Topmaike007:Why you come dey quote me? |
The only disappointment is kwara. The margins in bauchi and katsina is a good sign for PDP. If that's the margin the presidential elections will have then its great. As for saraki, the man fall hand seriously. You can't be rigged out of an election if you are much more popular than your opponent. He had better go and start begging kwara people if not, he should prepare to run out of Nigeria after the elections. But how people still vote APC is a wonder to me. I just can't understand. I was hoping that we as a people have gotten to a stage where we can start changing leaders for non performance, but it seems some people have a different idea on their political decisions. My own na if buhari win, the first question I will ask anyone who asks me for financial assistant is: who did you vote for? If its buhari, then my money no go enter your hand because you apparently signed a pact with hardship. Crazy Nigerians. |
The most sickening part of all this is that you still have people voting for APC. This goes to show that we are in a complete mess. How can any sane mind vote for APC at this point in time? What part of that person's mind is used for reasoning, the anus? My last hope in this nation is the ousting of Buhari in 2019. If he wins then |
Fierce11:Oga take it easy. Please let's not allow this political rivalry to rid us of our humanity please. |
engineerboat:Nice job Engr. Keep the results coming. Whoever wins wins. As for all those saying that result is fake where is your own? |
CowHard:If you are the writer of this piece then you must be a sycophant of the highest order. Are you an Enugu ezike indegene? I ask because if you are, you will not write the crap you put up there. Ayogu is the most useless senator to have represented a people. And all this recent social media hype will and cannot get ayogu the federal appointment he is hoping for if buhari returns to power. Of course you know that's what the whole governorship quest is all about because Ayogu himself knows that he cannot win his polling booth. So just collect whatever crumbs he has given you for image laundering and enjoy it. The so called road(federal government projec)was built to the front of his house and abandoned intentionally stopped by him. An unforgettable testimony of how wicked a human being can be, even to his very own people. Enugu ezike will never forget ayogu for that singular act. If you have the courage put you name and your village in your write up. You won't do that because you know that associating with ayogu where we come from is a political and social suicide. |
When people say Lagos is no mans land some other people go dey vex. Lai is casting his vote in kwara where he is from and his son is seated comfortably in Lagos State HOA as a small compensation for Laid from tinubu. |
agabusta:Bros there is no space behind again, even buhari can't take us back again. The only thing worse than were we are today is war. We are on the ground as a nation. |
etzskillz:BUHARIDEEN |
erinalex:I agree. Seems the only person talking about restructuring is Atiku. Buhari and Osinbajo says the discourse belongs to the dustbin. |
MrJah:I can bet he will not even vote. The guy is just hoping to make some noise so that buhari can give him federal appointment if he returns as president. |
mcbreeze:Ayogu na'cho federal appointment. |
jpphilips:The percentage may vary but the sale is necessary. Government should not have controlling shares. On funding budgets, right taxing is what funds budgets everywhere. Nigeria should not be different. |
erinalex:Do you think buhari planned to be as useless as this as a president? The structure does not allow for performance simple. Coupled with old age, lack of exposure, bad health and a high-level of nepotism buharis case became worse. Under the present structure of Nigeria no body can make any significant difference. |
chemK:I disagree with that completely. NEPA was a hopelessly hopeless organization. If we still had NEPA today, we would not have had up to 2000mw. Look the only thing left for these discos to work effectively is for the government to give a timeline to end estimated billing, and do their part in the transmission part. Do you know that of the 3 arms of the current power structure (Genco, Transmission, and Disco) it is the one with government involvement (transmission) that is the problem. Disco matter is a piece if cake. A legislation that will end estimated billing will end discos inefficiencies. |
Afamed:Nitel did not have the infrastructure to compete in the present telecom industry. Whoever bought Nitel bought name and buildings and the gateway in Enugu which I don't know it's purpose. The person just bought gbese for himself. The real issue just like you said is who do they sell it to? I sincerely do not trust Atiku to say he will be very prudent and sincere with the process but look the worst thing we can do as a country is to maintain status qou. I am willing to try anything and everything because there is nothing to lose. Every indices is clearly saying that Nigeria is on the ground, so why do we fear a fall? |
vineyardfarms:All these things you mentioned are good if only it is possible. But the truth is that in Nigeria, it is not. Corruption will not allow these things to happen. Our problem is corruption (theft, nepotism, tribalism, unpatriotism, quota system). These are the reasons government agencies don't work in Nigeria and you can't get rid of these things. But you don't see it in privately run companies. What is obtainable there is meritocracy and things work. |
simplycarro:Whoever bought Nitel did Nigeria a favor. What do you think Nitel would have become as we speak? Where is Nipost? How many letters have you received from them? Can you dare to send an important docunment to someone using Nipost? How much are they bringing into the purse? How much are they stealing ? The money realized from the sales of these government companies if not embezzled is far better than keeping a company that will remain unproductive and be an instrument of more and more corruption. We keep talking like anything works in this country. We have a problem of high level and unprecedented corruption in this almost God forsaken country. Tell me one thing that you can be proud of as a Nigerian? One thing you can point your finger to and say this is working? One government run establishment that is functioning optimally? None, Nothing, absolutely nothing. Nothing is working in Nigeria. The only way to get Nigeria to attempt to work again is to overhaul the damn country. You can't stop nigerians from being corrupt, you can only close avenues for people to execute corrupt practices. More money has been stolen from NNPC than has been realized by the government. And it will continue like that until the end of time. A 10% ownership of ioc run NNPC will be more profitable to the Nigerian people than this crap we have. Saudi Aramco though about 90% government owned is the most profitable company in the whole wide world for God's sake. NNPC should be at least 10% as profitable as that company but what do we have? A company consistently run by charlatans who are put there to do the presidents bidding, a board assembled by the president as political settlement. Staff strength assembled on quota system and anointing of the powers that be, how can anything run like that work? If Nigeria can realize $100b from the sale of NNPC, that money, even if 50% is embezzled, can increase our power generation by 100% and close major infrastructural gaps and get things working. On top of that, in the near future, the 10% stake of government would give the country more profit than the 100% stake us giving now. |
Beremx:Don't mind these people who don't understand a thing about business and how things get to work.how many years is covenant university? Yet its dusting U.I and UNN and unilag that has been there all these while. We couldn't run refineries and the whole nation is waiting on dangote to build his own. What of our secondary schools? How many of us can send our children to governnent owned secondary schools? Can you compare the commercial banks to the government owned banks in terms of efficiency and profitability? Hospitals? Telecoms? Nigeria Airways, Railways, Waterways, So what makes anyone think that nnpc is performing optimally? Atiku sell it, sha don't sell to yourself. If possible sell the highways and let investors put tolls in it under reasonable regulations, and you will see infrastructure - Build, Operate and Transfer - get this shithole working. |
Can you compare nnpc and LNG? If Nigeria as a nation can be sold and managed by foreigners under the regulation of a federal government its better. We cant run businesses as a country, its the private sectors that run things right. No nepotism or tribalism. Meritocracy us what rules. If the nnpc was sold along the others in objs time, as well as the refineries, we won't be in the mess we are in now. Atiku sell it. (But not to your self) |
I don't believe the jubrin story, but something must be wrong somewhere in Aso Rock. |
At the end of the day, the north shall decide who is president till 2023. We down here in the south can only support and the support is clearly mapped out and i dont see it changing before the elections Majority of the SW goes to APC and majority of the SE/SS goes to PDP. If Atiku is going to win this election he needs something very substantial from the NE/NW region which he can support with a slim win from the NC so he should go and do all his work there. If not, this tyrant will continue till 2023 except he dies and that's up to God to decide. |
Oblang:Igbo man has won 2 house of reps seat and house of assembly in lagos you dey here dey talk. Go to Oyo state and win it as a non Oyo man and see how far. |
jrusky:They see themselves as one indeed. Let any non indegene go to anyother sw state and become governor there and I will believe you. Simply put Lagos is no mans land. If an Igbo man or Hausa much richer than tinubu decides to run for governorship in Lagos, he stands a chance of winning. But have all the money in the world a non indegene cannot rule any other state in Nigeria. |
Lakunb:I guess you have forgotten that ffk also attacked reno |
Don't get it twisted, buhari is most likely to win kano but the percentage is the issue. Just like the okada man who is a buhari supporter, I know a scrap buyer from kano who was all sai baba in 2015 but not anymore. His now saying he is going for atiku. Just like some people have said all those that voted against buhari in 2015 are still gonna do same and a huge percentage of those that voted for him especially in the north are going to go against him. If atiku gets 40% support from the core north, buhari is toast no matter the rigging. |
vanbonattel:Has nairaland become partisan? Why is this not in the front page yet? |
The guy was using a tab and there was an issue with the device is that one goof? Can Buhari dare to use a tab to read a speech. People will just open there mouths and spill dust from it. |
Na wah o. This election na die o. Is it that some mods here are in the BMC or what? The owner of this platform should remain neutral. That's the only way this investment will outlive him. |
I don't blame buhari. He doesn't know jack about what is happening around him. So they tell him anything and he believes without anyform of verification. And Audu Ogbeh is another expired and tired product. How does anyone think the ministry of agriculture will do better under ogbeh than the quintessential adesina? Its a joke. As far as I can see, anyone voting buhari is committing a crime against the future of this country. |
Reference:Look there is nothing on earth you will say that will make buharis supporters understand anything you have written. However for the benefit of those who are undecided its good to explain things. Thumbs up! Honestly, I think a spell was cast on buharis supporters and handlers. Just imagine the type of comments these guys have been making since the thread started. They are totally empty. For me I think Nigeria is going to sink if buhari wins again honestly. |
Chai You read some peoples post and you wonder their level of understanding regarding how the economy works. Its these type of people that the president surrounded himself with and they are feeding him crap and our economy continues nosedive on a daily. HSBC is leaving your country and people are talking crap. A bank as large as HSBC is telling the whole world that Nigeria is bad business and these Buhari supporters are essentially saying good ridance to bad rubbish? Do they know the type of perception is it going to create in the minds of prospective foreign investors? What are buhari supporters made of? Are their brains empty or they are just lost or stupidly foolish? Does support mean you can't advice someone you support when he is not getting things right? |
