Also I ensure that my parents are well taken care of. Intact I put them after God

Like I was telling some guys yesterday
People should prepare very well because what we are seeing now is a child's play to what will happen economically to the economy.
You cannot give what you don't have.

As for me I am already prepared. These are my strategies;

I will be focusing more on setting up my companies within the continent Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa are preferable

Then middle East also with Dubai as centre hub

Asia Pacific region with focus on Singapore and mainland China

European business with Switzerland as the centre hub

The truth is young Nigerians should begin to aspire to doing business on the global scale. Forget about Nigeria. Look at the bigger pie. There are so much money to be made around the world. And there are no restrictions even money wise or Visa wise. Once they know you are a genuine business man with means you will be respected.

These men have ruined Nigeria beyond measure
And we have a rising level of young people who are jobless, which is an alarm

so what is your point?

clear boundaries must be set, even though we are all family

it is the lack of well defined boundaries that cause trouble in the first place

There are rules of engagement between me and in laws, and extended family
we come together to help each other as family

but once again

Boundaries
Story

And boundaries being set how has it been?
Many more homes and marriages are breaking at an alarming rate.

What I am stating is based on research I conducted.
Family must remain supreme

Modern day women will want to control everything
And division is down
While most of then today don't even have the kind of character our mothers had

When a man marries
Ensure your wife follow family suprimacy
You will save yourself a lot
Because modern women don't have those character foundation to build a lasting legacy
Only just few
The wise ones
CelebritiesRe: Paul Okoye Shades Lola Omotayo-Okoye: "May God Soften Your Wickedness" by djon78(m): 10:39pm On Nov 18, 2018
One of the reasons why there are a lot of issues today in many homes, why there are many breaking homes is simply because family is no longer upheld.

Once a man marries, he just think its him his wife children, while neglecting family!!!

Family is still principal
If a man marries, he must position to overall family agenda.

But modern people no want learn this

And this is the problem in this peoples issue
Family must have remained supreme.

This is what I am trying to inculcate between me and my siblings. Family is supreme.

Tradermoni is a loan scheme. The money is supposed to be paid back. It's given to small- and medium-scale businesses for business development, so how does that equate to socialist policy? It's quite similar to the Grameen bank ideology of stimulating economic prosperity from the bottom. This is the start of something we've been asking for a long time: government-backed loans to businesses.

Tradermoni is not a handout to feed... it's a loan to allow you to grow your business. 10k may not seem like much, but it can make the difference between perpetual subsistence and actually making a decent profit to grow - just like that basket-weaver in Mohammed Younis' background on Grameen. It has flaws, and there will be profiteers, but it's the first serious initiative from government for years. The unfortunate thing is rather than continuity, it will be abandoned, just like the NAPEP scheme was.
Do you guys even look at yourself

I asked before what is economic value iof 10k and some people are saying they were given 5k

You are giving someone a loan of 10k and 5k??

Trademoni is a socialist scheme
There is no iota of economic value it adds to the economy.
Why didn't they use this money on 10 000 to 50 000 SMES

Socialist policies just give feeding money to ordinary people to chop daily food.
Maximum in less than 2 weeks it is back to square one

If they have wanted, to cater to the poor, they should have copied what Mohammed Younis did with Graemean bank in Bangladesh which gave finance to the poorest in the country.
It added economic value to millions and he won Noble Peace prize with it due to its impact.

People that are crying.

Nigeria has been defending the Naira for years against the dollars with our scarce foreign earnings.
By floating Naira, the dollars can be used on improving our infrastructures

There will be focus on local production and industrialization because exchange will be high for importation and this is the best thing we need now. Enough of all these importation.
We must industrialise Nigeria.

Industrialization will lead to development of other regions in Nigeria

The FDI has not be factored in. Investors will troop in enmass

Then Nigeria will begin to talk about balance of trade with surplus. A massive economic boom.

A new China is born

Nigeria must industrialise. Enough of importation nonsense, to the extent we import fuel too. Enough of this madness.
We must develop our local production. We have the population. We have the human resource.

Then the education sector is overhauled to position our education to global standards. I went to a Nigerian university then schooled overseas, and I can tell you our educational quality is a very huge joke.

This is a well taught out policy!!!!!

I can't wait for presidential debate!!! Atiku and Peter Obi will take APC to the cleaners, because this present governments economic team were horribly messy. Did they even have an economic teamhuh?

Late teens and early twenties is a perculiar time in many girls lives. Maturity and Jesus sets in and you become a woman.

Also, in those days, ritual killing wasn't rampant like this. I can only look back and thank God because the reckless things we did eh! Taking lifts from strangers. Impromptu trips with friends to Port Harcourt and Warri. We didn't even know who were visiting we just went. Anywhere Belle face.

We would go clubbing and sleep in strangers houses. We have exams the following morning o!

It was like we were on top of the world. There was no stopping us. We were living in the moment. I wouldnt say I was promiscuous. I was a virgin till almost 20. I had friends with body counts of over 40 by then.

There was one that was always getting pregnant and aborting, like back to back. God forgive us! She's even now a responsible married woman with 3 kids.

Bottomline is, girls will always be girls. It is only our mother's prayers that protect us and lead us back to the straight and narrow path before it was too late.
Sure. Some are lucky to get away with stuffs while some are not that lucky.
Anyway thanks be to God because even in our frailties He is still faithful!!

You don't need to know these answers. So don't ask if you can't handle what you hear.

Also she's very young. People do stupid things when they were younger. Doesn't mean they are bad people.

I got married at 24. Ive never cheated in almost 15 years of marriage.

I did crazy things when I was younger. Do I regret them, NO! Because they were mistakes and I learnt from them and it made me a better person and has fashioned the decisions I make.

Big deal she dated a married man? Question you should ask is has she repented?

One night stand? Big deal? Him without sin cast the first stone.

I had suitors left right and center since I turned 16, it got into my head. Recently, I've had the opportunity to talk with some of my exes and they told me they left because I was not serious. It was the prime of my life, I went clubbing every weekend, I entered night bus to go and visit strangers. Hell I took a flight halfway across the Atlantic to visit a guy I met randomly. Young girls are adventurous, it is part of growing up. If she didn't do those things when she was younger, she may want to try them when she's older out of boredom and curiosity.

And by 22, I was tired and realised this was too much energy. I needed to get my priorities straight. I met an older, even more crazy guy in what we called raves in London. Doped up parties with spiked drinks and people throwing up all over the place clearly an immoral place. He also had done even more crazy things when he was younger than I could ever imagine (like the party, dated sisters, dated his father's friends wife, tried drugs like coke, played girls) and was also tired of that kind of life. Hell it was his prime and should I have judged him when I am not his God? The most important thing is genuine repentance.

We both settled down to create a future together. I cannot beat my chest and swear he hasn't cheated. That is between him and his creator, but me, I have never cheated since we started dating when I was 22, and I will never cheat. I double dated in the past, I didn't enjoy it, I can't endure that hell again. Life is better when your hands are clean. No guilt shame and doubt. I learnt it from my past.

We talk of those crazy things we did in our past like war scars and tease each other about it. Sometimes he is like what the hell, did I tell you about that? And somethings I did, like him rescuing me from stalker exes, I'm like shhhhhiiiiit! Can't believe you haven't forgotten that.

I wasn't the domestic type, my husband taught me how to be a wife, in love and patience. He didn't ban me from clubbing, we clubbed together for a while till a baby was coming and for 10 years, I keep postponing the day we will club again because there is simply no time with 3 children all over my hair and I'm hoping to sleep one extra hour before all the madness starts again.

He didn't stop me from working, I decided to be a housewife so I won't collapse from exhaustion. Anyone who knows me won't believe I became a housewife so I can be a better wife. It is all about choices. We are better Christians, we go to church, pay our tithes, fast and pray, teach our children the way of the Lord now

So bro! Figure out if she has repented and mould her into the wife you want her to be. She's young, this is the best time to make her into the woman you want to spend the future with, if you really want to marry her.
Wow this your story made my day!!!

One of the generalized comments one sees daily that has no factual basis. I hope you are old enough to know our past before I spend precious time typing.

Tell me one single politician who moved to the APC and his corruption case was suddenly stopped in court?

Former governors Joshua Dariye(current APC Senator) and Jolly Nyame who defected have been convicted and are in jail now. Which governor did PDP govt convict?

Orji Uzor Kalu is still in court. Dariye recently sought APC ticket to return but was denied by the NWC for being a convict. Was it not under PDP that crooks were given party tickets and were winning elections from jail?

For the records, this govt has been more interested in recovering looted funds than in prosecuting looters. All those it charged to court like Metuh, Dokpesi, etc. were people who refused to return their loots. Same Metuh and Mama Piss who were initially stubborn later begged the EFCC to allow them return their loots, having seen that they had a tight case against them. The EFCC later refused.

As for looting, if its happening, at least half of it would be reported by online publishers. These days they are simply stuck with faulting this govt's compliance with procurement laws, as corruption has become scanty to report.
I had full ears reading on Premium Times and Sahara about the massive looting that happened daily under PDP era.

For electricity and general infrastructure, they are gradually getting fixed.
If you want videos of a public speaker, go and support Durotoye, not Atiku.

Buhari has had his shortcomings but I still prefer him by far to Atiku, and All Projects Completed by far to Projects Dumping Party.
It’s not like they’ve provided electricity, more jobs lost, more people suffering and poor. Tell me, when you hear Buhari speak on video, does he sound like someone who knows anything about managing the economy?

You didn't answer his question, you were just rambling about.

Electricity for were
Job many are lost
And the most heart breaking one is that people are suffering. In all my adult life, I have never witnessed the kind of suffering going on by people. And when you ask around, it is the same thing.

They said PDP were looters but there was plenty in the land, people were feeding and taking care of there family
APC took over, and unleashed unprecedented suffering on the common man.

Wait till February 2019

Nigeria's economy still suffocates under the burden of subsidy, PDP paid subsidy, apc is paying subsidy, and subsidy payments will continue by every govt until we get certain things right (especially when we fix our balance of trade problems and strengthen the Naira). Too bad, your mind was too politically charged, that's why you saw it all as politics.
Actually I am totally for the betterment of the common man.

You highlighted balance of trade problems
And Naira strengthening
But can an import dependent economy actually fix her balance of trade problems? Capital No
Then strengthening Naira, I personally believe that if we
fix our infrastructures
Produce more of our local goods

The low rate of Naira will even be beneficial to us coupled with our population. It will make the goods we produce cheap in the international markets, thereby beneficial to the nation.

But Nigeria's major challenge is that she has been bedeviled with horrible leaders.
Can't God bless us with like
Lee Kwuan Yeew of Singapore
or Mohammed Mahatir of Malaysia?

Why does Nigeria always end up with terrible leaders?

Nigeria on paper is laden with huge potentials of imaginable proportion, but she may never attain it because of bad leadership.

@lexy2014,

Maybe if you look at it from another approach. The image chart below shows global petrol prices in countries around the world. The comparison already includes a lot of taxes and 'other costs' in different countries so might not give a very good picture. But from the list, we can only just assume what the base price might be if the extra taxes are excluded. The only reason I put this up is to illustrate where the N145 Nigeria pays for petrol sits with other countries around the world; it is far below the global average of $1.17 and that's because of the subsidies and lower taxes we impose.

The main factor of production which drives the base cost of petrol is the prevailing crude oil price. Now of course if the Nigerian government starts refining Nigerian crude and selling to Nigerians, it can afford to easily sell that fuel for N80 (roughly $0.26) since the primary raw material (crude) used in its production wasn't paid for. But the point I've been trying to pass across is, IF the Nigerian government alternatively decides to sell that crude in the international market, or IF it decides to refine and sell PMS to these other over 150 countries where PMS sells for far above $0.26, will the Nigerian government make more profit or not?

If you agree that the Nigerian govt will make more financial benefits by selling the crude or the refined products internationally at average international market prices, do you agree now that the government will be giving up/foregoing/forfeiting the extra financial benefit if it sticks to selling the petrol to Nigerians at $0.26 (N80)?

Now you are giving fact like an intelligent person. Your chart shows that actually Nigeria wasn't doing bad.

What finished this continent is many decades of culture of quick money. People don't work hard anymore. Every one wants it very quick.

True wealth is long term not short term. If one focuses on longterm then the right foundation is laid. But when everybody is focused on quick money, who will be willing to put in the hard work, diligence and perseverance required especially in area of agriculture.
It is affecting every part of our life. Even the oil we produce in our country we still refine it abroad. Very terrible short term quick money mindset.

God's willing, we'll make it through this agriculture one day. Let them keep on importing.

Useless country!
I believe you just need to focus improving the quantity you produce. But to do that, you must mechanize your agricultural method and then acquiring huge land space.

This is the secret of most foreign farmers.
1. They are mechanised

2. They have very massive agricultural fields. One farmer can have fields bigger than one state in Nigeria.

And to do this requires massive funding. But our financial institutions don't fund this type of ventures. They want quick money.
So the nation and continent loses.
