though i am a christian but i can relate with your frustration when you hear people saying things that are just not true. My advise to you since you are from an islamic society is to use a liberal interpretation of the koran and some common sense argument to make your point, that way nobody will suspect you of being an atheist even when they disagree with you and some will even find your message to be fresh and attractive due to its islamic packaging.

My brother, more prayers will not help the situation any better than all the wasted hours currently spent on prayers. we have been praying for a better nigeria and the situation has been worsening over time even with more prayers, so asking for more of the same ineffectual remedy and hoping for a different outcome is an indication of stupidity which is unfortunate but even more unfortunate for the country is the fact that people of your mindset make up a large majority of the population.

A God of love and justice can never think of something as wicked as eternal torture. The truth is that most people that believe that wicked people will be tormented in a fiery hell for all eternity do not understand what it say about the nature of their god.

My dear brother in christ, i have subjected myself to the overwhelming power of the holy spirit for wisdom and guidance concerning the authenticity of dr. Sign Fireman, i prayed and prayed harder until the answer came to me quite unexpectedly through a vision. The lord showed me a herd of malnurished sheep grazing on this field with very little vegetation and in there midst is this sheep no different from the others except that it was looking well fed and had a certain determination and self awareness around its eyes standing very alert as if it was watching over the flock just like a leader would. Then suddenly in an instant too quick for the eye to follow, it struck down one of the malnurished sheep and ravenously devoured its flesh and bones.
I was just about to ask God the meaning of this very frightful and unnatural event when i beheld the well fed sheep metamorphed into dr. Sign Fireman and i caught the lords voice in loud whisper from the blowing wind say wolf in sheep clothong.

Were you there when the child got missing and followed the case until the child was found or you just accepted the story as fact. Be wary of these men of god because the tell a lot of made up stories.

A church service on the other hand can go on all night... all through the weekend when you are supposed to be home.... If you take transport to work, you are forced to listen to those bus preachers whether you like it or not... It is far worse...

If you talk to the right people in the mosque, maybe there can use internal speakers for the prayer and only use the external speaker for the call to prayer.

@Olaadegbu: going by the broadest definition of a christian, Obama is as qualified as you are to be called a christian, but when we apply the very strict and narrow definition, it becomes very hard if not impossible for two or more group of people to agree on who can be called a christian due to the high degree of subjectivity involved in making such determination. E.g a member of the church of christ would not attend your church because he might not think you measure up to his standard. Similarly you would not attend jehovah's witness church because you don't think that they are christian since the do not accept the trinity doctrine that you hold so dear and the reverse applies to jw's as well. So too the 7th day adventist do not see you as a christian for your failure in observing the proper sabbath. I could go on and on but you get the point.
So next to you accuse someone of not being a christian know that some other people myself inclided do not think that you are a christian going by the very strict definition. You are an uncompasionate blood sucking tithe preaching pharisee.

By his handling of this incidence he has clearly shown to any right thinking person that he is nothing but a narcissistic sob, he never for once showed empathy to the Eleng family nor did he go out of his way to enssure that all available asset was brought to bare in the search for the little girl soon after she was abducted. Instead he was engaging in damage limitation to protect his brand and image by interfering with the police, lying that he sensed no evil and trying to obfuscate the location and other details of the abduction ruining whatever little chance that was left of the girl being found to virtually zero in the process.

Count me as one of the christians that see him as a quack scientist without any proper grounding in basic elementary biology. To have stated that in his twenty odd years he hasn't seen a cat evolved shows the depth of his ignorance, even i that never went to a university knows that evolutionary changes is said to span millions of years.
