Butterflyle0:Solve this question, using simple BODMAS(Hope you remember/know what that is). 2/3(members of the house). Where: Membership of the house = 109 Good luck. Note:There is no mention of quorum in S.50(2)c,and it is trite law that what is not mentioned in law is excluded. 1 Like |

2odd:72+. Meaning APC needs 73 Senators,at least,to impeach Saraki. This question has already been decided by the Supreme Court, which is why you don't see any APC Senator talking publicly,at least,of impeachment. Only minions and zombies, who don't know their right from their left. |

Butterflyle0:Jellyfish, you either are ignorant or being deliberately obtuse. From what you wrote,4 can make a decision for 6 cos 4 is 2/3 of 6.Less than 4 can't,resulting in an impasse. Now,give of 2/3 of 109. Simple mathematics |

It's really been proven that in order to be a member of APC, one has to lose his brain or at the very least, lower his iq. 2/3 majority of members of a house, a clear and explicit provision,is now subjected to varying forms of twists and gymnastics. For those of you who genuinely don't know and want to learn, any question that requires a 2/3 majority of a legislature to settle, means 2/3 of the total membership of that house. They all don't have to be there, but once the required threshold is cleared, then the question is carried. These have all been cleared up by the Supreme Court, for the idiots that are here supporting illegality in the hope things will later be tied up in court. See Peter Obi v Anambra HOA, Ladoja v Oyo HOA. Nairaland really has gone to the dogs, ignoramuses everywhere, kids and adults with the iq of a jellyfish populating the space. If only there were mods up to the task........ |

Politics / Re: Does Nigeria Need A Senate? by Dhugal: 10:22am On Aug 07, 2018 |
divinelove:The Senate represents the federating units and their equality, while the HOR represents the people of the federation. As a federation, both are important and needed, but an executive presidency can be scrapped. In order to scrap any of the chambers,Nigeria must first become a unitary state officially. Even then, most unitary states have bicameral legislature, e.g France |

ashjay001:The VP is not a member of the NSC All statutory members of the NSC are listed in the constitution and the VP is excluded.Same way the President is excluded from the National Economic Council,of which the VP is the chairman. It is a good development, but if there's no provision for fingerprint identification before the voting option comes on,then the machine becomes another avenue for rigging. 1 Like |

Let's see if I got this clear. PMB cancelled Gov.Jakande's Metro rail project, that would have launched Lagos' transport infrastructure into the 20th century,as far back as 1984,forfeiting millions of naira of Lagos money in the process, then comes back in 2018 to commission an ordinary bus terminal, and we're expected to jump for joy? |

If Boko Haram isn't still around, they wouldn't be carrying out attacks now, would they?. Something really is wrong in the thinking processes of Aso Rock,I swear. As to that fallacy of 20 out of 27 LGAs being in Boko Haram's control by March,2015,how then was election held in Borno that month and Buhari scored over 440,000 votes?.They think majority Nigerians are as dull and amnesiac as they are?. |
