There's no way that they would be burning such a large number of tires and without serious health effects on the people of the state. My guess is that they need the money to break down the tires into chunks that can be used for play fields and tracks. You can essentially use the chunks anywhere that you would use sawdust.

Better to have burnt tires than road accidents. Besides, those tires would most likely be used for road pavement.

Well they are shown regularly on NTA shinning teeth as they torch the tyres, never heard any reports about recyling them for road pavements
pavements on nigeria roads surely thats an irony!! and if they were being recylced it shouldnt cost a thing _{apart from logistics}

That machine is not out of date. It has the same essential parts: the grinding plates, the feeder vat, and the electric motor. Remake it anywhere and it would still look the same. Maybe you're looking at your kitchen blender, which is meant to chop a few pieces of pepper. The principle is the same, the motor is just smaller.
Ever thought about why power generating sets look the same everywhere?

How, why = to make it compact, less ugly, less noisy and safer, smaller can be just as effective and power,
I have seen generating set smaller(compact) than some big one with the same or even more output- generally less noisy too

why will an airbag pop up to protect someone that is consciously accelerating duh they will obstruct the drivers vision if it just deploys by itself

they are not designed to pop out when the car is speeding, i think they are design to protect the driver on impact/collision
