Please! When it gets most decisive and if it's balloting day tomorrow, a bulk of those groaning would vote and campaign for the worst candidates on the ballots fueled by ethnoreligious sentiments. |
We can all keep wailing about the kidnappings and increased spate of crimes while blaming the government for everything, but as long as a vocal and sizeable number of young people continue to excuse away questionable and unexplainable sources of wealth under the guise of "Did you question his poverty?" or as it's more commonly stated crudely in the South " All way na way ", the insecurity is only going to get worse. Just this week, right on this thread, fraud was being justified by certain people. Right on Facebook, kidnappings are excused away. Then human trafficking, armed robbery, and worse. Blame the government, blame Nigeria, blame the heroes past (and the anti-heroes), but you are a ruining crime apologist because it favours you and yours.

liveLongNprospa:Ironically, the same website you quoted posited Kroos isn't fit to lace Xavi's boots, while calling Xavi "the engine room". https://therealchamps.com/2017/05/28/toni-kroos-hardly-xavis-heir-xabi-alonsos-heir/ How about that for a reply? Shooting you with your own gun. |
Blueelf:Maybe; but then again, maybe not. Nostalgic bias? You seem to forget so quickly how Mikel used to get vituperative criticisms from football lovers for holding on to the ball a tad too longer than necessary, needless back passes when he should be forcing the attack, and slowing the pace of the team's attack. Onazi was more attack-minded than Mikel. |
liveLongNprospa:Kroos was never in the conversation for the top 3 most influential players in the Madrid UCL-winning teams and the WC German team. The IG model, Benzema, Modric, Ramos, and Casemiro were more decisive than him for the Madrid team. Muller, Boateng, Neuer, and even Lahm were more influential to the German World Cup success. ---- In contrast, Xavi was Spain's and Barcelona's top 3 player for all of the stretched periods of dominance. So much so there's still a debate if he was denied a Balon d'Or or two - something nobody has said about Kroos. |
liveLongNprospa:It's funny and laughable until you realize the group is chiefly a Northern group where the majority take what their thought leaders saying without questioning it. And if you can spread the narrative to the unlearned man who has the same voting rights as you that Peter Obi has trillions stacked away which he hasn't made available to the hungry man, it begins to take shape. And it's hard to change a core Northern man's perception once it forms. Elections would be here soon and he and his horde would vocalize it. Remember how the rumour of Obi chasing non-Igbos away from Anambra as Governor raised its head during the campaigns? It started as a rumour a decade and a half before. |
Mujtahida:Same Bible you pontificate with says faith without works is dead. To compliment the faith, do the work on the pitch tomorrow. And the first thing is not looking past the match to make post-match celebratory declarations. Cape Verde wasn't supposed to lose to SA based off pre-game analyses. A section of their media were already talking up plans to match up with us. |
joseph1832:Corn logic: Let's ignore the obvious tainting lie spewed by a support group of our party to focus on telling the opposition not to complain Peter Obi wasn't the only one mentioned in the lie. |
Sportsweb:Exactly what I wanted to post. These people are hellbent on gaslighting that they'd finger a Peter Obi who left public office years ago for the rot they caused. From "What would Peter Obi have done differently?" to "Peter Obi is responsible for everything going on". |
mostob:Fans are completely fixated on the fun of trolling Ghana and South Africa all year long that we are looking past the actual game. For us Twitter banter supersedes the possibilities of the 90 minutes on the pitch. |
Mujtahida:And this overconfidence from fans and players alike might be our undoing. |
izzou:Since the cash crunch drama in January 2023, I only use fintech apps for everyday transactions. First time in weeks of transferring to a traditional bank vendor account on a weekend, got debited but seller isn't credited. Of course, Nigerian vendors don't care. I'd have to pay regardless via any means while sorting out the issues myself during the weekdays or wait 72 hours. |
izzou:Crazy bank. I'm here at a supermarket hoping it processes before I leave. Thankfully, there are fintech platforms to the rescue. |
raumdeuter:What the..?!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Incognito9:A presidential candidate wanting to be president of an import-dependent country who declared and reprimanded the citizens for worrying about the foreign exchange rates was never going to do any analysis of consequences. The joke is on his minions who cheered him when he kept dropping distasteful and anti-economic-development takes during the campaigns. |
Taguchi:Because my support for Obi was never a game. It was about the best candidate on the ballot managing Nigeria's affairs in these critical times. In retrospect, we have come to realize all the "Obi would come a distant third" and "O lule" quips never mattered - we are all facing the consequences of people who thought and still think Nigeria's issues are nothing more than football cup games. ----- Fuel was #180 when he bragged in the post I quoted. It's #680 today. 378% increase. All for what? |

Ellexy:"Wailing Obidients again. What would Peter Obi have done differently?" |
Fashola had an interview days ago where he said Nigerians are expecting too much of Tinubu. Live long enough and you'd see heroes become villains. Wole Soyinka Fashola Festus Keyamo The last two were interestingly lawyer-activists. |
Odunayaw:Yes. Ekong means "war" in Ibibio. Ogun means "war" in Yoruba. Balogun means "war general" in Yoruba. In Ibibio, it's "Otuekong". So Ekong is actually " Otuekong" interchangeably. Our Oyibo Wall have War Generals as their literal names. |
Goke7:I am Ibibio. This is exactly what it means. No other meaning - just "war". |
Most of you don't realize it but Ekong, our captain's name, literally means "war" in his native Ibibio language. |
LOL. Typical PunkyVeer / PunkyV reply. You wanted to come bask in the euphoria of compliments but I exposed you as a catfish. |
joseph1832:She can only deceive those who don't know her antics. I called her by her old monikers months ago on this thread and she couldn't deny it. She did upload her pictures then with a few persons who interact with her confirming it. And they were nothing like the picture she has on now. Pure catfish. |
nihilistjnr:That's not her. Everyone from years ago knows what PunkyVeer aka PunkyV aka Kholiwe looks like. That is certainly not her. |
Kholiwe:Hello, Mpumlanga. ![]() |
Onyeka has been on fire so far. Doing all the dirty work himself so Iwobi can make the necessary passes. |
Sleepy Joe for a reason. More weapons added to Trump's arsenal. I'm sure he'd mention it in one of his rallies. |
BlueRayDick:More people die crossing highways than ingesting Sñiper. More people would die today before 6PM crossing highways than the total number of people who'd ingest Sniper this week or month. |
EreluRoz:Then when she's "changed" and done with slutting around and on the internet, she'd try to guilt -trip innocent men into accepting her with her baggage because that's what "real men" do. |
Felimax:Smart guy! You could help them solve little tech issues in return - their Facebook having issues, apps not working... Little things. Some people befriend hotel staff during the coming up process to make use of the constant power in hotels. But co-working spaces are the best though. You'd also network and get gigs and recommendations from other occupants of the spaces if your interpersonal skill is good. |
Now this is how to put women power to use. Instead of fighting innocent men on Twitter, tagging all men evil, and blaming men for all their woes. Team up to fight societal shortcomings like this and watch men support you. |
