herlonso:I'm not into image laundering or tarnishing. We've had governments that have consistently failed us as Nigerians and the present one is the worst of them so far. If you would not take my word for it you can listen to what foreign interests say. Again I didn't say npower is bad, its not just an achievement. It is a welfare package though new. Does anyone take credit for maintaining NysC which benefits all graduates?, why should anyone boast about npower as an achievement. Does anyone boast about setting up idps? Npower is a palliative measure for a grossly underemployed youthful workforce. It is an "how for do" kind of thing, and I don't know the percentage of our unemployed populace that is benefitting from it. It is not an achievement. |
Anasko:My first job 7 months after graduation in 2007 was 163k per month in a bank. I was not as lucky as most of my peers. Most of them got better jobs than I did. This was possible because the economy was opening up massively under the so called dysfunctional PDP misrule. While npower is okay, it is irresponsible for any government to count it as an achievement. It is a walfare program not an empowerment program. Welfare programs are not achievements o, they are supposed to be obligations of government when needed. |

Peter obi mehnnn. Nwoke a bu aka-gum. When other politicians go just throw the money for air, peter don budget how much when Im go share they count am one by one. Anyways, being obidient and atikulate are keys to success. |
jpphilips:To be honest I can't trace the origin of Igbo's hatred for buhari. Python dance only increased it. I remember during the 2015 elections, buhari got about 13k votes (not to sure of the number) in my state Enugu, people were saying that the votes needed to be probed seriously. So the hatred has been there. I don't hate him though, I just knew he was incompetent. Again ekweremadu is not a factor. His followers hip in igboland starts and ends in his senatorial zone. IPOB fanatics are mostly unregistered voters. No Igbo man who has a PVC would miss an opportunity to vote against buhari. You can take that to the bank. IPOB is also not a violent group so they won't be on the roads blocking people from casting their votes. One more thing: IPOB strong hold is in Abia. Are you going to tell an anambra man not to vote? Leave matter people, Igbo's are not sheepish. I don't know if PDP will win the elections in 2019, but if they lose it certainly would not be due to voter apathy in the south east. |
blujoi:You guys don't understand the level of hatred an average Igbo man has for buhari. Nothing on earth will make Igbo's to have apathy towards casting votes against buhari. Is it the guys that there relatives have been killed by the army under buharis instruction or who? Show me one person who before the appearance of NK was atikulating but has changed his stance to boycotting elections |
What a lot of people don't understand is that while a lot of igbos embrace the idea of Biafra not many are fanatical followers of Nnamdi KANU. NK has a large youthful followership, but unlike most regions in Nigeria, an average Igbo youth has gone through primary and secondary school. So while they follow NK, they still have fairly independent minds. Fanatical NK followers across the southeast are not as much as many think, and I can assure you that most of them are not even registered voters anyway. A quick check is the last anambra guber election. So if APC is salivating that the emergence of NK would deplete pdps vote in the SE, they are absolutely wrong. In any case NK chose his words carefully and said what he ought to have said. For me I think throwing his weight behind atiku obi would be a better deal for buhari I can assure you. A lot of people don't understand the level of hatred an average Igbo man has for buhari. Nothing on earth will make Igbo's to have apathy towards casting votes against buhari, Nothing. Is it the guys that there relatives have been killed by the army under buharis instruction or those who feel the customs are out to ensure there businesses crumble, or those irked by the 97% 5% statement of buhari? Show me one person who before the appearance of NK was atikulating but has changed his stance to boycotting elections since NK made his speech. |
Honestly, saraki , dogora and the rest of them were fortunate to have left APC when they did. Na dogora lucky pass sef cause he took a longer time to do. If they remained in APC, they would all have been former politicians as we speak. Shehu sani is not as intelligent as he appears. Poor guy. |
Ovamboland:Clear his name from what exactly? From money stolen or murders he committed or stockpiling arms or what exactly? There are many haters if Nnamdi KANU in Nigeria and naialand, but I'm yet to see such a ridiculous statement from any of them. You must be a compendium of foolishness for this statement you made. Do you have any content within the walls if your skull? |
Why all the fuss? Igbo's are not stupid. IPOB declared no election during anambra elections, but what effect did it have? There are just a few Igbo's that will not do anything possible to get buhari out of power. |
Na wah o. I think buhar's strategists are inept. This originally is an opportunity for Buhari to lay some form of credence to the anti corruption fight, but sense is lacking in that camp. All he needs to do is to facilitate gan-dollar-dujes impeachment through the HOA and prosecute the guy. Obasanjo would have done just that. |
COURT!!!!! I RISE!!!!!!! Cry me a RIVER ! PDP?! Never again!!
I don't understand you. As much as I am a PDP apologist I will always want. APC to remain strong. Nations are better of with a strong political system, and political systems are strong when at least 2 strong parties exist. Do you ever think of the future. Let's even say that buhari and all other APC leaders are excellent in performance but destroy opposition, what if tmrw terrible men hijack the party structure how would they be removed? Please, while we support those we wish to support, anyone who wishes the best for the future of this country and the humans in it should not support the annihilation of opposition in a democracy. |
Wantedmiller:Are we really interested in a better country? This pattern of your thought cannot rid Nigeria of corruption. The only thing that can rid Nigeria of corruption among public office holders are nonpartisan fully independent antigraft agencies. EFCC has been restricted to being a yahoo yahoo fighting agency and an attack dog for any government In power. Same as icpc, CCB and the rest. Buhari would have been a true anti corruption hero if he could establish laws that would penalize EFCC and the rest for not prosecuting perceived corrupt public office holders. All these one they are doing is all rubbish. Obaanjo did worse, corruption increased. Corruption is still on the increase even in this government. |
blackpanda:I agree with you. The truth is that the EFCC can delay anything on his bail until he goes to court. The court can grant him bail. The problem is will Buhari allow him go? As for me I have gained nothing from any politician. My pursuit is a better country. When judgement is selective, its as good as lawlessness. Sentiments are whipped up and criminals go unpunished. That's the Nigerian situation. |
OneCorner:There is a song that became popular in west Africa because of its nuisance value. The title us your username. It is obvious your nuisance value is at per were the that of the song. |
yarimo:I hope you are going to be prepared when injustice is metted out on you because it surely will at some point. Fayose is most likely corrupt but he is entitled to bail until a court declares him guilty. So if he is held without being granted bail as soon as possible, it is injustice. Anyone who seeks the good of mankind in general must always be on the side of right judgement and justice. If Buhari turns this to a payback for fayose's criticism by holding him unduly, then he is not fit to be a nation's President. Na children dey do dat kin thing. |
walex2:If the governor supports one party and marafa, who has proved that he is strong enough to battle the governor supports another, who do you think will win? All PDP needs to do is to substitute the name of some legislator candidate's with a few people from the Marafa camp and issa goal |
The choice before Nigerians in 2019 is a simple one. Nigerians have a choice of electing a lively candidate with a record of providing 50,000 jobs to Nigerians in his private capacity versus the lifelessness (apologies to President Donald Trump) of a candidate under whom Nigeria lost 11 million jobs and became the world headquarters for extreme poverty. Buhari is finished This statement needs to go viral. There is no need for further campaign. I AM ATIKULATED |
Nemesis001:Nwanne, what you have said makes sense, but the PDP has to take that chance. Now if we vote or not vote for APC, they are still going to give it to the yorubas in 2023. But there could be a chance of splitting SW with a PDP VP candidate from SW. The state the VP candidate comes from will definitely swing towards pdp and that's why I recommend a Lagosian. VP seat cannot get us the presidency, supporting APC cannot give us the presidency aswell, only loyalty to a party can if the party finds itself in power. Beyond all this, if Buhari does another 4 years, he may cause irreparable damage that it wouldn't even matter if the president is from my hometown. So taking power from Buhari is of primary importance. Everything else including igbo VP or president comes a distant second. |
Nemesis001:Atiku should chose a vice from the sw simple. The Ibo's stand a better chance at the presidency with an Atiku presidency. Buhari will never hand over to an igbo man. It can never happen. He knows igbos hate him with passion and he hates igbos as well, and we don't care. In the same way Atiku cannot be president without significant votes from the SW. So if igbos are interested in securing the presidency, it can only happen through the PDP. The igbos have been loyal to PDP since inception of the 4th republic and will surely be rewarded with the presidency when power returns to the south if PDP wins next year. But this can only happen if significant votes come from SW. My counsel for PDP is to chose a Lagosian. A Lagosian as VP will seal Lagos for PDP. Osun will go to PDP and the rest will be shared perhaps tilting more to APC but with Lagos in the box, PDP will win the SW and that will go a very long way to secure the seat for PDP. Let the igbos take a chill. APC will not give igbos the presidency even if we give them all the votes from anambra to ebonyi. |
jhydebaba:Oga voting was done with since 11 a. m. The pattern of voting is stand behind your preferred candidate's poster. It takes a few minutes to count no matter the number. |
Neyoor:Ambode is long gone. What he is doing is to drag the other men down as well. So it's like: I am not going down alone. |
Racoon:My guy, an average Nigerian has no principles. I guess when tinubu and the rest were fighting Abacha, we thought: what men of valor. Today, they are in power and are doing exactly what Abacha did, even worse. With all that APC has done, what do you think is going to happen if PDP mistakenly gets power again? Your guess is as good as mine. Nigeria needs divine intervention for any change to take place. Without a divine touch, Na so we go dey observe the same bullsht year in year out, till we get old and die. Nigeria Needs A Miracle. |
This is the reason Nigeria is were it is, and may never be coming out of the mess it is in. Who would believe a few years back that Keyamo can call what happened in Osun state victory for democracy? Who would believe that the once respected and perhaps most popular labour leader in Nigeria's history could champion such an illegallity? The truth is that many People crying foul toda Will bê in support of APC if they were in the mainstream of APC politics. If Adeleke were in omisore's shoes, he most certainly would have done what Omisore did. If PDP were to be the ruling party, they would have done exactly what APC did. In fact an obasanjo would have concluded the election on Saturday, with a wide margin and tell you to go to hell. The only reasonably different person was Jonathan an accidental leader, with a history of not being power hungry. Not a conventional politician. His stance during the last election has returned us to the real Nigerian system, albeit under a different party, with the same people. An average Nigerian has no principle. He is governed by his stomach (parochial and mundane intetest). Doing things for the overall betterment of people is alien to the average Nigerian. |
Most of you typing here will do exactly the same thing if you were in his shoes. To tell you the truth, even the politicians know that the country is dead, so it's every man for himself. Me first, others can go and die. Self centeredness is the name of the game. |
That's why he is in otuoke rather than Aso Rock as we speak. He believed in the Nigerian project, and that's the foolery of most southerners. On the other hand, most northerners (except a few though) of which Buhari is the Chief of the adherents, believe in the Northern project. They have already ceaded Nigeria to themselves, while Nairaland, a good representation of the southern youths and owned by a southern youth have a topic pinned on the top end of its political section saying Nairaland Says No to Secessionist. |

kunmiiii:No boss, even in the business world writes his speech, or memo. They are written by trust worthy staff who have learnt over the period they have worked with their bosses, how their bosses think. When they are done writing, a draft is given to oga to check if it meets his expectations. A few backs and forth between the writer and Oga, before Oga appends his signature on the final document which he believes communicates his thoughts best. That's the way it works everywhere. If you consider the amount of time it takes to write these things (sometimes a whole day or more) you will understand why Oga cannot write it. |
