Some Christians too are opposed to celebrating Easter and New Year. Some are opposed to Sunday worship. The scripture does not command celebrating any of those except Passover.

Some are saying I’m of Apollo while some are saying I’m of Peter. The church is full of confusion because of people like you. Hence the reason for these Bible verses. I quote it again. Apply it to your situations accordingly. So stay in your lane while others stay in their own lane as pointed out by the scriptures. We don’t have to agree 100% on everything. Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on the 25th December. Mind the word “would be celebrated “. Not that it declared that that’s the actual date. Russian orthodox Christians celebrate it in January I think 6th.

These two scriptures has answered it all. Nothing emotionally about it. No going back and forth about it. You just want to be self opinionated by ignoring what messages those verses are passing across.

On whether the birth of Jesus MUST be celebrated. There’s no must in it. It’s a matter of choice. Just be fully persuaded in your heart as touching what you are doing in the proper manner. That’s why I cannot vouch for others celebrating it because we all do stuff differently. The same way we all go to church on Sunday for different reasons. Maybe you can as well tell us in the Bible where it’s commanded to worship on Sunday. Bible did not ask us not to celebrate either.

As far as the date Dec 25 is concerned. There are so many conflicting conspiracy theories about it. Different unfounded story versions that are not fact. The only fact that I believe is that Pope Julius I officially declared that the birth of Jesus would be celebrated on the 25th December. Not that Jesus was born on Dec25. We all know that. So what’s the problem. Even so many conspiracies against Jesus while on earth. That dem say, dem say do not make it a fact.

You put your emotions aside and let people that are fully persuaded do their thing in worship unto God. The Bible that I quoted are explicitly clear on matters like this.

2. Who amongst the disciples/followers of Jesus celebrated his birthday while he was alive and after he was crucified?

3. How do they come about the date 25 December as the day Jesus was born? Whether or not the present day calendar was in use at the time Jesus was born, what calendar was in use that time and how did they arrive at the date 25 December?

4. How does father Christmas come into the picture, why is he called the "Father" Christmas of Jesus's birthday and why is it his responsibility to be sharing gifts?...Is he even in the bible?

5 How do you come about the killing of chicken on Christmas day? Is that even biblical?

No one can tell exactly the date of Jesus birth. We are not disputing date with you. Dec 25 was only officially adopted for the celebration and not as the actual date by the church and no one is claiming it’s the actual date. We know that.

I really do love this topic so much because am a victim. I left naija to America 2yrs ago with high Hope's but when I got there, things weren't as I felt, so I join the hustle, fast forward to the main topic, my brothers and sisters in naija, u are better off than most of us....I purposely stopped chatting and coming to Facebook because of, give me money nau, send me phone, laptop, iPhone etc, its horrible the way people come to facebook and the next thing is send me money. Some of them will just start calling u thru facebook without wanting to know the timeframes. It's bad really.

Wahala le kora yin si. You see, when I was in Nigeria before moving to the US, I had no friends. I mean no real friends. I was not that a cool guy with all the friends in the world. I was an introvert. Not cool at all right? I was not social. Of course I was good to everyone. Everyone that had the opportunity to know me liked my personality. I was not a fan of Facebook either. Technically, I didn’t have a Facebook. So no real Facebook friends. Fast forward to today in the US, I’m a change person with good social life with lots of friends here. That my past has really helped me. I have no friends asking me for money on Facebook. No friend has ever done that because I didn’t have one in the first place. Most of my Facebook friends are people I met here.
