iamoyindamola:We chase 'cruise' with everything in this country; in this TikTok, short-attention span age. Those of us who do not key into it or prefer to reserve it for personal interactions only are called stuck-up and overly-serious. Everything is content for bored strangers on the internet whose interest in your affairs are fleeting distractions. There's no line. Everything is up for streaming. Why do you think BBNaija is so popular? There's no line. Mohbad's exhumed decomposing body is currently on Twitter, posted by the 'concerned' activists. It's content and nothing more. |
Itsrm:I let all of it simmer for 9 days after I began my barrage against the supposed opinionated seekers of justice (on Twitter particularly). Almost 2 weeks and there have been a thousand twists and turns, with new and known clownish attention-seekers leveraging on Mohbad's death to boost their profiles. Everything I have stated, as controversial as they were, almost 9 - 10 days ago have been proven right. We'd do a total review by October 14, and on December 14. Expect nothing more than clown acts in a circus. [/quote] |
Theflint1:You could say same about MOST opinionated folks on Twitter and still be right. Even David Hundeyin, for all of the good investigations he does, is an asshole when responding to regular, impartial comments sometimes. And he's more vitriolic than the three you mentioned combined. If we are judging for being assholes, then we should all be judged. We do personals here too like Iyin is accused of doing, don't we? Maybe not everyday, but he doesn't do it everyday so in what way is neccessarily more horrible than the rest of us? Why is Iyin always singled out? Always like he's the worst of us? |
Amigoss:Hundreds of thousands or even millions of Obidients supported Buhari in 2015, including those on this thread. How come they aren't hated for that reason? Mark Essien was loved by the same folks until he did his IReV validation thing in March then the attacks began. I even made a comment on it in March. March 26, 2023. DissTroy:Same Mark Essien contributed to organising and funding Obidient rallies in Akwa Ibom and Cross Rivers States, and he was a darling on Twitter because it aligned. Immediately he did the IReV thing and began tweeting about the possibility of it not going Obi's way, the hate began. Accusations of being an APC mole and more. Twitter timeline proves it. You can either man up to swipe like apex birds of prey, taking concise stances on issues being debated, or wait on the sidelines hoping to feed on carrion of dying issues while others are looking away in the dead of the night. At the end of the day, you are neither here not there. Just one hoping all over the place with no defined talking point or known for taking any stance. ![]() |
Theflint1:See my point? How's Mark Essien an asshole? How many times has he been involved in fights or wars? But he did the IReV validation thing and he's been hated since then. They are not necessarily hated for being the tech leaders they are, but for their real or presumed political stances. Mark Essien, particularly, accused for being an El Rufai stooge and an APC mole with no evidence. He's the easiest-going of the lot, including when compared to Asemota and the others, but he's hated too. |
liveLongNprospa:I already pointed out in the comment which started this 4 weeks ago that Iyin's political summations are shit sometimes. DissTroy:He's an asshole too, but the increased hate he's getting is simply because he's unabashedly pro-Tinubu. He gets attacked at the slightest opportunity. If David Hundeyin had backed the rehabilitating Yahoo boys by teaming up with BBC, would he have gotten that much hate? Or even Kola Aina? Iyin the VC and tech founder could be making a point which has nothing to do with politics but he's attacked for being Iyin, the guy siding with the government. Even on this thread, don't pro-Tinubu and pro-Obi folks discuss and merry over other issues outside of politics? Why is he singled out? Most opinionated folks on Twitter are assholes but he's been made the poster boy of assholes undeservedly. If you think Iyin is everything you pointed out he is, what would you say about Asemota who consciously seeks out trouble? But he doesn't get the hate Iyin gets. |
Theflint1: liveLongNprospa:Let's exemplify with recent events: He thought it was a good idea to rehabilitate Yahoo boys (I'm skeptical about it; no, against it), even though the idea isn't his. And he explained why they should get a lifeline at a second chance. Everything which followed his tweets were insults and more. He defended himself from the attackers. --- Last year when he was being trolled for getting booted out of a company he cofounded (Flutterwave), he didn't start any of it. He had to defend himself. How do you attack people unprovoked then choose how they defend themselves? And worse even, we found out those marshalling the pitchfork army last Sunday are direct beneficiaries of political Yahoo boys themselves. He's an asshole sometimes, he's sanctimonious, he says contradictory things even... But he rarely ever starts a fight. We can all agree on that. |
Theflint1:LOL. You definitely haven't seen Asemota clapback over the years. Iyin, as much as I know, rarely ever gets personal with his attacks. And the hate he's been getting on Tech Twitter recently seems to coincide with him being 'vocally' pro-Tinubu. He basically just tweets positive things he notices about the government or intends to see without necessarily antagonising the other parties, or prays Tinubu's government goes well. He doesn't deserve that much hate. It's undue. |
Theflint1:Not Bosun directly at first. It started off with Iyin wanting to raise funds to rehabilitate teenage Yahoo boys as techies. Asemota disagrees then it spirals into political divides and by Sunday, affiliations to corrupt politicians were being mentioned, with folks initially attacking Iyin for being pro-Tinubu. It went downhill from there when Iyun hit back with the Ibori and Anenih tags. |
Theflint1:I've stated in my response to Larride that Iyin contradicts himself sometimes. And that he's sneaky has even been stated by me. He was the CEO of Flutterwave when the company got fined in the U.S. for money-laundering-like charges, and other underhanded deals. That's damning enough. I buttressed it with me being wary of overly-religious folks. |
Theflint1:Lie! You should see the reaction to Iyin calling him out for being an Ibori boy to know most of the internet, and particularly those in the tech and VC space didn't know of Asemota's connection to Ibori. Those are not outlandish. What's outlandish and hypocritical was Asemota attacking Iyin for routing for Tinubu's guy who got appointed as minister while he, Asemota, profited off serving Ibori, a convicted embezzler. Doubt me? You want links to the tweets? |
FFK would say even the darnest things in hopes of him being found worthy of pittance from Tinubu, including disown his shadow. And more and more, his trajectory with Reno Omokri align. Sadly, they've lost on all three sides: On Tinubu's, Atiku's, and the Nigerian populace whose interests are at cross roads with those of the old order FFK hopes to feed fat from. |
larride:For all the good Iyin does, he's said a lot of contradictory things many times. As at 2014, Iyin was a big boy in the Nigerian tech space. Claiming he "walked into a church looking unkempt, dirty, and sweaty with bathroom slippers " in the heart of Lagos was him trying to imply something but being crafty with it. Too bad Elon Musk has limited checking quoted tweets for now else we'd have seen reactions to it. Or maybe it'd be referenced soon enough after the Mohbad saga fades away as he's always trending every other week. |
DissTroy:"I just came across a post attacking the person of HE, Mrs Margaret Peter Obi nee Brownson Usen. I have also seen pictures Uncle Mo's cousin from Abak [ Insert: The person being referred to here is an aide to Godswill Akpabio and an APC stalwart ] has been posting on the social media claiming it's Peter Obi's father in-law house at Onna which is uncompleted and Obi couldn't do that for his father in law. Dearest Da Zion Umoh , It might interest you to know that Mrs Obi was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. Her Late Father ,Brownson Usen was known as UBO BROS and that man was a millionaire in the 70s till when he died. He was a major distributor for different breweries and had his warehouse at Nwaniba Road opposite Technical School [insert: at Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State ] He also owned that 3 storey building that you see immediately you enter Brooks Street by Nwaniba. [Uyo, Akwa Ibom.] [Insert: It's a popular landmark with the road leading to Government House, Uyo so everyone knows it. ] That was not a poor man. He also built the one storey building on Nwaniba which he was living with his family and part of that building was rented out to CTL when he died. Her first brother was the late Brownson Usen who was popularly known as BU while the other brother Richard has been outside the country for more than 30 years now. ![]() For the records Sir, Peter Obi's wife never came from a poor home. Meanwhile, Some of us here will vote her husband as the next president of this country. Aside being the best amongst the contestants, He is our in-law and I will vote him." https://www.facebook.com/100000217343856/posts/pfbid02Aq5W5V74RxqfRB14xTsV3KzCNRgeyw8TcFgjTFWjy9dUWGHC45qnfZT7SS43g4r7l/ Also of note is, the poster hails from the same LGA and clan as Margaret Obi, Onna LGA, a PDP stalwart, and a newspaper publisher. I had this all along but wanted to bait you. Watching clowns being clowns is fun. |
Here's just a little bit about Margaret Obi neé Margaret Brownson Usen. Like I stated, her family is known. She had a privileged upbringing and her family house still stands till date: https://www.facebook.com/100000217343856/posts/pfbid02Aq5W5V74RxqfRB14xTsV3KzCNRgeyw8TcFgjTFWjy9dUWGHC45qnfZT7SS43g4r7l/ . She isn't even running for office. Now post any of such about Tinubu? No? Thought as much. Decrepit clówns! |
Even as Governor of Anambra, his wife's family stayed put and never hugged the limelight. Public profiles of Tinubu's daughter, Folashade, puts her at 60+. But Tinubu claims to be 71+. Which means the corn man had his first daughter at 10+ years? Nobody knows his siblings, his childhood friends, any verifiable information about him in his first 18 years! When you succeed in posting a picture of any Tinubu's siblings, then you'd have the information you see about the Brownson Usen family of small Onna LGA, Akwa Ibom State. You must have congealed ground maize for cerebral matter, you accursed croaking frog! |
ribbit:There are a thousand biographies on Margaret Obi, most of which are imaginations which sprang up after the race. You'd barely see any news of her before 2022, and almost zero before 2018. None are her official biographies. Margaret Obi's maiden name is Margaret Brownson Usen. She hails from Onna LGA (which is the same LGA as the immediate past Governor of Akwa Ibom State). You won't see this part on blogs. The Brownson Usen family is known. Not famous but known. You want me to post her younger brother's Facebook account so when he coughs or reacts to a news article you call all find a way to rope Peter Obi into it? What you want a map to the family house? You should focus on Tinubu, a drug dealer who faked everything. including his age, with no siblings and missing gaps. But rabbits are incapable of rational thoughts and logic. Your username is RIBBIT which means "the croaking sound of a frog". Perfect moniker for a dôlt fanboying for a drug dealer who's trolled for having "okpolo eyes". Go figure! |
A40:Oh. See why I have reservations about overly-religious folks? Now it all makes sense how he got started with big bucks venture capital. Just last Sunday, he himself exposed another VC Juggernaut, Asemota, for making his first millions working for the Ibori dynasty while Asemota preaches starting with a cup of garri to Startup Twitter everyday. It all makes sense now. Thank you. |
Bluezy13:The clown thinks those of us who don't smoke or drink and aren't exactly womanizers go about seeking to be friends with these addicts who can't curtail their addictions. We simply tolerate them or learn to ignore their flaws. |
ribbit:Dude, you either lack a functional brain or you're a professional clown. Margaret Obi was in her 20's when she got married. Her younger brother is 51 now which made him 20+ years in 1992 when Obi wedded his older sister . That in turn would make her about 22 - 24 years when she wedded Obi. I have mentioned Margaret Obi's family details and her relatives so you can juxtapoxe the time frame. Focus on defending paedophile Buhari who married a teenage Aisha like you have done for 9 years, rabbit! |
A40:A40, we had this conversation 4 weeks ago. You mentioned Iyin's father is the G.O. of a mega church so he comes from opulence? He's telling a different story about being broke and unkempt less than 10 years ago in 2014 even though he was CEO of Flutterwave in 2016 or so. Which does one believe?

Nothing on earth can save you from a woman who's determined to hurt you by crying and lying. Nothing. Protest all you will, present all evidence you have, but you'd be tainted forever if it goes public. Exactly why as a man you must avoid any form of intimacy with a female who has a history of calling out people and has a lot to gain by tarnishing your image. Be picky with women no matter how willing and beautiful they are. |
ribbit:Whataboutism to distract. Her wedding picture is public and her younger brother is about 51. You should be more concerned Buhari whom you supported for 9 years married Aisha as a child: https://saharareporters.com/2021/04/09/aisha-buhari-opens-marrying-buhari-teenager . You are the real paedophile enabler. ![]() |
ShaqFu:When and if Margaret Obi decides to run for office like Mrs Obiano and Betty Akeredolu, the media would and should strip her bare. For now, in the words of those who defended Seyi for buying an 11 million pounds house and a 350 million naira watch, "She's a private citizen not obligated to anyone". |
iamoyindamola:She barely even comments on any issue. It shows the twisted mentality of the Maize-runners. Equating the criminal allegations of BAT who commit perjury by falsifying his age with a private citizen who isn't even running for office. Ironically, the same people on this thread trying to cast aspersions about Margaret Obi's age defended Seyi Tinubu when he was exposed for buying an £11 million house in the U.K. and wearing a #350 million watch. They defended it as "Seyi is a private citizen and isn't running for office" right on this thread. You want me to dig up posts? I can. The shameless hypocrisy is why I stopped engaging the cornmen on Nigerian sociopolitics. |
iamoyindamola:He doesn't need to answer because it's obvious. Obi's wife was in her twenties when Obi married her. Her siblings are still alive. She's a distant relative to Udom Emmanuel, immediate past Akwa Ibom Governor, from the same LGA with a proper marriage. Even her younger brother should be 51 or so. Whoever said she's 49 and published such is stûpid. That's an obvious lie she herself can't admit to publicly. She's in her 50's. But women lie about their age daily, and she isn't running for office so... |
Theflint1:Just another one of the many digital sicarios for hire on Twitter, positioning themselves to get deals to push agenda - any agenda, for Lucifer, Angel Michael, and anyone caught in between. Their posts might align with yours and mine sometimes. but as certain as death, their agenda is funded. Another of Henry Shield's associates, by the way. |
Amoto94:From 2016 to 2020, Segun Awosanya AKA @segalink carefully positioned himself as the face against police brutality, trending hashtags and periodical motivational quotes with zoom calls where security officers were invited with selected speakers who are his associates. Well, it turned out he got exposed in 2021 as having deals with the security personnel, standing as an in-between to get kickbacks and compensations, and basically being as fantastically corrupt and hypocritical as the police he was seemingly against. ---- Henry Shield was always holding Twitter spaces, trending hashtags against bad government, positioned himself as the face against tyranny, labelling Buhari with every insult (which Buhari deserves anyway). It took a fight with his associates for him to get exposed as an Ikpeazu henchman who was on the payroll, and has been loyal to the Orji dynasty which has kept Abia State underdeveloped for more than two decades. Imagine fighting bad governance and oppression while being on Ikpeazu's payroll. --- Who else? Nerfititi? Who? Erm, is it Asiwaju Lerry? Who? The regular Twitter handles you always see when there's a trending scandal or controversy are visible by design. --- TechCabal even did a piece recently where a few of them admitted being on Twitter is their full time job, and their major fear is not being visible. https://techcabal.com/2023/09/07/twitter-influencer-in-two-months-a-nigerian-influencers-guide/ (Which is their way of saying, "I'd do anything to be visible, including peddling conspiracies and jumping on every fresh trend".) Then gullible bloggers and media houses soundboard these opinions along with the truth, while the rest of the internet has to deal with misinformation. It might be unpopular to state these things but I'm a sucker for hard harsh truths. The more people realize the truth and intention of most of these opinionated folks on Twitter, the quicker they learn to sieve the information they digest. |
DissTroy:Here's the fallout of the Twitter spaces. Like I predicted, it was always going to be thought leaders who don't give a tuppence about the victim listening to their own voices and promoting themselves, with no tangible action taken. If you know nothing about an issue being pointed out, take a backseat. Some of us see these things coming way before the signs even show. ![]()

ShaqFu:With the NPF manpower stretched or reportedly so, priority is always given to issues based on severity. And if the public opinions (Twitter in this case where the PPROs are active on) seem to downplay the gravity, what happens? His case was skewed as an ungrateful record signee gone rogue by the same Twitter influencers. Even I who didn't listen to his music saw that much when I checked trends at intervals. What I am calling out is the hypocrisy and aloofness, and the underlying selfish intentions for the current posturing based on their antecedence. And that many people can't see them for what they are is good business for them. By the way, in April, 2019, to create and sustain a trend for 3 - 4 hours on Twitter at off-peak periods was #200,000 charged by average influencers with 10,000 to 20,000 followers. You get what I am driving at? I know the workings of these guys and their ultimate goal, and I've always known their motive. If it's cool to align with the Devil for visibility and impressions, they'd do so. Go find out why the third or fourth nested tweets of these influencers even on the Mohbad issue always seem to have them promoting a venture, product, or joining a Telegram group for exclusives. |
Emaprince:The Okpa guy is a fóôl so I'd ignore him. There's a reason my attacks have been targeted at Twitter opinionated folks, not Instagram, Facebook, or Nairaland. It's deliberate. Except you aren't immersed in the Twitter NG drama 'subculture' would you be surprised at what I have been pointing out. The reason Mohbad's petition wasn't made a priority by the police was because the thought leaders and influencers had a deal to suppress it on Twitter. The same people with the faux sympathy today trolled the same guy, drawing parallels with Cynthia Morgan and other 'ungrateful' record label signees. The reason they are on Mohbad's side now is because it's trendy to be there today. Give it three months and they'd be back to promotional deals and favourable reviews for the main culprits fingered in his death. OkpaNsukka is a halfwit who couldn't defend the barrage of attacks and questions on his stance against religion and culture all through last week with the Ótem guy denigrating Africans and is looking for a way back into the fold. An outcast to logical discussions. But what's a bingo to an Alsatian? What? ![]() |
DissTroy:In just 6 hours, they proved it. Twitter spaces. The same "thought leaders"/ influencers headlining the Twitter spaces to listen to their own voices, bandy new twists to " inside information" they have, reshared by the WhatsApp group of cliquey influencers. Then from 6AM tomorrow, they'd fill the trends with hashtags and anecdotes of what they said in the Twitter space tonight, skillfully adding keywords like "Mohbad", " Naira Marley", "Sam Larry" and their Twitter handles. The third nested tweets would be of them promoting products or services based off promotional deals. And on and on and on... Well, until there's a fresher gist and off they go. No real action taken. Predictable because it's what happens everytime if you are immersed in Twitter NG drama subculture. Welcome to social media acting - Act 4, Scene 937. |
