Lmao, realistically speaking. The best way to balance the equation is to be Jobless or take a low paying job that would give you more time to stay with your wife and kids.

You cannot be earning a high 6 or 7 figures in Naira per month and not be working your ass off.

Women want your time & money, you have to forfeit both. Then live averagely Lmao.
Except you don't really care about your marriage
You can after all live the way you want. Highest na divorce or unstable home you will get finally.

Most especially with the times we are in now
If you no get time for your woman
There are so many bad guys out there
Whose daily ambition is Preying daily on women, they full everywhere now
Very terrible things dey happen nowadays
Only very few principled women can resist these kind of temptations

As long as people live fake life and life of vanity
That's the way it will end

Majority of the young men we have around live very fake life
They live way above there means
It is just a matter of time
The real truth will show

In addition they live live like dogs
No control, will sleep with anything in skirt

I don't want to sound judgemental
But if you have these attributes mentioned
Better turn to God
To help you
Or else you will definitely get your reward

Which is why this still stands

Do you agree?
OK I get you right. Sure irrespective of what many modern day feminist may say, women need men so much. Why do they spend time and a lot to look good?
They want a Good man.

Men that understands this can mould there women into what they want. The exception being the sluty, highly immoral women, which any decent man will run and avoid

men also need attention from their woman..OP has been working his self out ..he is down...he needs help from his wife....marriage is supposed to be symbiotic not parasitic!!!.....they both need each other for one to survive!!..Must the man do everything?. can't the women give support!!...
You may say all that but the woman in a mans life needs his attention. She can reciprocate in a feminine way. Whatever you give a woman she will multiply it tenfold and give it back to you.
That's why they have womb, to incubate and grow things.

Give a woman sperm she will give you a baby in return
Give a woman real love and she will multiply it many fold
Give a woman wahala and she will show you they have grade one in wahala

But many men nowadays don't understand this

If women require men's attention before their brains can function properly, then it's fair to say that men are also the reason most women breath.
I am a man and true women need attention from there man.

And op said he has been working his ass off, but he may have started neglecting giving his wife attention. A very bag guy that comes around that knows what women ears want to hear can hijack the situation.

The dude need to balance his game. Improve on his connection with his woman. Woman are very different from we men. Most men don't understand that.

Almost everyone have suffered heart break, and I believe most times what we call love is bothered on naivety.

For me I am more businesslike in my relationship. I learnt so much from heartbreak.
Now as a man I must be in control, less emotions, more businesslike, but I will still have great regards for your feelings as a woman, but everything must be at my terms, or else the door is wide open for you to leave.

The greatest mistake many men make is that they overlook important things and mess up there life.

Good wife is better than money. It is next to being in heaven. Imagine being with a woman that encourages, supports you.
A man was confessing that when he lost his job for 4 good years, if not for his wife, he would have committed suicide. That period the wife was working, when the wife collects her salary, she gives him everything, to plan for the family.
That many nights he couldn't sleep, she will wake up and start encouraging him that e go better. He later bounced back, but it was in his trials he knew, he had a jewel as a wife.

You guys never understand context, you just want to be savage. She quoted a guy who posted his Third Class result, she was encouraging him.

Why are you people so triggered when third class and 2:2 graduates share their success stories on the internet? Is it only first class and 2:1 graduates that have success stories? Is it possible that everyone will be first class and 2:1? Live and let live.
Don't mind them

The summary was that she made it against all odds.

It is Nigeria's mentality

Many people don't know that failure is a good drive/motivation for success. In fact it is better you fail, then learn from your mistakes and get better.

While instant success can be a recipe for failure

You can say that again.
The best thing that can happen to any man is to have a good wife. It is next to being in heaven. Peace of mind and rest.

A guy that married a bad woman was telling me the story of his life yesterday. She gave him hell. And he had money when he married her. But lost almost everything. Left the guy 1 month after giving birth to a son for him.
But God wiped his tears. Met an exceptionally good woman, they have now been together for 7 years, she took that boy the other one left as her son. Now they have additional 2 sons.
The guys experience was something else. Wife no be boobs and backside. There is so much more to having a good wife.

Literally, you are right but this world is unfair. Those oloshos are those who marry real men with the dough after their years of frolics, this is because of their experience at giving a man mind blowing romance, they could have any man they want. Most playboys you claim they marry olosho ends up with a deeper life lady who can even wash their hands before they 'LIKE' their husband's post on social media grin this is because they've sampled girls of different sizes and complexion that they aren't moved no more and end up marry a peacemaker who couldn't trouble them because they don't plan to give up their playboy lifestyles anytime soon. Most times the naive good guys marry beautiful evening newspapers, in their mind, they are the most luckiest man on earth to marry a barbie, later on, those ladies starts to give them problem that they couldn't handle due to their naivety about women and... BOOM! they open thread on nairaland cheesy

Capital no
There are more thousands of Igbo businesses doing very well
So why all these noise making

The man I even respect in all these is strive musiwa the Zimbabwean, one of my mentors

Apart from BUA cement owner who you know has no link to government establishment, he is a pure hustling business man
Every other Nigerian on that list are pure government establishment link. So you cannot start comparing hard working business hustlers who have done extremely well for themselves with those government establishment linked ones.

There is no basis for comparison

My cousin and I were discussing some weeks ago, he was telling me that God saved him, that he married before he suffered serious misfortune, almost lost everything he had.

It isn't that they're small or they can't defend themselve but a unified approach to handle such disturbances especially from corrupt men who know what is right but fail to do what is right. Nigeria would have to come together and show to these people that they care and we are all one. God bless Nigeria.

2: The Igbos love to travel and most of them are not tribal fanatics they believe in prosperity and were they find such factors of prosperity they tend to flock there. Gradually there is an exodus of Igbos going back to their lands, MASSOB and IPOB need not to worry. We are still one Great country, under one GOD.

You still dont get it. Its not just rappers. Its a cultural thing. Most Americans make more money than Nigerians but they have a deeply ingrained mindset of spending their entire pay cheque and live from weekly pay day to pay day.

I once asked my colleague an african american why he would go and spend all his pay cheque at the strip club throwing one dollar bills to a female shaking booty, that if i do such ill feel like a slowpoke....all he said was " you gotta feed the birds".

Most of them get paid on thursday. By monday they are broke and begging you for money to fill their tank so they can come to work.

So making money is not the problem...keeping it is it. Plus they have a system that is designed to take all you earned and leave you to the barest. My own monthly expense on bills alone is roughly $2,500 every month.

Now i used to get irritated by their bad spending habit until i looked at them from a more empathetic angle.

They are descended from ancestors who where slaves for many generations. Up until like 1865,as slaves they did not earn any money, could not plan for the future cause there was none for them. They could not buy land, own property nor leave any inheritance for their children...Do i have any justification to blame them for living a life like there is no tommorrow?

Bro these things are deeper than the surface. While they may not be in chains right now, their minds are still not accustomed to the thought patterns that a mind that was never enslaved is easily capable of.

Each time i sit with any african american...i try to tell them that in spite of the sheet going on around them, opportunities unknown and only dreamed of in many places in the world surround them and they should take advantage.
You are a wise man. I did a very exhaustive research on American slavery and I was shocked at the horror done to this people. No other group of people has differed this same kind of evil in the world in the past 1000years not even Jewish Holocaust of 1939.

Ever since then I don't talk bad about African Americans and other diaspora Africans in the Caribbean and Brazil.

The effect of slavery will continue to many of there generations to come. S

From experience, it is true. The more you suck up to s woman, she takes you for granted.

A man has to be firm.
Don't be a Sissy.

Its not just in relationships but also in marriage.
Respect a woman, but don't be a Sissy.

And another thing; go for a woman that want you. If a woman is not into you, don't waste your time.
A woman into you will sacrifice a lot to please you and be with you.
but a woman not into you is like pouring water on stone. In fact it is a waste of precious time.

Am talking from experience.

And the sad thing is that many men waste there time on women not into them and thereby Pierce themselves with many sorrows.

It is not a wise thing to do.

Also, Egypt being a force to reckon with in ancient times couldn't be ascertained whether they were real blacks or not ... at least the modern classification classified them as part of africa.

But it is either of the two you highlighted above or BOTH ... at least, one is correct there.... it is very bizarre ... one may be tempted to say divine forces are not in our favor ... everything just dey insane
You and the guy you quoted are very insensitive to the plight these guys went through during trans Atlantic slave trade.

Go and research, read about the atrocities of slavery on the blacks. There has not been any people in the past 1000years that suffered what those guys went through. Not even the horror that the Jews suffered in the hands of Adolf Hitler from 1939 to 1945(just 6yrs). Slavery was for almost 250years. The Jews up till today are crying about the Holocaust, but that is a child's play compared to the horrors of black.
Do a research to see the horror these guys went through.

So like I said, most of you are very insensitive

Coming to Africa
When the Europeans were leaving, they never gave power to the educated part of the countries they colonised.
Rather they empowered the less educated tribes to the detriment of the educated tribes.
This was there modus operandi throughout black Africa. From Nigeria, to Congo to Rwanda etc and this has been the bane of Africa.
Look at Nigeria, the Yoruba's, Igbo's and other tribes in the southern part are inclined to education, and they are doing well in foreign lands were they reside, but the foundation of Nigeria, gave power to the North.
Nigeria would have been more developed or even advanced if the South was more in the driving seat or had a complete say in how there system operates. If its a lie look at Lagos, with small bit autonomy they have had since the advent of democracy since 1999, they have done favourably well. If the entire southern Nigeria had complete say in how there system operates, they would have been far advanced by now. We beat even oyibo for school within there own domain. So that is the plight of Africa.
