hisblud: partially tho, my question again is who handles the wiring, the polling, the transformers in the locality... will it be handled by the generating coys? since its only meter and billing the service providers will be handling? ...and furthermore, how can i change to another servicing provider if am not satisfied with thier services and costs just like changing from MTN to Glo for instance?all houses are wired and metered already, you just move in then call up any company you want to supply your electricity- or change from the provider that was installed by the developers. you can 'port' as you want |
update when is the next one- regular service starting? |
Vuproff: Hiw do we participate then....?good questions but then again 'we' are inconsequential it's not even on their website http://www.itu.int/en/events/Pages/Calendar-Events.aspx |
so how did it go? please tell us if the steps on their website corresponde with your experience when you eventually get it done |
dont they have computers? what happened to all that budget for IT? |
compulsory MOT would be a good idea, I wonder why VIO, FRSC are not calling for this- instead they are interested in charging obscene amount for registration- how does car registration improve safety of the road Last year in Abuja, I notice some many cars moving almost'sideways' |
well done people.. good start |
Thanks What sort of issues? Before upgrading to a '12 Ford Galaxy Ghia last year, my manager used his Vauxall Zafira for 6 years and apart from the normal maintenance he said he didn't really notice anything out of the ordinary-and he covers a lot of distance apart from inner weekday city driving and reviews ive read online are mostly reliable, cheap to run and service-so considering it will be an occasional family car and within that budget -looks like its good enough--but then again these are European review still looking for Nigerian experience though Also considering the Voyager- just hoping it doesn't drink as much fuel as a tanker! |
Finally!!! OAU you can tell Nigerian university are sooo not represented on-line picture wise-- Clean enough ![]() |
there's the belief if you go to club or party, your grades will suffer--- i don't know what clubbing is like in nigeria but in the UK its pretty straight forward its not some complicated travel or task where you struggle ot arrange transport, security etc I'd rather say if you're busy chasing 20hr work or extra shift to make more money you're grade suffer more from that than clubbing occassionally -just dont go empty the beer barrell |
solomon111: Gej has only been there for 3 years and he is suddenly the one holding Nigeria back despite decades of gross-misrule in all strata of govt.come on GEJ sychopnats you MUST take the smooth with the rough! if you claim the success of 'everything' happening in 3 years you must also take the failures cosidering some policies started way before him |
lordnammy: This is ought to be be front page things mod don't be like our politIcian strangest: Funny enough, the MODs killed this thread just like the FG killed Izuogu's z600... How come this story never made it to front page? Disheartening...There are about 30-80 threads an hour, every one is clamouring for Front page- not possible! this topic has been discussed severally and previous discussion made the front page- that didnt revive the car did it? |
Webber and Button should be racing at the heritage Masters Grand Prix- they are well past it |

dannywest01: Hello All, Please i need a favor from you all... My brother applied for Irish visa to attend a conference on the 31st of this month, the application has been made since july28 and the result came in today which is exactly a month after application.. They asked him to appeal the decision. I want to know if it is necessary since the conference itself is billed to start in the next 4 days.. Or can he just appeal and will the visa be issued afterwards considering the fact that the conference would have been concluded by the time the appeal result will be out. I need your inputs please..they asked him to appeal? who asked him to appeal, what decision? well the conference is here already, except theres another scheduled in the coming months.. |
Chiichii2010: Plz,house is bucks new university wycombe a good school,i want 2 do top up degree in nursing secondly re there blacks in dat part of london n is it possible to get a part time job thereit's not in london whats your previous course in? |

aeu1: OP, why not buy Picnic and have rest for your soul. I've seen Picnic being offered for sale here on NL for your budget, car market is buyers market. Picnic has 6 and 7 seats specs. Post your demand in Autos section and receive offers. All your adumbrating on Mazda MPV n Odessey is really uncalled for, be nice to accept that best lies not in appearance but hassles free experience in what'll be your choicein Nigeria, car market is also mechanics market ![]() if naija mechanic dont know how to fix it, then its not a good car ![]() |
kaka22: Well, I have read through all your posts from the beginning to the end... I have to first commend all of you for sharing your experiences... I am presently in final year in one of the best universities in Nigeria. Presently I am in second class upper division(4.18 on a 5.0 scale) and I have the hope that I will graduate with atleast 4.0 by God's grace... I will be through with my studies before the year runs out by God's grace... I intend to further my studies in uk on scholarship... I've searched and scanned the websites of different universities in uk. I discovered that university of exeter offers masters in public administration on scholarship... My questions are1, No one here can tell you if you stand a chance or not- you hsould read their criteria and apply- applications for scholarship close earlier than normal and as funds for scholarship change from year to year its advisable to apply early! 2, University of Exeter is well rated for its research-very good ratings- social life- the usual 3, You can work anywhere as long as you have the right to work and are accepted- very competitive |
search the specific universities you are interested in, search the course and read through their entry requirement or call the school directly, they will be able to assess your application |
Ace Ventura: My Honda Pilot 2003 is approximately 190,000km & I never enjoyed the car due to bad roads in my area but all the same, it's a good car with plenty of power under the hood.hmmm |
JaaizTech: Got an entry from a friend's car Honda Civic 1993, original engine and transmission still present, services car every month. MILEAGE: 339541km or 203724.6mileswhen you say service every month--- what is service in the Nigerian context? oil service, interim service or full service every month? |
that's it? no pics? no activities no state visits? |
codebrew85: Please, ten views no response?you should check their school website- almost all information needed by prospective students of every course is written on there |
undergrate level or post graduate I doubt any university will give you admission for a post graduate course in Engineering with that background It might be possible to gain admissions into an engineering course- depending on your secondary school result |
thanks for the updates |
Nope never been on the train, I just saw the pictures online and they looked quiet an experience but then again with trains in africa arent up to speed (except in south africa) and customer service is not the best

What you need to Know-- times Costs Taxis are cheap (around $15 for half an hour) and matatus are even cheaper, but if you will be moving around a lot, think about hiring a car for a day (around $70). Taxis from the airport to town are roughly $20. Not all of Nairobi's taxis are metered, so be sure to fix the price in advance to save arguing when you arrive. Safety Use the hotel safe, don't carry more money than you need for the day and don't do anything confidential, like banking, from an Internet café. Don't buy tours or souvenirs from touts, don't trust friendly strangers who approach you in the street with hard-luck tales (like escaping Sudan as a refugee) and don't walk after dark. Tips Gratuities are welcome and usually around 10%, but are mostly only expected by porters and in restaurants catering to predominantly foreign clientele. Health Fortunately, Nairobi is all but malaria-free, but Kenya's coastal regions and the interior around Lake Victoria are not. Be sure to take proper precautions. Airport Leave plenty of time to negotiate Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where a security check at the entrance means you can queue for an hour just to get in, and the world's slowest officials mean you can lose another hour at passport control. Visas for most nationalities are available on arrival for $25. Traffic Do all you can to avoid rush hour, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., when most of Nairobi's main roads are gridlocked. 1). Do u think that I stand a chance for the scholarship since there are competitions for that slot all over? (2). How is university of exeter in terms of their rating in uk, social life, etc?. (3). Can I work in government establishment in uk after my studies in uk?
