Tingles:
I recently read somewhere that the normal speaking voice of Nigerians is classified as noise in other countries. Our parents scream at us, we use big, soot-emitting generating sets to supply electricity with which we listen to music at the maximum volume, these churches and mosques just makes sure that they maintain the noise level we've subject ourselves to - this explains the large number mad men on our streets.
kinda explain why most airlines have problems with nigerian passengers

Christianity Etc › Re: Christian Student Disrupts Jumuat Service At UI by DisGuy: 8:14pm On Aug 16, 2010
Ibadan (UI, in particular) is gaining unfortunate notoriety for senseless evangelism. One guy there once scaled the fence and jumped right inside the lion's den at UI Zoo to convert the poor animal. He must have been told, in a vision, that the animal belonged to the wrong religion. He ended up being devoured. His carcass was forcefully rescued from the jaws of the "King of the Jungle".
the water he drank was anointed you can contact me for more information about this anointing water snm@nairaland.com

you can enter kano with it trust me cheesy

So i guess he is seeking a place on the board ?

1 member for each state?

honeric01:
I think only Odegbami is running for the presidency, the rest wants to be board members.

It's not about him being from Edo state, it's about what he's likely to bring to the table, yea yea yea he's very egoistic, but so is Siasia, Mourinho and other well known performers. i see him working well with the rest board members because this post is different from the NPL where he had no one to work with except himself, he used his personal monies often times just to drive his course.
what about Aminu and Obaseki? they are seeking membership of the board too?

Didn't you know before? the super 4 has always been a pre-season tournament for the top teams and also for them to try out new players they must have acquired.

So as it stands now, Enyimba and Kano Pillars will represent us in the CCL and Sunshine stars and Kaduna United will represent us at the confederations cup.
You dont get it, it cant exactly be called a pre-season tournament and you rarely get a chance to 'try out new players' considering the fact it is staged a week or two after the main season, it should have been hosted a week or two BEFORE the new season, if you look at other leagues, after the main season theres a break for the players/staff and everyone until like a month later when they start playing friendlies and then qualifiers or charity games in nigeria the payers don't get a break maybe the lower teams

When does the league start and who and who changed team?
Sports › Re: Nigerian League Fan Thread: Enter D Place N Know Every by DisGuy: 12:00am On Aug 16, 2010
Enyimba, who won the cup last year as well as in 2005, had already captured the league as well as the pre-season tournament, the Super Four.
so Super four is a pre-season event, when they played it just a week or two after the league ended, probably menat post-season tournament

I think CAF should reset the number of team qualifying for the champions league to four and 3 confederation teams

Very interesting link Tpiah posted

for some reason the budget cut did not affect 'lagoon state'

As a result, road projects in areas such as Egbe-Idimu, Ikotun-Igando, Ejigbo, Isolo and Amuwo-Odofin Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) have been affected. Also affected are projects in Isolo-Isheri-Osun-Ijegun Road, Association Avenue Road, Shasha-Orisunbare-Ejigbo Road, Yekini-Lawal Road, Ikotun-Isheri Road, Ipaja-Ayobo Road and Iyana-Ipaja-Isheri Road.
seems all those bonds are for projects in the 'new Lagos state' huh

Not undermining what Fashola has done(atleast with d accolades he receives),I still haven't seen what Fashola has done in Lagos state.I haven't felt d impact.I only c it on T.V,newspapers or when I go 2 d Island. But as 4 d mainland, absolutely nothing.I went thru Berger,Ogba,Ikeja,Iyana-Ipaja,Egbeda,Ikotun,I did not pass thru any single motorable road undecided
go and meet the governor of that state, aint you heard there is Lagos state and there's lagoon state grin
I also heard some areas have been marked PDP areas so they dont get nothing but loads of proposal and paper planning wink

This is very good news indeed. Where are all those people talking about presidential jets that were in the budget anyway? I guess this sort of topic wouldn't interest them.
actually that's the problem, just because its in the budget don't mean he should go ahead like Johnny just come

this policy of releasing grains especially after the rains or during ramadan, is nothing different, its not A NEW DIRECTION, he is just doing what has been done

Your man is not doing anything new, he is not reviewing any policy, he is not stepping on any toes,he is making everyone comfortable, he is just waking up and sleeping really, cos everything is already in the budget, everything has been done before!

what happened to his assessment of the wasteful agricultural/water projects under Ruma?
Also there is nothing wrong with the Presidential planes being bought

if they have been budgeted for in this yrs appropriation bill, what exactly is the big deal?

Or do u prefer them to budget for planes and then not buy it and the money dis-appears?

Finally the planes are a national asset. . .it will be there for the next president to use. . . cool
The big deal is that it can be cancelled, if you plan to upgrade your car next year, you dont have to!

If jonathan is as clean as we shout then we dont have to worry about the money disappearing, afterall
monies not spent go back into the federation account under his dead oga, or does he want to cancel that practise now?

the 5-8 previous planes are not presidential assets?
The presidential fleet currently boasts of eight aircraft - including three jets. It consists of a 70-tonne Boeing business jet bought in 2006 by former President Olusegun Obasanjo. In addition, there are the Gulfstream V, and Gulfstream IVSP, and two Falcon 900s. 234Next
every year or after every election the national assembly budget huge sums for cars almost as if they previous cars
are coffin-on-wheels- why them no fit collect car from previous senators to be re-used?

Never been outside the shore of my country NIGERIA but i love it here the major problem i(personal opinion) see in this issue is the pranks this is the 21st Century you can't come and deceive ppl and fink no one i meant nobody dare comfront you abou i. If you promise someone a pay of $5000 i think the contract should remain, not tricking ppl into your country and enslaving them.
I've got families in europe and whenever they call home they still talk about african doing dirty, unheard sort of work in EUROPE but they willingly agreed to that and are paid by their employer there are still people doing absurd things but at their leisure for an agreed fee, not anymore we should discourage this and not applaud nitwitiness. African were enslaved thoughly but should that blind our sense of reasoning.

silly ARABIANS, HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

Rolls out.
Unfortunately Dubai use agencies o recruit workers for outside their country- it is the agencies-often owned by Asians- that exploit people
British and American workers get better pay due to the nature of their work and agency that have pretty much standards that are equal to that of their country of origin
