@OP I do not think leadership qualities are found in a person who cow-towed to the dictates of more popular and stronger opponents to the tune of divorcing his wife who stood behind him and courageously carried on the wishes of her husband who was incarcerated. |
And Nigerians too are dying Gradually because of dying cases like hers. The only reason I hate this administration institutionalised corruption.
You are a load of insincerity if you could not fathom that corruption has been institutionalized in Nigeria since the government under Tafawa Balewa. It is safe to say you are a typical Nigerian and it sucks to be you. |
funkybaby: I still find it hard to believe that GEJ is yet to suspend her or remove her as minister. Are you mentally alright? Do you actually know the connotation of the word - corruption? |
mystical10: who arre the imo ppl, orlu zone(12 l.g a) where rochas come from made up of 60% of imo population and all orlu wil surely vote for him and wht he needed is few ppl frm okigwe(7 l.g.a) and owerri zone(8 l.g.a) to win. 4gt dt ur calc. Orlu ppl desides who rules in imo due to our populationAre you a slow learner? I do not know where you pull out such ridiculous number of 60% population, probably from your anus. Even if elections in Imo State were to be decided by simple majority, Orlu people have not decided and will not decide who becomes governor of Imo State. |
mzlewis: now listen to me u mannerless hegoat if u dnt kno helw to adress pple u had better keep that pit hole u call a mouth shut....did mandela cause a civil war eh.....can u compare both....by d way ur manners stinkIt is absolutely conspicuous you have issues with mannerism. I have no doubts a domesticated “shegoat” can understand the fact that anybody who simply wants the wellbeing of his people can not cause civil war. It is unfortunate your psychotic skull can not understand the simple fact that Ojukwu never declared war against Nigeria. In fact, your silly stream of thought smacks of animalistic idiosyncrasy. By the way, who gives a hoot about mannerism when dealing with a junk? |
mzlewis: ta!!!!!ojukwu fought foe d igbos mandela fought for d unity of his nation.....ojukwu brought abt civil war dat claimed the lives if thousands....mandela was in prison for 27yrs avoiding bloodshedI must say that this demented monkey did not know what got Mandela imprisoned. It was bloodshed that sent Mandela to prison, olodo. By the way, Ojukwu did not bring civil war rather demanded the wellbeing of his people. Gowon precipitated war on Biafra. From the previous responses to this thread, it is safe to say that most Africans are subhuman. It takes mere addition of a deluded European in their midst to validate the humanity in African. It sucks to be African indeed. If Mandela had fought for freedom among Zulu, Ndebele and Xhosa without Europeans or apartheid, all these idiotic fanfares from moronic Africans would not have happened. |
shymexx: I've been quite busy and I've posted too many comments on nl today. I guess TGIF got to me. But I'll bless this topic before I call it a day.You have been spectacular with few posts to your credit. It appears you are staying away from bottles recently. |
Eziachi: Good on him to draw the world attention to a nation called Zimbabwe in total isolation of everyone, except for the poster. When is he going to draw our attention to all the black despots scattered all over African, killing , maiming and sometimes starving their own people? The above post is an act of just towing the stream of thought established by the Europeans. If the Europeans had called Mugabe the messiah Africans had waited for long time, this type of post would not have been constructed by an African. Mugabe stood tall and focused while reiterating that Africa is for Africans period. |
@OP You can not have Mandela in any other African countries because of the absence of apartheid. If a character such as Mandela had struggled for political equality in Nigeria, nobody would have regarded him talk less mentioned his name. It must be recall that Azikiwe hid Mandela in Lagos for months before Mandela decided to go back to South Africa. It is unfortunate it takes Europeans or Europeans among Africans in order to validate the socio-politico-economic astuteness of Africans. It really sucks. |
tensor777: I think we need to be very careful here of a very common human weakness. It is called GREED. That is a cankerworm that can destroy any society.Mr. Chucks may have stumbled onto some truths. The problem of crude oil derivation engendered by the abrogation of the onshore/offshore dichotomy during the Obasanjo regime was as a result of few aberrant political moves to make sure that, at least, one state in SW is regarded as crude oil producing entity. Nigeria is a fallacy. There must be a clear rational of the onshore/offshore dichotomy. The offshore proceeds should be shared equally among the states in the federating unit because offshore activities are inside the territorial waters of Nigeria. |
superstar1: keep staying in US and be commenting on the reality on ground in Nigeria. relocate from US to onitsha and you will know wussup. you willneed a truckload of a combined forces of police, mopol, army, navy and airforce protect you. Even with that, your security is not guaranteed.I am due in Owerre in few weeks. A son of the soil such as me does not need police escorts to move rather freely in Igbo land. |
tensor777: @DedeI usually do not dabble into totally over exaggerated Awolowo’s inspired mass education program which has become a conformism rather than realism. The educational realities in Nigeria are on the ground for everybody to see. I have no intention to comment on the issue of stadium too. |
Bigots who are filled with hate atimes do not their own identities, let alone those of the people they hate. That is how evil forces work. SMH @Mr. Gull, you may be on to something in your last post.
It is a matter of your pig-headedness that stops you from seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. |
tensor777: I suggest your post is flawed because the main reason the SW has benefited apart from Lagos being the former capital is that they have had better leaders than anywhere in the SE OR SS. This has enabled them to acquire a high level of education and of course subsequently get good jobs.I have to totally disagree with you on this reckless insinuation that “SW has benefited apart from Lagos being the former capital is that they have had better leaders than anywhere in the SE OR SS”. Besides Lagos State, which has been juiced up with economic steroid by the federal government of Nigeria, SW is as good as SE or SS. |
shymexx: I'm going to be objective in this post. You may be honest in your bid to disintegrate Nigeria. However I must say you are a bit naïve as a Yoruba and the questions you raised about Yoruba’s drag of feet when issue of disintegration of Nigeria surfaces for a debate. All that glisters are not gold. A dilapidated Nigeria equals what you termed “most advantageous region” in your above post. What you called most advantageous region is a pack of cards that can collapse with a mere hiss from a toddler. I urge you not bet a cent in the fact the Yoruba land has crude oil. A disintegrated Nigeria could open a plethora of truths unimaginable to an undiscerning mind. |
Tolexander: old cargo of the pliocene. If you are a tad reasonable, I shall patiently wait to see how many Yoruba peeps that will join you in the compounded foolery of insinuating that Republic of Benin is part of western Nigeria. I know Yoruba people are legendary in arrogation of fame to themselves |
Dahomey Amazon: As much as I don't want to derail, you nonsensical English shows you are nothing but a village rat. What happened to modesty? Certain Nigerians are very boastful while ignorantly wrong on a subject matter and, at times, publicly. |
4Wilywily: If not that Coup Awolowo could have died in Calabar prison, Akintola who imprisoned Awolowo wanted him dead by all mean. You could not be more correct. |
@OP Talk is, indeed, very cheap. Awolowo labeled secessionist my foot. What an arrant nonsense. |
@OP An attempt to compare Nelson Mandela to Olusegun Obasanjo is idiocy born in hell. |
@OP Mallam Rochas Okorocha is a moronic joker if he thinks Imo State electorates look forward to electing him to a second term as a governor. This dude is really a con man willing to scam himself. |
tensor777: Yes but Government needs money to run its programs and to administer the country. The Oil provides instant returns to the Government coffers without the need for punitive levels of taxation, foreign aid or loans. Are you in any way or form insinuating that Governments do not need money to run their programs and to administer the countries in the nations where no single drop of crude oil is struck? Few Nigerians must desist from making ridiculous comments bordering on crude oil and civil war because Biafra was defeated. The prevailing socio-politico-economic conditions in today’s world are different from the conditions obtained in yesteryears when crude oil almost drove countries such as Britain crazy hence the military and political support it rendered to Nigeria. Things have changed tremendously on the political front. |
You of all people should have become weary of violence and war, afterall you escaped the ultimate price during the civil war. Instead of helping to find a peaceful way forward, you are here polluting the minds of younger generation to their detriment. Oga, go and enjoy your retirement peacefully and don't open old wounds. I have news for you - you lost the civil war!!
I kept wondering why you readily jump onto the war rhetoric when the issue of disintegration of Nigeria comes up for debate. Nothing lasts forever including humans. If you think hunger will be a problem for you and ilk when Nigeria disintegrates, you can speak up so that such unforeseen circumstance can be addressed during the SNC. Wars are meant to be fought, won or lost yet fight again. If you and your lazy arse folks want war, you shall get one in a heavy dosage. |
tensor777: There is also downright criminality and shameless theivery as exhibited by the likes of Onanefe Ibori and Dokubo Asari. If it were just about tribalism the solution would be much easier to state.Yes, tribalism is different from tribal bias or bigotry. If it is a mere tribalism, whatever is stolen by the aforementioned characters, could be recovered by their people with ease unless they choose not to return home. You must agree with me that Nigeria has become “no-man’s land” and tribal sections are willing to defend one of theirs in the context of corruptive Nigerian lifestyle. Folks from Onanefe Ibori or Dokubo Asari ethnicities would defend them in the context of Nigeria and would have dealt ruthlessly with the characters if they had stolen from thinny Urhobo Republic or Ijo Republic which has meager resources and a burden to defend its borders from aggressive neighbors willing to crush them. Necessity, they say, brings the best out of a human. |
I will commit my resources towards going 'our seperate ways' as soon as bright minds can proffer viable solutions to these issues: 1) How do we share the assets jointly owned without bloodshed. Assets like seaports, airports, investments in developing natural resources? I invite brilliant minds to list potential solutions to this problem. I have more but let's start with this. It is not enough to lazily yell separation without any framework which wouldn't lead to unnecessary violence. I humbly await reasonable contributions.
I must say that only lazy fools sat dormant while postulating over problem without solution. Also, being visionary is not seeing things the way they are but the way they should have been. If Nigerians are smart and civilized human beings, disintegration does not call for war or even wrestling matches. There must be a Republic of Igbo land as a nation state. In addition, the republic could listen to other groups if there is any need to form a confederation. As for the fixed asserts of Nigeria, Republic of Igbo land should not owe anybody because there is no federal presence within its boundaries. However, a fact finding body should be setup by the nation sates to determine how the former federal assets should be shared or retained. All the places with fixed federal assets will remit certain percentage of fund to a pool for determined period which will be shared among nation states otherwise would have been denied the access to assets as a result of disintegration. Refusal to abide by the principles reached by the body setup by the nation states could lead to diplomatic wars or even shooting wars. |
Aigbofa: Deal with Dokubo Asari in order to claim Benin Republic? Are you talking of the same Benin where he was caged like a little birdie?I am not surprised you bought into the orchestrated political shenanigans in Benin Republic which involved Dokubo Asari. Please wake from your deep slumber. |
tensor777: He is actually a liar a murderer and an armed robber who should be locked up in a cage.Instead of him to renounce his past criminality he is just talking garbage.I do not know Dokubo’s past activities on earth but he was not talking all garbage in the alleged interview. There is no doubt culture plays a major role in molding a country with solid patriotic zeal. Lack of patriotism due to tribal bias is the major political tendonitis afflicted on Nigeria. |
Tolexander: Starting a university cos of bilingual!I knew this line, “Thank God Benin Republic is also part of western Nigerian”, is a sure thing that will come from a Yoruba peep when the talk of national conference thickens. It has been Itsekiri are Yoruba and now Benin Republic is part of western region of Nigeria. I guess you have to deal with Dokubo Asari in order to claim Benin Republic. |
