mysticwarrior:Stop peddling beer parlor talk. I trade forex. Even in the face of the pandemic in the US, dollar continues to be king in forex market and it’s rate continues to get strengthen against every other major currency in international market everyday. What does that tell us? It means the US economy is the greatest economy in the world right now. So it reflects in their currency. Dollar strength is the function of the economy it’s subject to and not it’s use by any country. Other countries using dollars as a means of international transaction started after world war 2 when countries were looking for stable currency for trades between countries. And dollar has proved to be the most stable currency ever since then. They didn’t do that to help American economy because their action didn’t help America in any way rather their own economy devastated by the war: |
So at what age should he/she go back home? The ideal time for one to travel out is between 18-25yrs. Round off their journey in the next 15-20 yrs, by then he/she is like 40-45 yrs old with spouse and children. The children should be raised in Nigeria and allowed to finish their secondary school, so they could learn the culture. The man/woman should then finally settle back in Nigeria by then (40-45yrs) and just go abroad for visiting. This prolonged abroad thing has a very adverse ending for old people. Wroooonnnggg!!!!... |
oilyngbati:No sane 40 year old doing well abroad will ever start planning to go back to Nigeria except it’s the work of village people. |
As for racism and America. We black people have made significant level of progress to the extent of becoming a US president. But as for China and racism. China will take us black people back 200 years into racism. We have gone too far from where we started from in fighting racism. We have achieved significant level of victory . We can’t afford to start over again with China as if we are still in 1870. That’s where romancing with China will take us as a people. #SayNoToChina |
lagdmark:Every country puts it interests first. So that’s is normal about every country. But to say Americans and China are the same. Hell no! No one can sue Chinese government policies in China court and win. But you can sue American government over its policy and win and still be awarded millions of dollars as damages. Go and work in Chinese company and come back to tell us your experience All of you supporting China that has no regard for human rights and dignity are ignorant |
nlPoster:America sends relief materials to places around the world. So they need to send along Americans that will share the materials to people on the street right? The way so of you so called intelligent people reason baffles me. Who provides the materials is the most important thing. To mobile local Chinese for distribution paying them some change I think is not a big problem to deal with |
davillian:Thats how China would treat the world at large if it ever becomes world number one. If Chinese citizens don’t have any rights or say over their communist government, why would any sane person think China will treat him any better |
Cocao:The message is not for you if getting married is not on your bucket list. Here whether Canada or US, Nigerian ladies better come with your husband from Nigeria. The competition for men here from way more beautiful foreign women is high. Men here hate marriage, besides, they are in very short supply . Too many women way more beautiful than you are single |
I do say it. Don’t come to the US as a lady if you are not coming with your spouse. Don’t come here and be a part of the number of single ladies and baby mamas. It’s an uphill task getting a man here. You are better of getting one back home |
Jack500:China took over Sri Lanka’s port and 55,000 acres of land around the port in 2018 for the next 99 year to pay back loan owed to China. Research it if I’m lying. The port of Mombasa Kenya is currently in the verge of being taking over by China maybe for the next 99 years too due to Kenya struggling to pay back her debt to China. What about Zambia? Zambia is under debt burden from China. It’s risking China taking over its national electricity company (their own NEPA) due to being caught by China’s loan trap. I pray they don’t lose their national assets like Sri Lanka. Uganda too is worried right now about China seizing its national asset for 99 years to pay what they own China. China doesn’t care about you. It doesn’t even care about its own citizens. It’s own citizens are like properties of the communist party state. Is that the kind of world leader I want in my generation? Hell No! China just giving you it’s baits. Any developing countries that fall for it is just another puppet in the hands of China. The Bible says a borrower is a slave to the lender. I am yet to see a country that has its national assets taken away because it owes a debt to a Europe or America. Instead they are forgiven their debt. But I have seen it with China. Research about just those few countries I mentioned about their debt to China. They better pay on time or lease their assets to China free for 99 years. I know you don’t want China to take over Apapa port to pay our debt. Nigeria may not go that route because Nigeria is still richer than those countries. Go and research “China debt trap” how China is using loans to put developing countries under its yokes. Then indirectly controlling their economy through Chinese exports. |
Jack500:The Britain that joined this shithole bla bla bla.... A typical backward Blackman way of reasoning. Only blaming the past for his woes and refuse to handle the present and move forward into the future . Keep on the British blame game and your trash talk. I clap for you while the Chinese is taking folks that reason like you into future economic slavery/subjugation. Chinese have been taking over Africans key economic Institution. Taking over sea port, airport for failure of the countries to pay back the cost of Chinese infrastructure in their countries. Chinese build this and that. On whose Bill? You think it’s free of charge right? Well... For you info. They are paying for it. Whether in terms of loans that will tie them to Chinese apron for life or in terms of leasing their national assets to China for the next generation . That’s economic slavery. Black Africans mortgaging their countries to China in exchange for infrastructure. The story of esau and Jacob comes to mind. |
Jack500:We are talking about a whole country China, but you are talking about Trump. Trump is not America. He won’t spend more than eight years in office. Blacks are already integrated into American society doing great things up to becoming a president of America. Chinese hate you despite you leaking their ass. They are the greatest racist. Even in your own Nigeria, Chinese don’t want you in their restaurant and you are cool with that because you are mentally enslaved. The other time Chinese government wanted to lessen rules on their immigration policy to allow people with special talents live in their country, Chinese citizens flooded the social media chanting they don’t want blacks, nigger, monkeys in their country and they don’t want white pigs in their country. That blacks will take their women. Can you imagine dirty Chinese calling you monkey and white people, white pigs. Even Chinese are racist against white people. Who else can beat that? Other races only show bigotry. If China were world power, you would know that European racism is a child play. America and European countries are giving aides to developing countries. But China is giving developing countries loans they can’t pay back to mortgage their countries and their children’s children and take away their institutions, sea ports, air ports as collateral |
Mizwisdom:Anyone with underline health condition or over sixty years is more vulnerable to being kill faster by corona virus than others . The virus kills faster people with underline health condition. Says medical experts in the US. Most victims of Coronavirus in the US are old people and people with pre existing medical conditions like diabetes, heart disease, obesity etc. So NCDC is spot on |

mrphysics:. We don’t even have 4G yet in Nigeria. Mtn and the likes scamming us embellishing 3G as 4G. We are yet to have true 4G in Nigeria. So let’s have that first before mtn come again giving us 4G and say it’s 5G |
HenryThegreat1:I hope your acknowledge the original writer wherever you paste. |
Jumlek2411:You are yet to understand why so many American companies moved to China. Labor is expensive in America. Trust me , a piece of mask produced in the US may end up costing $100 as against $1 made in China. What do you expect when manufacturing yourself costs more than buying. You simply buy. Simply economic law |
Team Corona on nairaland no go use their sense. All they will be doing is singing China praise until China takes away their freedom from them and gift them all sorts of diseases. Asian flu of 1956 Sas in 2002 Bird flu of 2009 Coronavirus 2020 All of these diseases originated from China and killed hundreds of thousands of people. China no go kill us. One thing I’m just sure of. Is that the end of the world will not be caused by any Chinese pandemic. |
MrBrownJay1:Different categories of people are unemployed for different reasons. In the US for instance, no highly educated person doesn’t have a job where he is getting his earning from. Is it only McDonald’s job there is in the US? So why do you keep talking about McDonald’s? A highly educated person may choose not to work until he is able to get a job exactly and strictly in his area of discipline. Does that mean that he cannot take up a job in other areas? Does that mean those friends of yours are just wasting away at home without a job they are managing and paying their bills with for now? Of course no. They may be underemployed and of course, they are not working at McDonald’s. So go and ask those friends of yours. I have a close friend who is white. He is a medical doctor (highly educated right?) But his medical license was taken away from him because he breached the oaths of his job. He can’t work as a doctor anymore, but he takes up a job elsewhere, of course not McDonald’s. He may be underemployed. Of course he is employed. No highly educated person in the US doesn’t have a small job he is managing now until he lands his dream job. If he doesn’t, then he chooses to be unemployed until he gets his dream job and not because there’s no job. That’s the point I was trying to make. |
MrBrownJay1:Now you are coming out clearer. On the “B” part. Are those people whether they are flipping burger at McDonald’s employed or not? They are earning $10 with all the necessary benefits like health insurance and social security benefits added to it. You don’t call such people unemployed. Rather you need to say they are underemployed if they are qualified for a bigger job. In fact, there are some people that working at McDonald’s is the highest job they are qualified for since they have no qualifying education. Are you going to call them unemployed? So such people are not even qualified to get unemployment benefits from the government because they are seen as employed. Such people are not part of the unemployed in the US. Maybe if there’s a list for the underemployed, then they may be qualified |
MrBrownJay1:The picture you painted is not America alone picture. That will be the situation with every country under the lockdown. Nigeria included even when Nigeria’s case is even broken beyond remedy in the first place so to speak. We don’t have credible data in Nigeria, so no one will know the effect on employment in Nigeria. Every country under lockdown will lose some jobs. Why are you making it seem like it’s only American problem. No: It’s a global problem. Besides, that the number of jobs exceed the number of people looking for job in the US is an official fact for the past one year while unemployment rate was of course at 4%. Remember that the 4% rate includes people who are unemployed for different reasons such as people on disability, the homeless of which most of them are drug junkies or lazy folks who don’t just want to work (yes there are people like that in the US. They prefer to beg) hence cannot keep a job. These groups of people do not include people looking for job. Of course they are not. So my submission that number of jobs exceed the number of people looking for job is an official fact. That’s why you are still clueless on those two fronts. |
Obrigardo:You are clueless. People out of their job are so because their business obey the lockdown directive. Their jobs are simply hibernating. The companies reopen their door once the lockdown is over. Even restaurant workers are part of the group. They are out of their job not because there is lack of job. Before the pandemic. There were more jobs than people looking for jobs in the US and the employers were having a hard time keeping their workers since there were enough jobs everywhere. It’s official statement. |
Kobicove:You don’t argue what you don’t know. I haven seen a Chinese looking old man having sex with a chicken on a WhatsApp video when Coronavirus just started |
julybaba:Is this the same China some ignoramus are calling to take the place of the US leading the world. I spit on it. Shame shame shame on China |
How many time do I need to tell you guys that alllahu Akbar doesn’t meant anything about God. It’s a code language which simply means a call to attack and make trouble. Next time any one of you hear Allahu Akbar, please find a way of escape |
China concealed the extent of its coronavirus outbreak, under-reporting total cases and deaths from the pandemic, the American intelligence community concluded in a classified report to the White House, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing three US officials. They said that China’s public reporting on cases and deaths was intentionally incomplete, with two going so far as to say China’s numbers were fake. The outbreak began in China’s Hubei province in late 2019, but the country had publicly reported only about 82,000 cases and 3,300 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University, which compiles data on worldwide infections and deaths. That compares to more than 189,000 cases and more than 4,000 deaths in the US, which has the largest publicly reported outbreak in the world. China eventually imposed a strict lockdown, but there has been skepticism of China’s reported numbers, both outside and within the country, the news service reported. The medical community made — interpreted the Chinese data as: This was serious, but smaller than anyone expected,” she said at a press briefing Tuesday. “Because I think probably we were missing a significant amount of the data, now that we see what happened to Italy and see what happened to Spain.” Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday blamed China for concealing information when he was pressed on CNN about President Trump’s initial reaction to the pandemic, which Trump repeatedly downplayed and said would disappear like “a miracle” before taking a grimmer view on Tuesday, when he acknowledged that 150,000 Americans or more could die from the disease. SavageResponse:Chai! Suffering don be part and parcel of some people. So having no electricity is not worth crying for? You cannot cry but someone is helping you do the crying to the government. Instead of you to support her, this is all you can say. Why will I not always be thankful to have left the country soon enough. I can’t be in the same country with people that reason like some of you Do you all now see why the government is not the only problem but the people too. Some pulling it up while others are pulling it down . I was watching the video and I was getting angry even when the matter doesn’t concern me. Because I have seen what life is like with constant electricity. |
