@David

You are a glory hunter o. First Nalbandian, then Nadal.

It seems u are always after the next hot thing. tongue

Anyways you do Djokovic a disservice in my opinion. If you rate Murray on the strength of his shot selection
I wonder why you would choose to discount Djokovic. If you call him a grafter, what would you call Davydenko. A voluntary slave.

Djoko has a phenomenal forehand and a very capable backhand. His serve like Nadal needs a lot of work though.

I just feel he has a solid serve. For all Nalbandians bulk, his serve I don't think is the ish.

He is good at the net(I hope), whereas Nalbandian can't be bothered.

And I don't think his backhand is at a disadvantage compared to Nalbandian's either. Good solid two hander.

@Davidylan

Murray-not athletic. how many times i go talk am.

Gasquet-a beautiful backhand but nothing else to make me go wow

Berdych plays hard and fast with a lot of control.

A woman doesn't have to obey ishhh if she dont want to and no moral code should demand that she should.

@Debosky.

You are trying to be magnanimous and maintain 'the natural order of things' at the same time.
There is a tension between both positions to be honest.

You dont mind successful women but if that makes them think they can boss you around. . .
Well you have already bared your mind to be honest.

I can imagine you just ready to pounce if you notice any sign of your woman usurping your 'natural' position
as the 'head' of the household should she have proved successful.

As long as you maintain the mindset harking to a 'natural order of things', it derives that you will play power politics in
your household.

@Kobo junkie.

It is definitely a problem, but obviously it is not responsible for the poor state of our general economy.

Besides
Nigeria is conspicuous amongst the Oil producing countries for a high population-oil revenues ratio.

the middle eastern states have far smaller populations and generate more revenues from their oil,
so they are literally awash with cash.

An oil/gas exporting country comparable to Nigeria in terms of population, Russia, also has significant problems with income disteibution, because
the money has to go round far more people than say the Saudi's 40- 40 million.

I don't see what holding gold will do in the present configuration.

Hoarding gold is largely a defensive move cause it is reckoned to be
a good storer of value in uncertain times.

@Banderas

I really don't understand what match u lot were watching.
How can Hleb going off have been a bad thing? He was so clearly overmatched in
the physical game. Clear example-----He got shrugged off the ball by Brown for Utd's first goal.

Up till then Rosicky had played brilliantly defensively and offensively against Brown and Ronaldo. I
still cant believe he outjumped Ronaldo for a header.

Na wa o. Please give credit to whom it is due. Last week Hleb was imperious, this week
he was out of the races.
Politics › Re: How Is Our Foreign Reserves Helping Us by doyin13(m): 6:06pm On Nov 03, 2007
@I-man

Mazaje's proposition is not unreasonable at all. There is nothing wrong in spending money if it will affect productivity
positively. As a matter of fact, if our main problem is an over reliance on oil, isn't it sensible that the money be spent to help
disversify the economy.

Domestic productivity is very low because of the poor roads, telecommunications, transport and general infrastrucuture.
Inflation is a demon in such circumstances because inevitalby the balance of wealth is so heavily skewered at small industrial centres.

It is the classic economist's dilemma. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Personally I subscribe to Keynesian economics, which is very much concerned with the short term cause in the 'long run we are all dead'.

The only disincentive to spending in the Nigerian context are the leakages that our corrupt politicians create.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 5:22pm On Nov 03, 2007
I was quite impressed with Man Utd defensively especially from Anderson
who i presumed would be a defensive liability. He proved me wrong.

And at moments in the second half when Man Utd expanded they looked like they
would cause the Gunners defense problems.

Well you still defend Apache, this time using Giggs lack of supply. lol
I thought both of them were poor to be honest.

Rooney is the ishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. For real. And Tevez hasn't got anything on him
at all.

Would Nani have played better than Giggs against Sagna. Hmmm. . .I would doubt it.
Nani is a bit lightweight to begin with. . .Anyway that's by the by.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 5:05pm On Nov 03, 2007
@Jackal

I hope you are being sarcastic. HLEB WAS OUTSTANDING?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you for real. He was outmuscled by almost everyone. His only contribution
although it was telling was to hold the ball up and release timely for Arsenal's first goal.
Apart from that he struggled. It was he not Eboue that should have been replaced by Walcott.

Fabregas had his usual controlling if not penetrating game. He was less incisive than against Liverpool
but that says more about Liverpool than it says about Fabregas. He is still an outstanding player.

Strangely you have been silent about your beloved APACHE. I remember you saying he was a BIG MATCH PLAYER.

I bet he wishes UTD played the likes of Villa and Boro every week. tongue tongue

@Dinnozo

That goal was never Sagna's fault. He is good, but not good enuff to mark two players at once.

Walcott was on Evra, and he went to sleep when he should have gone with his runner. If he had Evra wouldn't
have been in so much space.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by doyin13(m): 4:56pm On Nov 03, 2007
And why is everyone castigating Adebayor. He held up the ball well at various instances in my opinion.

I dont know if any player except the very best could have done better. It was always going to be a challenge
against Vidic and Ferdinand, but I thought he posed enough questions. It was Hleb who was meant to be supporting him
that really found it tough today. He just couldn't stand up to the physical challenge.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 4:48pm On Nov 03, 2007
Jackal:
Ronaldo was kept quiet but i would still make him the man of the match by miles.
His assist led to the 1st goal plus he got anutha one . . . . .Those were the key moments in the game and he got involved in em.
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Jackal how far now.

On the gunners thread you were very silent on Ronaldo's contribution o when it suited you,
but here you make him man of the match by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anderson had some brilliant tackles but he hardly offered much going forward if you noticed. That
was because both he and Hargreaves had to deal with Flamini and Fabregas. Despite that Fabregas played
well and he had his moments.

Rooney was Man of the Match in my opinion. Of the three vaunted Scummies, he seemed the only one
to have a clue.

@dinozzo

It just shows how much you know about Football.

How can you say Sagna was shyte. He looked the best athlete on the field.
Made Giggs largely ineffective, and is one of the few I have seen stand up to Rooney physically.

I am looking forward to the rematch at OT now.

Especially to see how Fergie plays it. His team were not cavalier today and played
pretty deep.

I wonder if he will let them loose at OT.
Politics › Re: How Is Our Foreign Reserves Helping Us by doyin13(m): 4:11pm On Nov 03, 2007
Fact is government should not spend a penny in my opinion.

Public accountability is very poor.

and spending in a sharp burst will only lead to inflation. Wages will not prolly increase as fast as prices
and it is the working man that will suffer the consequences.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by doyin13(m): 4:05pm On Nov 03, 2007
Today I was proved right about one United player and wrong about the other.

Tevez, Tevezza, Apache or whatever iS. . .SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT !!!!!!! Like Hleb for Arsenal he struggled against
a physical defence. Come to think of it, so did Ronaldo.

Anderson was simply brilliant defensively, although at a cost to his attacking game. I always knew he was physically
strong and quick but I wonder how effective he would have been if the game was more open.

On Others. . .

Saha but for his injuries is a gem. He stretches defences, holds the ball up. Why anyone would think Tevez is a better
option than a fully fit Saha is beyond me (Jackal take note)

Rooney is still Utd's best attacking player by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Any game, any set of circumstances, he is the ishhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Vidic is slowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Wenger should have exposed his lack of pace by sticking Walcott on him
and not Evra in the second half.

I think we had the two best left backs in the Prem playing today. . . .Word to Ashley Cole.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (Old) by doyin13(m): 3:56pm On Nov 03, 2007
Wenger showed his lack of tactical nous today again.

All his substitutions were woeful in my opinion. I could see the profit in bringing Walcott
in but for Hleb who struggled physically against the defenders rather than for Eboue on the
right where Arsenal had a lot of balance. Plus Eboue is one of the taller Gunners against a pretty hefty
Utd team. What do you know Evra drifts past Walcott to assist Ronaldo.

The other substitutions also managed to fracture the cohesiveness that the Gunners had showed hitherto.

But I guess it shows the strength of the team that they managed to hang tough for a draw.

Lest I forget, I think Toure bringing the ball up the field is a ploy the Gunners should not be afraid of using.
Man Utd played pretty deep at times and the central defenders bringing the ball up was quite succesful.

@Davidylan

I actually think Robredo has gone has far as his talent can take him.
He has fulfilled his potential to the max.

Davydenko has more issues on his mind. He prolly bet on himself to lose

Murray I wish could be top 5 material. I doubt his athleticism though

Well I would expect Gasquet to beat Blake 9 out of 10

Berdych I still think, given more mental strength, is no 1 material. Has all the tools anyway,
more than Nalbandian as Octopus thinks.
