Darn and Blast!!!!!!!!!!!

the hornets lost. Tony Parker really took Chris Paul to school last night.

Well he is about the only Spur I can stand. angry angry angry Its only the first meeting. Lets hope this doesn't lead
to a Hornets collapse though.

The Celts are the lone unbeaten team in the league right now. Lets hope this team is not blooming too early.
It would be a great sporting story if they could go all the way.

Other teams that have impressed me--------The Magic and shock horror shocked shocked shocked :oThe Lakers are proving better than advertised.

@J-girl.

Do you think LSU will make it to the championship game.?

@A-40

The Mavs were lucky to come away with a victory last night, I heard.

And you must remember Stephen Jackson wasn't playing, and he was the primary reason
Dirk was ineffective in the playoff series.

BTW, I wonder if anyone can beat Jason Terry to the sixth man award this season. He is almost a sure banker.

I also think Devin Harris is a better point guard all round, although JT will always put up the big numbers.

The Hornets went to Staples and ran away with a major victory on th back of Peja's 10 3's.

Oh lest I forget C-Paul dished out 21 assists.

They are looking a real tight unit right now, with Paul, Peja, D-West and Chandler.

I really do hope they go far, cause they play in a ravaged city which needs all the giddy up it can get.

When reading any of
soyinka's works, u'll need to have a dictionary
close by and will even have to re-read it to get the picture while Achebe writes in a simpler style, if you have to read Achebe's work again, it'll be because the story is so captivating and you just got hooked, know what i mean?

I am no wordsmith, but I have never had a problem dealing with the ''big words'' that everyone seems to accuse Soyinka of employing.

Its his train of thought that I tend to find a challenge. Unlike Achebe who is very simple and almost straight to the point, Soyina always has
some hidden delights in every crevice of his writing. . .

And that is why he is my favourite. . .I recommend the Interpreters.

Well after hearing everybody's comments, it seems I am in the minority of one amongst those who thought Hleb was out of his depths yesterday.

He was physically pushed around, unlike Rossicky who I thought was superb offensively and defensively. He at least looked a threat.

Hleb more than most in the Arsenal team needs time on the ball. He uses his low centre of gravity to achieve this feat, but yesterday he was simply out of his
elements. . .

Someone please tell me they agree with me, cause I am getting real loony o. . .

A-40

The season has started but is largely in its infancy.

Surprise Surprise, the Lakers are proving quite good so far. Got beat in the first game by T-Mac and the Rockets
then went to PHOENIX and opened a can of whoop ass on the Suns. They have had some strong play from Andrew Bynum at Centre
and he is going to have to step up in a major way to take the Lakers anywhere.

But I am loving the Hornets men. They are currently 3-0 and Chris Paul, my favourite PG in the whole world is leading this team like a vet.
To say the boy has made the stepup from his days at Wake forest is like stating the obvious and he is so down to Earth.

The Bulls have proved a disaster. I know lots of you over here were pushing them as contenders, but I always knew their Achilles Hee
would come to haunt them. Their offense is a spluttering battered jalopy. Ben Gordon is their ofensive threat and he is not even a starter!!!!!1

Miami needs D-Wade the way I need sex, and Shaq looks like he has been having way too much sex after splitting with his wife. grin

Boston beat the Raptors with 3 secs to go on a Ray Allen 3. Didnt watch the match but I am not too impressed with a close call against what one
would presume a lesser team. But early on, you can se the benefits of having three stars. Pierce had an off night but Allen and KG were able to pick up the
slack. There are 2-0

More analysis later. My fingers are hurting. . . sad grin

Anderson, better than Cesc? huh huh huh Gibberish galore from the mancs
I don't think Anderson is better than Fabregas either.

Fabregas is the best midfielder in the Premiership at the moment in my opinion, Gerard or no Gerard. And
that was before he started banging the goals in this season.

Anderson I dont think has the same poise on the ball like Fabregas.

This man was a huge figure in my growing up as I am sure he was in countless others.

The classic 'Akin the Drummer boy' ranks alongside 'Without a Silver spoon' as one of my favourite
childhood stories.

I guess the description ''forefather of the City novel'' couldn't be more apt. I can't think of a better
expose on Lagos City Life, especially of the 70's and 80's than the Jagua Nana books. His legacy is
enshrined just for the furore which emanated from the publishing of those works.

A true great. . .
