BlueRayDick:I'd be specific. The Akwa Ibom State Government paid Mercy Chinwo #15 million plus flight tickets for her band and accommodation at a 4-Star Hotel for less than a 7-minute performance at the Akwa Ibom Christmas Carol last December. Mercy Chinwo charges between #7 million to #10 million for her performances (20 minutes at most). Her former church in Akwa Ibom pays her this much. She performs regularly at Salvation Ministries programmes in Port Harcourt. Ibiyieomie pays her in millions. Any dedicated and talented chorister who doesn't get paid for it is a fôôl. He'd keep tricking them by telling them he's giving them the platform and exposure to grow. Heck! They'd be too enamoured by him to ask for what's their due. ----+---- One of the ladies I got very acquainted with at the church I mentioned finished her master's programme to go serve the Papa. She literally worshipped him and was even assisting in the serving food and kitchen duties in the man's home with his wife as I saw a few times. And she's from a very rich home. Somehow she was able to break-free and doing well with an international travel agency in Lagos as she told me when we reconnected two months ago. It's almost like hypnosis. |
Ballzproblem2:The only reason a pastor would insist you offer professional services for free is because of familiarity. Same pastors hire Christians to come setup things and offer their services yet pay them. I learnt this firsthand. Years ago, a certain renowned pastor would hire my friend and I to come handle/head his church's media. We got the gig through my friend who's a producer at a radio station then where they had become acquainted. Every weekend (Saturday afternoon to Sunday evening), we'd come in with everything taken care of - transportation, food, lodging, e.t.c, and still get paid. Of course, we'd go through the motions of after-service, getting further acquainted with him and to discuss about media strategy. Months later, he wanted a church website. I gave him the quote, and he questioned why I was asking for money for it. "This is the work of God", he said. "Adding God's work to your résumé is a blessing", he added. I saw the signs and bolted. We'd become too familiar and technically I was attending his church so why pay me more for extra services when he was successfully blackmailing others not to charge anything? After months of evading him and the familiarity had waned a little, he called me to pay. ----- Mercy Chinwo was doing free ministrations at the church she worshiped when she was in Akwa Ibom. Immediately she distanced herself and developed while at it, the same church pays her millions to perform when she gets invited, the last time I heard. Freke Umoh too. The only reason a pastor would dare say such to you is because of familiarity. You reverence him. Genuflect before him. Worship him even. Call him "Papa", and worship in his church. Offer same service to other churches and you'd be paid. Pastors, like politicians, are opportunists and Machiavellians. They understand the Art of Psychological Warfare than most people, and use it deviously to their advantage. They are the two types of men of substance/influence I am most on guard around. Slip and you'd be exploited to death. |
Slytiger:When I did the regular 9 to 5, an influential man I once worked with one month tried to undercut me by questioning my workrate for that month. This is someone who praises me in the media, to other employees, friends and associates alike as his right-hand man with incredible work-rate. Coincidentally, I had planned months ahead to leave paid employment that same month. When he said so in his car - it was a convoy but I rode with him always, I let him finish. I wasn't going to talk back to him with the driver present. We got to our destination then I asked everyone to give us privacy. I laid it out to him, telling him with evidence my crazy work rate and how I was doing even more than the scope of my job description. Few days later, I tendered my registration. He was shocked and asked to increase the pay. I told him I wanted to take on an advanced tech course so needed the time away so he grudgingly let me go. He eventually paid as I didn't ask. Probably he was worried I would go to the media. He paid same day. In a year, I had started my tech agency and he kept connecting. Guess what? He's one of the clients I signed. From boss to client. And he pays what I ask for my services regularly. He still trusts me more than his own kids with some details, and I still handle the most sensitive documents and information for him. Few days ago, I did a government pitch deck for his company, and that's with a lot of "please" as I was busy. Sometimes you have to dare these people. They know what they are doing. Remove the hold they have on you and only then would you truly enjoy the relationship. Your senator who doles out millions as gifts probably never gifts his aides #50,000 as bonuses. Just regular salaries. |
I've had very influential men ask me to become their employee and I turned them down.. I've had men who walk the corridors of power literally beg that I join their workforce but I turned them down. I only do contracts for them. Or freelance. No employment. These dubious folks are Machiavellians who treat employees badly. Once they know you are very skilled in many areas, they want you on their staff so they can milk you dry. Contract only. Whether you are a senator or HOR member, contract only. That way I get my exact bargain financially without suffering the indignity which most of them put their staff through. I've seen celebrated media aides go through shit. I've seen aides of powerful men worth billions take paltry loans to keep up appearances. Imagine being famous and the pressure to maintain the front due to working for an uber rich man. Can't be me. Let my #600,000 be exactly it. Let my #2.5 million be exactly that. Let my #1 be exactly it. Just two people doing business, not subordinates and overlords. That way you can't disrespect me. I don't need that. I've insisted on this for years and some call me proud. Whatever. |
OasisX:Nothing would happen to him for this. They have a criminal court injunction. Most Nigerian Governors (past and serving) might as well be probed. Ortom to begin with. #31 billion security vote yearly for 8 years yet Ekiti which got less than 1/10 of that amount is more secure than Benue. |
UyaiIncomparabl:It confirms it then. Just the outward appearance. Women who are quick to say this are boring between the sheets. "Turn", " Stay that way", "Hold on let me..." No spontaneity. The relatively quiet and conservative ones are the real bedroom freaks I like. Just whet one's sexual appetite only to find out the supposed tigress is a lamb you have to lead on for the highest mutual pleasure beneath drawn curtains and dimmed lights. |
Unlimited22:You conveniently avoided the successes of indigenous coaches like Stephen Keshi and the Senegalese coach. |
sageb:Nah... Our digital paths cross regularly on other platforms. She knows I don't mean any harm. It's just, it makes sense now given her motto of being wild and "enjoying life" and being an "oriaku" which is the name women who want to be spent on by men in the guise of relationships take on while they gift men nothing tangible in return. I'm probably more sexually active than she is - maybe, so it's not a judge of her sexual encounters. But all those tattoos, body piercings, wild dressing, wild hairstyles... Not for introspective people who understand the place of looking how you want to be addressed. And most men avoid such females for anything committed. Even less go on to settle with such. It all makes sense now. She knows I can say this and have said this on other platforms with my pictures and personal information on my profile. |
The Cape Verde team is what the Super Eagles think they are. |
UyaiIncomparabl:What the...? It all makes sense now. |
DissTroy:You know what? Screw it! I was going to focus this exegesis on Reno Omokri primarily, but since there's a defender of the scheming Aisha Yesufu, well, let's step into the light. -++++ Aisha Yesufu postured and maneuvered her way into being in charge of funds to mobilise Labour Party polling agents. Here she is declaring and assuring them they'd be paid: https://twitter.com/AishaYesufu/status/1629131200815063042?lang=en . On election day and in the aftermath, the news was flooded with complaints by LP polling agents complaining about not being mobilised and some in the core North even abandoning their duty posts partly due to this and inducements from other parties. Have we ever done accountability for how much was budgeted and how much was disbursed? No! You want recounts from top-ranking Peter Obi mobilisers who I have been in contact with? Yet we troll Feminist Coalition for evading the accountability searchlight. Don't get me started. DissTróy never makes claims he doesn't have evidence for. 1 plus 1 would equal 2 always. This isn't about emotionality. Logic and critical analyses trump emotionality always. ![]()
|
Theflint1:I'm not here to prove anything to you. I'm here to state the facts without any deviation to whataboutism or emotionality. I never do either. I was calling the Black Lives Matter campaign a scam before the leaders were eventually exposed as such. My Nairaland posts are my proofs. I was already stating the Kwankwaso, Peter Obi, Pat Utomi connection long before it happened right here on this thread. Reno Omokri has pictures on his website of him preaching in a church he supposedly pastors. Mind of Christ Christian Center. How do I know so much? I can't reveal without giving away too much. Just like the shop picture Aisha Yesufu posted. It's a front. - Reno Omokri had donations given to the Free Leah Sharibu campaign which he never accounted for. - Aisha Yesufu and her colleagues had millions donated to the Bring Back Our Girls Movement from around the world which she never accounted for. - Donations were made to release EndSARS victims in police custody e.t.c. No account till date. Two of a kind. There was a debacle about her being in the midst of Labour Party agent mobilization fees. It died down as with any Nigerian scandal. Don't get personal. This isn't about emotions. If Reno Omokri had been supporting Peter Obi like Aisha Yesufu is today, you'd be defending him even as I call him out. |
DissTroy:Some of us saw these supposed activists for what they were years before they manifested. I knew their endgame and knew where all of the pro-masses posturing was leading to.
|
Theflint1:LOL. Even you do not believe this as you typed it. Reno Omokri is a pastor and lawyer too. It's on his website. Aisha Yesufu has been cashing in on activism since 2012. That's what she does. From Bring Back Our Girls to other smaller ones to her colleagues being appointed and her rejected, then on to social commentary, and seeing the opportunity of EndSARS which she jumped on to make herself the face of a youth-led quasi-revolution. That was how she was able to turn her fortunes around on Twitter - posture to the mass of youths. Soon she identified with Peter Obi for the optics and soon she was rolling with presidential candidates and positioning herself for the appointments she missed after Bring Back Our Girls in Buhari's government. The gamble didn't pay off, else she'd have been justling for ministerial position if Peter Obi had been elected. Notice how she's not as vocal as she used to be? Alrighr. I can share a screenshot of me conversing with someone in October 2020, telling her Aisha Yesufu, Davido, and Rinu were posturing during the EndSARS around that period for the optics. Long before Peter Obi declared his intention. I was proven right. |
BlueRayDick:As I have always reiterated on this thread and other platforms, any social media or traditional media activist who doesn't have a defined source of living outside of the supposed activism is a crook waiting to manifest. Reno Omokri, Aisha Yesufu, Deji Adeyanju, SavvyRinu, e.t.c. Aisha is feeding off the Peter Obi association now. Once it ends, she'd port to another platform. She's milked her EndSARS moment enough but it's no longer paying. Reno milked his with the Buhari opposition but the effect has waned with the gamble he took during the electioneering season. He can no longer get donations from opposition politicians. |
A001:Nobody attacked you, you paranoid piece of shit. You are the one who gave an unsolicited advice to someone celebrating his win with this community that folks would tamper with his screenshot to unmask him. And do what exaxtly? Steal the contract from him or wreck his chances? To what end? Nobody asked you about your anonymity or details. People are busy living their lives and this corner of the internet is just one small part of their virtual human experience. Whether you take extra steps to protect your suppose anonymity or reveal yourself in bits wouldn't change the course of the lives of those who frequent this place. Nobody is out to get you, as long as you don't viciously trigger and cruelly step on toes, the banter and vitriolic exchanges regardless. I know this. Others know this. But you are a megalomaniac schizophrenic nutcase who thinks he's anything more than a sand grain on a beach. You are just A001 - the butt of most jokes on this board. Get over yourself, you prîck! |
A001:A comfortable illusion. You've shared where you schooled. Shared your location. Shared what makes you tick. Shared certain peculiarities like dislike for Abrahamic religions, being agnostic, promotion of indigenous religions and beliefs, passion for unraveling the science and techniques which go into certain phenomena... A few anecdotes and other specifics like off-Nairaland interactions, including screenshots, visited places e.t.c. here and there spread over years of interaction in free-flowing friendly back-and-forths. Yet you still think you are completely anonymous as you'd like to be? LOL. Alright. I'd leave it at that. |
OasisX:I was about to mention this part before seeing this post. Akwa Ibom, particularly in the areas of housing, agriculture, physical planning... Anything tech for now seems clustered as it's been mostly outsourced to the highest-ranking members of the Akwa Ibom Tech Community so might pose a lot of bottlenecks. In the South West, Osun and Ekiti States. Ekiti particularly is very open to considerations, pitches, and discussing proposals. |
Namaster:It's a Nigerian thing, really. Months back, a highly-placed associate of mine who walks the corridors of power organised a 2-week long Bible quiz and debate to mark a personal anniversary. His kids are tech gurus and he associates closely with me, a techie. But he thought redundant things like Bible quizzes are the best way to help young people. He invited me and I turned it down under the guise of having conflicting events. Nigerian elites deliberately do these things. They know what they are doing. |
joseph1832: joseph1832:Google Trends is an aggregation of words or phrases internet users are 'talking' about at any given time, and it collates talking points from across social media and websites. Google Search, on the other hand, is a list of what people are actively searching out on Google. Not just talking about, but actively searching. For example, we were discussing about the Wike and Fubara issue here weeks ago for days on end. If Nairaland had the feature, it'd have dominated Nairaland Trends. But people could be actively searching about other topics like JAMB 2024, Job Scams, or other words, so these would have dominated Nairaland Searches. That's the easiest way to explain it. Some Google Trends feature in Google Searches and vice versa, but the analyses aren't the same. Google states this even on its website. SEO analysts know this. Bloggers have to learn the difference to scale. My previous posts added Google Support links to this too. Anyone who even knows about SEO would never doubt Similarweb reports as its still the only functional SEO tool to gauge web traffic publicly, whether from Google or any other search engine. And that's where I got my initiate report from. --- Nothing irks me like arrogant ignorance. You see fóólish people on Twitter like the 012 doofus doubling down on topics and issues they have zero and very little grasp on. When caught lying, they hide under "cruise" or "savagery" to mask their blatant hogwash. |
Sportsweb:Ignore the pea-sized cerebrum dûnce. When people versed or immersed in certain areas as going on about an issue, a smart person sits it out, asking only probing questions where necessary to learn, or just follows the flow of the back-and-forths to learn. I do this when issues of cryptocurrency and banking are discussed here. These aren't my areas and I sit back to learn or enjoy the flow, and ask probing questions at intervals where necessary. There's no shame in admitting to this. Experience and knowledge trump random Google searches to come off as smart. But, no, Mr 012 has a smartphone so this corner of the internet has to endure the virtual stench of his stupidity and ignorance. |
Trevor012:Exactly! Beat you into mental submission till you reply completely unintelligibly like the 012-point I.Qed simpleton you have always been. Good you have dropped your charade of faux-intelligence. Step into the light to reveal who you really are. Now scurry back to whatever digital orifice you emerged from! |
Trevor012:Like I stated, you are still a fóól who doesn't know the difference between Google Trends and Google Searches, and keeps posting Google Trends screenshots as proof when my initial and subsequent posts stated "Google Searches" explicitly. You got a free lecture from me. You should be grateful. I know you have to put up some resistance for optics but it reinforces your ignorance. Featherbrained hermit! |
Trevor012:Hapless nitwit! Google Trends and Google Search, though similar, are not the same thing. Even Google states this on its many websites and sub-websites. https://www.google.com/url?q=https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/153289316/google-trends-shows-different-results-than-google-search-console-for-the-same-keyword https://support.google.com/trends/answer/4365533?hl=en https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-difference-between-Google-Trends-and-Google-search For example, the most trending words or phrases on Twitter aren't the most searched words. It just means people are tweeting about it more, but not searching the words. Trends words or phrases which dominate talking points even for short periods at intervals. "Ibadan gas explosion" would be the most trending this week in Nigeria likely because, as news headlines and persons are referring to it at this instant in post, it'd trend; but it'd patter out. And they aren't searching it out. Cached postings on social media like Twitter and Facebook would be factored into Trends, but it doesn't translate to searches. On the whole a phrase like "JAMB 2024" might turn out to be the most searched. Sit down! Learn, you 12-point I.Qed nutcase. |
patrickmuf:I've always insisted here that a lot of monies made by state governments do not reflect in IGRs. Just local-search "DissTroy IGR state government". Then there's the very lucrative Cross River - Akwa Ibom stretch of the ocean. The Cameroon - Calabar - Oron - Ibeno belt. Shark fishing and fishing trawlers are bought with government monies but never reflect in the IGR. Monies made from the blue economy never reflect in financial statements. |
Trevor012:Stop arguing what you know little about. The year in review is 2023 and global searches are factored in. Here's the link to the report on Similarweb: https://www.similarweb.com/blog/marketing/seo/top-keywords/ . For those who know, Similarweb is the world's leading platform and tool for aggregating web searches and website traffic. Only rivaled by Alexa Rank which has now been discontinued. It's one of the first intermediate lessons you'd learn in any SEO course. |
Ibime:LOL. I posted this on my status and the folks who disputed it are Chelsea fans too. But it's really Arsenal the football club. Chelsea and Barcelona weren't in the top 100 searches. Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Liverpool. In that order. Most googled sport teams/clubs, actually. Top 100 global google searches. |
Random search minutes ago: Arsenal is 2023's most googled EPL club. ------- Manchester United and Liverpool come a distant second and third. |
Singapore1:Form is temporary, class is permanent. No player has truly lit up the AFCON with goals yet. And there were reports before the game he's nursing a sprain or so. |
joseph1832:As sizeable percentage of the most notorious, brash, and corrupt politicians at the very top in Nigeria are, ironically, lawyers. Nobody flaunts the law like them. Wike, FFK, Keyamo, Lai Mohammed,Fashola, Akpabio, Gbajabiamila, Seriake Dickson, e.t.c. We might make a case for the last four not being brash, but they are just as corrupt. The first four? Anything goes and there's nothing is too ridiculous to say or do. Including the henchmen who burn down HOA quarters and other vices. It's worse at state level. |
