a sitting President, so they're all 'Black Markets ' as far as I'm concerned.
It's going to take beyond "Tinubu is old, he's sick, he's corrupt, he brought a disaster upon the country in the person Buhari and the Moslem-Moslem ticket" narrative for Tinubu not to win with wide margin in the SW.
I personally, I'm waiting to hear how PO plans to address our problems, not just telling us what the problems are.
Tinubu is still respected by many in the SW, irrespective of what APC has done to the country.
Oyetola lost because Osun had to choose between their Sons who is to govern the State for the next 4 years, and he wasn't the one.
You can consider most of the votes PDP got in this election votes for Tinubu next year if they had to choose the next President.
Nigerian electoral system has not matured to the point where people will start winning elections where they're not popular.
The Obidients have to do better and they should consider this result as the real picture of what's to come if nothing is done differently.
