pDude: They are all dumbheads. Yes.

Their practices are crude and archaic. They have no business ethics. And also they have not been able to lift the nation out of its financial abyss.

So yes, they are dumbheads. Thieving dumbheads.

Nigerians are not curious enough and even if they are; they get shot down-

most parents/teachers/lecturers don't like any rugrat thinking outside the box! you get 'konk' on ya head for asking too many questions...god save you if you try to have a debate with your lecturer in class!or use the computer for something else- you go pay for damages!

think about it, left handed kids get beaten... apparently its not normal

viloko: Prince Mustapha Oniru Of Lagos Marries Kristy Crooks (photos)

Yesterday (Thursday) was a special day for Prince Mustapha Oniru of Lagos and his bride, Kirsty Crooks from Northern Ireland.
The couple tied the knot at a royal wedding in Loughgall Presbyterian Church, Northern Ireland – the Prince’s father HRM Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru and Queen Olori Arike Oniru attended the service which was conducted by Rev Philip McKelvey.
The royal couple are due to travel to Monaco and then St Tropez for their honeymoon, but plan to set up a base in Northern Ireland.
Kirsty met Mustapha while teaching at the British International School, which is owned by Oba Oniru. Meanwhile, her husband, who just finished a Masters Degree in Marketing, is the school administrator.
Congrats to them!

Science/TechnologyRe: Nigeria Uses Its Satellites To Collect Data From Earth Orbit by DisGuy: 3:53pm On Aug 12, 2013
which satellite helped us monitor our own flooding last year?

In 2005 NigeriaSat-1 was the first satellite to send back pictures of the east coast of the US following Hurricane Katrina, says Nice. And the orbiter contributed images to aid workers following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Nigeria provides disaster-related imagery for free, but the country generates income from the satellites by selling other image data.

The lawyer was said to have been arrested and detained as a result of intelligence report that he was aiding terrorism and had always appeared for the insurgents in court
doesnt make sense one bit! so all those bokos in abuja court should have their lawyers arrested too

WHOSE court? that means the judge should also be arrested!
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by DisGuy(mod): 11:04am On Aug 09, 2013
Vicjustice: I don't think there is any amount of documents or details that would be accepted as valid explanation for such "lump sum contribution money".
It is important to remember that these people do not have the mentality of Africans, therefore, in their perspectives, (though it is not illegal,) but it is not legitimate either to do such unlicensed money contribution in Europe (especially in this terror era).
So, telling a visa officer that the obvious money lodgement was from unlicensed money contributions will not help at all
Cheers Vic
TravelRe: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by DisGuy(mod): 1:58pm On Aug 08, 2013
London being the capital is the most ethnically diverse city in the UK-[also one of the most in the world]
compared to any other city it has a higher population of black people

its recommended that you have £800 as minimum but many people get by on £500 or even less

central london is a commercial/prime area, the further you go the cheaper the rent- they'll be student accommodation in cnetral but they are rare and expensive

auntytee: I intend to commence my masters programme in january. Please can any give any accurate details on University of westminster?... From what I have bn reading on this thread, I understand that living in london as a student is a bit or rather more expensive than the other cities. But this seem to be one of the few schools willing to offer a place for my course in january.

*I'll like to know the average cost of renting an apartment in central london, close to the school precisely.
*is there a high population of black race? (Its my first time)
*wht will it cost on living expenses?.. (I'm not so much of a "spendaholic".

Any piece of information will be highly appreciated.
population of black race doing your course? in the uni or the city?

the cost of renting apartment in central london is higher than average, there are good transport links to central london so you can always looking further- also depends on your campus location

other information are readily available on the school website and other university website to be honest- all average cost ofcourse

information for all uk student are applicable to those studying in london too

nubia doll: So how soon should I re apply?
considering you are going for a specific reason/date, you should apply as soon as you can IMO, explaining your full financial circumstances and cash inflow since that's what was only thing mentioned for refusal-hopefully they dont take it as lodgement- your contribution is not traceable from your account- except you guys have some sort of contract, you can use as evidence

@ Justwise,Vic, Londoncool et al-- can you help?

TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by DisGuy(mod): 5:11pm On Aug 07, 2013
Theres no fixed amount, just bouyant enough and clear pattern of inflow and outflow- sudden deposits few days to application, would obviously raise an eyebrow especially as you didnt bother explaining it

try doing your contributions online- make everyone transfer money online instead of cash

naijababe: ^ All of it, I mean do they really get all these benefits as opposed to it being written on a piece of paper somewhere?
Well, theY surely cant get lower thAN civil servant minimum wage, just read somewhere new constable start on 28k-40-graduates 70-100k, for accommodation they have [dirty] barracks all over the place cant state categorically if this applies to all of them but i doubt these guys live with civilians; insurance they have life and personal accident insurance by FG/private nominated companies, these benefits are under their own management mostly- so if anything they are cheating themselves

they use the same guns as the police because that where majority of their weapon come from though some have sophisticated guns
PoliticsRe: why Does The Nigerian Police Use The Ak-47 Assault Rifle As Its Primary Weapon? by DisGuy: 4:05pm On Aug 07, 2013
good question really

I think they should be divided,

so some carry no weapon at all, just baton, mace and whistle

Some pistol

specialist team for more advance weapon
