See ehn, this country, just sha dey get something steady. Even if nah 10k, you will find a way. I'm just coming back from a distance I usually use 200-300 to cover on bike. That would be between 400 - 600 to and fro. I walked to the place and walked back under the sun because of cashless. |
Hendrixky:I tell you! STANBIC Bank is boss. I was just telling a colleague about how seamless they are. They even notify you when there is a delay in transaction and their reversal is immediate 99% of the time. |
pannyman:It's that receipt thing. Maybe linking the e-receipts to the email attached to the sender so it doesn't have to print. That will eliminate the need for the print spool. |
computer0810:No dey talk like mumu. Pickpockets no dey? Money no dey loss? Dem no dey rob people? You dey talk security implications ontop security layers like 16-digit random code, Expiry year verification, CVVCode and even OTP code. But you're cool with parading cash wey you no even know the batch number if e loss. Your phone NFC which you paid for when purchasing the phone. Do you know the use of NFC? But you ignorantly paid for a phone that has that feature. Make Una dey do like bush men with backward talks. That's how one idiot was posting on social media (which is a product of technological advancement) to speak against AI implementation. Do these people think at all? Your phone detects and corrects your grammatical errors when posting via AI but you're speaking against it. |
2mch:Might I remind you that he was cheated out twice by these so-called elites on a foundation of lies, but got his mandate back when the facts are put on the ground? Might I remind you that Willie Obiano and his so called spokesmen kept saying he left nothing and so on but Peter Obi produced a signed document that was not refuted until date and even Taraba State Governor confirmed that Obiano told him Peter Obi left vast amounts of money in state coffers? Might I remind you that El Rufai lied about how Peter Obi arrested him in Anambra. But same El Rufai (on video) confirmed that the order to detain him came from Abuja (who rightly control the force)? Might I remind you that a letter was recently circulated that Peter Obi was allocated some plots of land by Bayo Onanuga but he deleted the post when another letter showing Peter Obi rejected the land immediately with same belief clearly stated that governance is not for self-enrichment? Same Bayo Onanuga circulated a post he stupidly thought was defamatory to Peter Obi only to see that it was actually Northerners from different walks of life praising the impact Obi has had in their various communities across the years, at no immediate profits to him. Lie all you can, forge all you can. We all knows what stands in the end when the facts are put on the ground. No be today. Urchins must urchinate. |
2mch:Makes sense. Imagine summoning a 'State' Governor to explain the activities of 'Federal' SARS instead of the Federal Government. Same thing with asking CBN to spearhead 'Agricultural' Paddy Rice instead of Bank of Agriculture or the Ministry of Agriculture. Peter Obi is not a jagbajantis governor. MDGs that made western world what they are today is what drives him; shows his advanced level of thought process unlike you people that do things anywhere belle face. He has no time for stupid ventures. |
Naptu2 sha. See the first tweet😂 |
What is this fool saying? That I will leave my hustle and go into politics to start catering to the whims of Nigerians? 😏 |
Make Una no dey stress us abeg. Peter Obi came to the markets where people are making their honest livings to see them at no loss to their ventures. Una want people to leave their means of livelihood to come see Una after inducing hardship on the common man. Nah people wey see cash to pay driver and buy petrol dey run upandan for road. No dey stress us abeg. |
...all those irresponsible people that apparently love to suffer and want to keep this status quo... Dem plenty for here. Forget them and focus on the goal. #ObiDatti2023 |
The same thing the Nairaland version of urchins do. They lack the capacity to research and refine; vomiting what they are fed via copy and paste without due diligence. |
What was edited to put Tinubu there? 😏 |
Noted. It is February 20th, almost a month after this press release. Ask for an update. |
Nice One. Using him or his affiliates for such a sensitive role is a brazen-daredevil attempt to subvert the will of the people. |
We're unto Chat GPT now? |
samfrancis1:Nice. The audacity of this hypocrisy. |
tammie24:Hence the Psquare 'used' them, not the other way round. Of course, those artistes are not your average Joes in those days. |
Turboking:How about you run a search for Nairaland Debates on this forum and see for yourself? 😎 |
seunny4lif:So I gats research to know am? That's the point 😎 |
saintrow1:I still don't know her. |
ubanett:No mind these people 😂 |
YungMillionaire:Exactly. I don't know her either 🤝 |
YungMillionaire:Who be Janelle Monae? 😂 |
olaolulazio:No. P Square used Akon and Rock Ross more like it. You know them? Make Una just dey play.
|
Dey play. Just dey play. These governors (and APC thugs and urchins) are just making much ado over nothing. For one week now, I have not handled cash; and everyone at home is doing fine. I switched to buying (food, basic house needs, petrol, e.t.c.) from vendors who accept cashless transactions via transfer or card payment. The only difficulty for now is public transport; I've limited my movements and have a contract with a bikeman who accepts transfers to convey me to long distances. For shorter distances, unlike before, I do more walking now. It's just for 3 or 4 weeks maximum. Back to the vendors, the provision store vendors around where I live now accept transfers since they normally make transfers to their own suppliers. What amazed me more is that the women selling fresh foods e.g. fish, foodstuff, tomatoes, e.t.c., have a deal with the POS agent on the street, where you can pay with your card through the agent. The genius in it is that since no one is collecting old cash and the new one isn't really available, the agent is still busy since most people troop there to buy from them because they have a cashless arrangement. I think though that the prices of what they sell were slightly adjusted to account for the charges for the cashless transactions. In a nutshell, I think serious people are adapting and moving on. Perhaps if the cash use is reserved for key cash requirements like transporters, the pressure won't be as much. |
Godwin4444:If say you dey use your sense, you no go assume say person wey dey steady update pictures from Imo State be same person with another wey we all know from Anambra since time immemorial. |
Ireportlive:Even you backing Tinubu for President, he sees the reasons behind your choice. ![]() |
blabulu2000:Yes. Nyamiri person is the Director-General of the World Trade Organization. You, on the other hand, are just a nuisance. |
We know it's the APC miscreants arm that are behind this unrest. Everyone knows their funds are safe but they have limited access to it. The quick-acting Nigerians are switching to cashless ASAP with little worries. But you see the agberos, they have no choice. Legitimate business owners can choose to accept or reject old notes if they're not up to the stress of depositing it. But you see agberos, what choice do they have? They feed off the sweat of other transporters so it's what they are given that they can take. They're just frustrated that even the legitimate agbo and illicit gin seller is no longer accepting their old notes so they're available for hire to cause mayhem; anything to escape the withdrawal symptoms. |
Some people would spent looted funds on a penthouse suite while waiting. They may even take some time to pose for a short video riding on an exercise bike with Asake playing in the background; and spending the next 1 hour with a professional orthopaedic surgeon resetting all the bones; before spending the next 24 hours sleeping in the suite, and every other place they find a seat. 😎 |
