crackhaus:You have just validated my foremost epigrammatic paragraph on this subject under discussion. It always amuses me whenever I see people like you trying to quantify something beyond their comprehension. Citing your pick on my claim on my last post you quoted, it's obvious that you don't have the gift of high sensitivity and clairvoyance, therefore I don't expect you to agree with me that one who's a realist with the latter gifts can also be in charge of his environment. Don't argue further on what you don't know. Meanwhile, someone like me don't long for "control" over anyone/environment, only manipulators/dictators (petty people) does such. I am a diplomatic person, so I only take pride in being in charge of myself (mandatory) and environment (subjective). ... the gift of freewill remains the best gift the sole creator of the universe gave to mankind, therefore every human being should be allowed to be in charge of their lives, why if in a group/environment the most prepared/willing assumes a primus inter pare. |
Fake story! This was just an edited version of a similar story (all the characters in the story are almost the same: youth corper, friends laughing at him at the inception, became a friend with the family and been loved, one-man oil company, been offered employment and made a millionaire overnight, Port Harcourt, etc) that was posted here some months ago, where the writer claimed that he had just finished youth service but took a temporary work as a cyber cafe attendant, met and rendered photocopying services to a post-graduate pregnant woman who refused to pay him after the job (typing and printing her MSc dissertation) was done and even bullied him on top of it. ... one who later connected him to her oil dealer husband, and he developed a good personal relationship with the family and served them diligently, which in turn resulted in the man making him a millionaire overnight through employing him in his one-man oil business. etc. As far as it's not a rocket science for one to come across a stranger that can help willingly with no ulterior motives, yet I still insist that this particular story and its ilks are fake. |
crackhaus:I am a realist - no assumption - a gifted high sensitive and clairvoyant person. So, believe you me that I am always in charge of my environment... does that make me a perfect being? No. Well, at most I can only be betrayed but can never be deceived! Hahaha. |
crackhaus:I guess you read where I also stated that "of course, I only keep around those that merits my trust," well, that is reciprocal, too. Thanks. |
What the hell is wrong with dabbing? Come on, the idea of terming as "evil" whatever that doesn't seems pleasing to the parochial religious proponents should stop. Petty people and their love for chastising others. SMH! The sole universal creator that gives all and sundry the gift of freewill is not insane. Anyone that loves dabbing should continue to do so anywhere and anytime. |
Petty people and their parochial, prejudicial and judgmental attitudes! LOL. Well, in a situation like this, first thing to consider is the caliber of people one associates with; I mean to a well-to-do person, to buy 100k phone as a gift to your associate/friend (for those that likes to call any one around them as such) is a no big deal ... especially in a situation whereby the needy has in one way or the other been of immense good toward me or other people I know ... some of us places premium value on people's altruistic virtue than what they can offer materially and sexually. But an ordinary and petty person will believe that it is impossible for a friend to spend such amount on a gift to another person, this subject matter under discussion as a case study. I, for one, as a proponent and practitioner of the philosophical principle of ethical morality of altruism, such is a no big deal - of course, I only keep around those that merits my trust - so in the event that someone extends such gesture toward my woman, I won't have qualms over it, because I know that I can do same to another person/a female married associate without any ulterior motive. |
olaitoro:Since when did an act of deceit and predatory become a definition of wiseness and business ingenuity? "Too clever by half attitude" is not a good thing. Should the OP decide to reinforce in whatever possible means he can and go back there to give those evil boys a dose of their own medicine, it's also someone like you that will start shouting a chorus like "other country tribes hate Igbos." Excuse me, before you pick on me, note that I am a bona fide Igbo man. Honesty remains the best policy in business. |
Avoidance of tax is never a crime in any clime, only evasion of tax is a crime at least in a sane environment. So, carry on lady Linda! |
I still insist, FG'S removal of petroleum subsidy without a temporary palliative measure and visible long term plan to expedite holistic local refining of our daily consumption quantity need, is a poor decision. My suggestions remain: - Temporary palliative measure; provide a one-time lump sum to all up-to-date tax payers, to help them cushion hard effects of the time. This is a better alternative to increasing civil servants salaries as the NLC has demanded. The poor masses will directly or indirect feel the positive effect of this temporary measure immediately. - Long term plan (target time should be within a year), to source for funds and put all our existing refineries to optimum functionality while also encourage private investors to setup more refineries. Already, there are some private refineries under construction in the country, stabilizing the country will give them courage to up their games to start operation earlier than they anticipated - an improved infrastructure with clear economic direction will make this to materialize quickly. |
The FG should accept its aberration in the removal of petroleum subsidy without making provision of at least a temporary palliative measure for the good people of this country, to help them cushion the effect of this hard but genuine decision. I believe it should listen to the cry of the opposition-masses on this decision and do the needful, if truly it has interest of the poor people at heart. A palliative measure like a temporary one-time payment of say a lump sum to all the up-to-date tax payers would go a long way to help the general masses (don't tell me that an idea of such will cause inflation, because I know that it won't instead there will certainly be money in circulation), especially the downtrodden among us. This is achievable, I have a solution on how this can be achieved without it hurting the purse of the government too much. By the way, it ought to know that in a circumstance like this, it should assume the role of an entrepreneur - in any business transaction, it's the entrepreneur that bears the last risk. So far, it has not been altruistic in its dealings with the masses. A situation like this causes me to ask, what's the duty of the welfare arm of the government. The earlier the FG retrace its step the better. #I'm-a-bona fide-Igbo man-but-I-stand-for-an anti nepotic-indissoluble-and progressive Nigeria. |
Poor people always think that they're better off morally and intellectually than the affluent. SMH for the op. Mr., if you've a valid case against him, then either EFCC or the law court are the appropriate channels to engage him. Followership calls for obedience, and as the saying goes ''obedience is better than sacrifice hence more glorifying.'' |

A round of applause for the pope. The suggestion to parents to cure their offsprings the vice of “wanting it all now” especially, should be supported by all irrespective of ones worldview. Covetousness is a very big evil. |

OK. |
. |
Vikky014:LOL... Me I be "Vikky014" graduate! I hope you de fine ni. |
Eyekandi:OK! No problem. You know, we disagree to agree. Kindly do the needful. |
Eyekandi:Dear, I wasn't unaware about your presence here before I requested to have a private discussion with you. Well, if there's no option to reach you privately, then there will be no need for us to further conversation. |
Eyekandi:That's nice of you. By the way, let me know the best means to reach you privately. |
amtaken:Some of you always amuse me with your parochial stances. Who told you that this person you are conversing with has not been to China more than the number of times you said you did this year? Well, I maintain my position, range rover owner/producer Tata Motors has no correlation whatsoever with Changan Auto and Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC) the joint owners of Landwind. Meanwhile, I don't remember ever dialoguing with you about qualities of Chinese products. It's only a myopic person that think all China produces are substandard goods/services - there's something called buyer/owner specification - therefore the reason for any substandard product of Chinese origin one may see in a country like Nigeria. Importers/project owners and government of the receiving countries should be held responsible for the substandard products from China. |
amtaken:Your postulation is not correct. Landwind is an automobile marque owned by the Chinese automaker Jiangling Motor Holding, a joint venture between Changan Auto and Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC), it has no correlation with range rover and it's producer Tata Motors. |
@OP I have read through your main post and your replies, I made some discoveries about your person, thus the need for the following advices. - Empty your cup: The fact that you read but don't pass your exams whereas your supposed friends you assumed you are better off academically and morally scales through in their exams means that you are not really better than them formally... there must be something they know or do better than you - consider to learn something from them. - Obedience is better than sacrifice hence more glorifying. Self and continuous education is good, but for now you owe all your allegiance to your lecturers and whatever good or bad they teaches and how they expects you to learn and respond to their questions. The reason why most truest intelligent students hardly make 2.1 or first class is because our current academic structure is tailored to favor brilliant students the most - a lot of brilliant students are good in la cram la pour (no insult is intended towards brilliant students),they are not creative and lack initiatives. In summary, you are an intelligent person but not brilliant, there's nothing bad about this. Your type of person always achieve great success out of/after leaving academic environment. |
@OP, I have to assume that you and I hold diverse view/understanding about what relationship love truly is. Well, as far as I am concerned, in good character/attitudes (gratefulness, humility, intellect, wisdom, virtuousness) lies the stream of merited relationship love. Something like facial beauty, smile, body carriage, dress sense, accomplishments etc are just the added advantages. In summary, without good characters there won't be genuine love for the informed and sincere one. |

I quite disagree with the OP. The correct postulation should be, once a lady possesses "too clever by half" attitude the more likely she will remain single. As far as I am concerned, a true smart lady knows when to stoop low to conquer and when not to trade her self esteem for servitude. I doff my hat for smart ladies. |

Pidggin:Thanks for your observation. However, it seems like you and I shares contrary views of what a sustainable relationship love is in it's entirety. To me, my relationship love is earned not given, and to sustain it one must maintain and renew it almost every other day. I think this explains why one can fall in and out of love. For example, the best way to preserve the freshness of a cooked soup is by freezing it, with this method such soup can stay fresh and retain it's taste even after a week, while the alternative means of preserving a soup is through rewarming it on fire after each cut (those who lives/have lived without electricity and will understand this point clearly) which is the analog means can still preserve the same cooked soup but surely after a day or two it will lose it's freshness and taste. As far as relationship love is concerned, I don't just love someone without reasons (my own love is not blind), but I do fall in love with one when the right attributes are there. Maybe I have a skewed view of what this relationship love of a thing is all about. |
fem29:Now you are talking. But me I come wonder how person wey understand the meaning of "buy" no go fit understand what "purchase" mean too. All the same I don take your advice. Thanks. |
fem29:As you no come gree to teach me well well how I go fit use simpler words, na wetin I go come do na. I go like learn from you. Deal? |
andromida:Your opinions are worthwhile. Thanks for your efforts. |
GHoJes:Thanks once again for your valuable inputs. However, it seemed you didn't understand well my statement about "baby mama". Well, I said I believe in given my very best in anything I believe in. I have highest regard for the institution of marriage and I value women and children so much, therefore when married I will give in more than 100% effort to make it a worthwhile journey. All these facts are the reasons why I am trying so hard to be careful before saying I do. However, as much as I hold the marriage institution sacrosanct and values children so much, yet I can't afford to live in a toxic relationship, meaning that in case my companion-to-be chooses to suppress her bad traits for now just to get me commit to her and unleashes her irritating attitudes after marriage is consummated that I will not have the patience to stay put in such union. Therefore, I don't believe in the for better for worse marriage mantra. As I have stated in my foremost message, I can be very tolerant and quiet but as a human being I also have my limit and when it elapses I don't give a second chance to a situation. I am just been honest to myself. Once more, thanks. |
