Nigerias economy crashed because of the oil price crash.Not Buhari's fault.

Now oil price is rising and the economy is also crawling out of recession.Simple economics?

Now when the exhange rate was 178(using your mishievous figure)how much was the price of oil per barel?average of 115dollars.

So when oil price crashed to 40dollars what do expect?Whereas during GEJ era,the Naira was being defended through our foreign reserves.

By elementary mathematics(not economics that considers other factors) the exchange rate would be around 512.

Interestingly,this tallied with the average rate then.CBN intervention and other factors have now brought down the rate.

Still using elementart Maths,@62dollars per barel of oil and using your 178 figure as a base,the exchange rate now should be around N330.Not too far from reality

Do not forget that the exchange rate is proportional to dollar oil revenue.Very sad,but not Buhari's fault.

The crash in naira value means you would need more naira to buy the things you consider cheaper hitherto,especially the imported ones.locally made goods would also bear higher prices because of the higher prices of inputs.
