TV/MoviesRe: Who Can Play Fela Better: Chiwetel Ejiofor Or Dede Mabiaku? by DisGuy: 12:54pm On Sep 21, 2013
Nigerian actor Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave, Half of a Yellow Sun, Dirty Pretty Things, Serenity, Inside Man, American Gangster, Talk to Me, Children of Men)
then

Nigeria actor like Dede Mabiaku, who even acts Fela better than Femi Kuti and Seun, the sons of the enigmatic and iconic musician.
you didn't list the films he's been involved in.....

you are underestimating someones professionalism, actors from different parts of the world play russian mafia, Southside american gangsters, British cockney thugs etc etc

The film will be made not in the typical Nigerian time frame of 2weeks-2months so theres plenty of time to learn and speak pidgin

SportsRe: Nigerian Footballers Playing In England Is Dwindling by DisGuy: 8:50pm On Sep 20, 2013
komekn: Syenite, waiting in the wings in the academy at Liverpool is Oluwaseyi "Seyi" Ojo bought for £1.8 million a year ago from MK Dons.

Academy players are just too many to mention all looking to be future stars for instance Uche Ikpeazu highest goal scores in the history of the U18 league now at Watford fc.

Players of Nigerian origin in the EPL really just too many to mention, Agbonlahor, Carlton Cole, Sammy Ameobi, Barkley at Everton etc , etc,
Why haven't they called up this dude for the junior eagles, later they will be cursing them if they refuse to play for the senior team later into their career

28 goals in 28games shocked shocked
Some the current junior players dont have stats to justify their inclusion in the team

The most annoying this is - they spend so much on the rehabilition, one would think they can make an effort with the coaches

I mean people wouldnt mind if it take 3 days to get to lagos but atleast they will be comfortable
and i still dont understand why in 2013 they will allow those pit latrine

BusinessRe: Staff In Nairalander's UBA Account-Issue Sacked! by DisGuy: 4:08pm On Sep 16, 2013
Most of the time the Management don’t know what is happening at the branch level considering the size of an organization like UBA and some staff just act as they please even though the management frowns on issues like this especially when the Management is making strong efforts to reposition the Bank as a quality service provider .

they have mangement in each branch and region, not everything should get to the HQ before something is done

HealthRe: Beware Of These Banned Food Products by DisGuy: 11:29am On Sep 14, 2013
speedyboi: Ignorance kills. Its a pity that when Nigerian Organizations are regulating things Nigerians are so carried away with 'Corruption anthem that they Neglect them or fail to listen. To them 'only International Organizations know what's right' and when the international Organizations makes their own regulations, they blame Nigerian Organizations for not doing the same (which they have done several times).

Even if I don't know any, I know Bromate is banned in Nigeria and I'm aware of the manner Nafdac shouted it and warned the citizens against them. They still raid open markets infact...but guess what? Greedy Nigerians will never obey any rules (even if its for their own good!).

Make una dey kill una selves with banned products.....Na una sabi.
The blame should be on manufacturer not consumers!! Nafdac should be prosecuting the bakeries....

SportsRe: Why Do Nigerian Players Born Abroad Refuse To Represent Nigeria? by DisGuy: 5:54pm On Sep 13, 2013
ALL IN ALL there can only be 11 players on the pitch, why this so much hassle...there are millions begging to be called up in nigeria
SportsRe: Why Do Nigerian Players Born Abroad Refuse To Represent Nigeria? by DisGuy: 5:32pm On Sep 13, 2013
Stormborn: Nobody should blame the NFF or NIGERIA for not allowing those so called player to play for the super eagles. Most of those players that refused to play for the super eagles, and instead opted to play for other countries will tell u that nigeria did this or did that when none of them have been to the country before. If u want to know a player who is patriotic then u call Victor Moses whose parent's died in nigeria during a religous crisis in kaduna and he was smuggled out of the country by his parents friends but when the chance came to represent england he turned them down and waited for nigeria, and look at the so called players that refused nigeria and u will see that they are not valued by the countries they chose to represent, they are used for friendlies but when it comes to real competitions they are not even considered. Now tell me who is more fullish. As for alaba, i want u guy s to know that australia will never be better than nigeria in football terms and someone should ask agbolanhor when was the last time he played for england, they are all bunch of fullish and confused people. And for those who say they are afriad nigeria will kill their dreams, i just want to tell u that your dreams are already dead if u refuse to work hard towards it. Those who made it in nigeria don't have two heads Thanks.
WITH people like you , who needs enemies...
SportsRe: Why Do Nigerian Players Born Abroad Refuse To Represent Nigeria? by DisGuy: 4:16pm On Sep 13, 2013
few examples of the players that turned down what should have been a Great Priviledge to Represent their Country of Birth ie the Fatherland.
country of birth?

some of them have not been approach- we only hear they are eleigible to play for Nigeria,

secondly some have a progression poathway- Barkley played U-16, U-17, U-19, U-21 for England, there was no mention of him by the NFF until he's being mention for the full national team

- Culture, NFF/Coach want players they can control- they want people they can point out as 'Na me make am star ooo' they like to have their boy boy hence wont tolerate anyone who's not been recommended by oga from the block

- Choice! some people dont actually want to play for their country- they are comfortable without the hassle!!
