Chuwaa: Guys, last night I set destination trip back home to island and I was given a trip to Freedom park. Before dropping, I got another trip ear Obalende, I just canceled abd Uber asked me to verify my face. It couldn't work. This evening again, I tried setting destination back to the island and same issue persisted. I've tried snapping severally and at different luminance to no avail. Must I go to their office to rectify? My Cancellation rate is just 20%, acceptance 100% This your 20% us quite worrisome bro. Uber blocked me when my cancellation rate was just 4%. I had to do an online course before I could use my account again. Someone here also said they blocked him when his cancellation rate was 11%. Check your mail to see whether you've a message from them. |

Guys I had a terrible experience yesterday, at mushin end of ladipo street.
I was dropping off a rider, didn't know that cult boys were Fighting.
All of a sudden people started running, then I saw boys coming out from a street on my left (50metres ahead). I tried to make a sharp turn to a street on my right but I have passed the street a little bit so I needed to go back a little before I can turn in cos there are bikes parked at that junction. Immediately I engaged reverse, one of them started approaching me with a big stainless Cutlass. I moves back with speed not knowing that Keke is already at my back trying to run into the same street with me and had to hit him. When they boys saw what was happening, they all started running towards me (about 20+ boys, all with glittering machetes) I had to drive into the street like that, hitting one bike into the gutter. I ran to the end of the street and saw that the street is blocked, I and my rider just ran away to diff direction not knowing that they have stopped chasing me.
When they moved to another street and people started coming back from their hiding points. I came out and saw that they went straight to the sienna that was coming behind me when I made the turn. Then man jumped down and ran away too. They broke all the glasses on that car ( the windscreen front and back and all the glasses).
I saw the bike I hit into the gutter, it's bent on an Angle 45°. The owner came to me and said Oga I no blame you for what happened, I know you were running for your life. That he will not ask me to fix the bike for him cos he equally left the bike there and ran away. That I should give him just 1k, he will complete it and fix his bike.
This was a terrible experience. I went down to Domino's at ilupeju, parked and went into a deep sober reflection for over an hour.
Had I not escaped, what would have been my faith? |

donfortune48: Me walking into any Petrocam, Mobil, Hayden, Northwest, Forte oil, non-franchised NNPC or TOTAL. My rule this days when buying fuel. 1.I must look at the metre from the start till finish. Even if they're talking to me, I'll be looking at the metre as I reply. 2. If I tell you to fill my tank or put 4k or 5k fuel for me, and you went and put 1k or 5h saying that that's what you heard. I won't buy again and I won't pay for it. Unless they waive it off for me. 3. Before I buy, I always check my metre. If the fuel I bought didn't get to my expected gauge, forget it, I can only enter your fuel station to wait for request next time. ...will never buy from there again. 4. If I tell you to press 5k on the metre and you started filling without inputting the amount on the machine, you have a lot to explain to me. 5. If I tell you to input 5k on the machine and you did, but later along the line I saw 5k blinking on the machine and you said you've finished selling 5k fuel to me, you must call your manager or you complete my fuel for me. I've learnt a lot from experience buying fuel. If you like be the best fuel station on earth, once it's not a conventional name, I'm not buying from you. |

izzou: Firstly, he didn't beat the kids, neither did he meet their parents and told them they failed in parenting. He cautioned them to behave and told US here how people are failing in parenting.
Secondly, his car is not a SCHOOL BUS. Uber did not give him any form to fill for misbehaving kids, neither did Uber tell riders to misbehave in the car whenever they request a ride
If the ride was from Lekki to Alausa, and the driver couldn't bear the disturbances anymore at Oworo, are you asking him to turn back at Ifako and head back to Lekki? Since it's unprofessional to talk or correct people's kids?
Be realistic sir. That has always been my turn off with opinions here sometimes. He is carrying children for heaven's sake.

But I don't think Taxify should be encouraging such long hours...They should be concerned about the guy's health That's one good side of Uber. You don't drive more than 12hrs. |
