Pls can someone that graduated in 2012 apply?
No harm in trying, know someone who finished in 2011 that applied and has not received a regret mail.

Mehn....I think the 2 days regret mail theory is invalid now. I got a regret mail 4 days after I finished my stuff.
Sorry for the regret mail bro.

I hope 4 days won't be the new norm. Maybe they've been following this thread and somehow found out that people were used to the 2 days, and so they've come with a new twist. Shell surely loves to innovate. grin

Success in your hustle bro.

Reading from the message above, I think they meant "assessment process," not "application process." I guess it's a programmed message by Cubiks, because this new Graduate Programme started since April 1. Moreover, many candidates all over the world did the same process. Just like one getting the working style report doesn't qualify or disqualify you. If really, they've gotten potential candidates as said in the above mail. They would've notified graduates to stop applying. My dear, it's not over till it's over. Application process is still on. Their HRs are brillant 2 use that
The message is clear. Both the application and assessment processes are not yet over. Interviews are also part of the assessment.

Ultimately, people will be dropped from on stage of the assessment process or the other till the lucky few receive their employment letters.

Pls is there a particular dress code for the interview?
Nothing stated.

But, If you are nonchalant like me, you may wear a Polo shirt.

If you are moderate, you may wear shirt and maybe tie.

If you are serious, you may wear a 3-piece suit with your shoes shined.

And if you are daring, you may wear Agbada.

Very plausible explanation, however, if you remember that these things are computerised and shouldn't take two days to screen people out, you begin to wonder. The personality section of the Shell Graduate Programme of 2015 screened people out immediately. You may still be right, but it's something to consider.
You've made a cogent point. Nothing is cast in stone though and there is no hard and fast way to the screening process.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Shell Nigeria Graduate Recruitment 2017 by DreManuel(m): 8:36pm On Jun 08, 2017
Here is MY theory: those who have gotten "regret" mails may have been screened out automatically by the assessment systems while those who may have made the "cut off marks" are still under review. I don't think HRs have started reviewing the applications yet until the deadline.

So I feel more regret mails will come later when actual reviews begin and selected few proceed.

When I applied in 2014, my application was "under review" for about 3 months after passing all the tests before they served me the so-called Love Letter, and I must confess, it was beautifully crafted.

While I'm not so excited about this new process, I can't afford to be pessimistic too. My hope battery is still fully charged.

How would have have tricked the system to score very high in all the 6 qualitieshuh I don't think its possible to do such
They have a way of asking the same questions in different ways. All I would do is be consistent with my answers and claim what I am not to score high there. Its no rocket science.

joekes:
How was workstyle chart like
Scored very low on some and very high on about 2 or 3. But I don't think there is pass or fail. It only shows your preference.

Trained HR understand that people can adapt in a controlled environment like work where you have KPI. Even the most assertive person can be flexible at work.

Note: I was just sincere in my answers, I could have gamed the system to have very high bars in all areas but then I won't be human.

I believe that one major component of personality tests is honesty. No human can have all those qualities, at least not in that %, imho. I am not sure, but it may come across as dishonest. Everyone has a weakness.
And for the fact that the results are subject to what is filled, it can make it even more suspect. No doubt, the results will form part of the decision making--the extent is what I don't know.

I understand quite alright but it is a major component of this first assessment. Check this out in what shell looks for!

Possibly but I don't think its the cause at this stage. This personality test is by no means exhaustive and conclusive.
Well said.

Olawales93:
Just observed that there is a result on that test sent to us to download!
This result shows;
Creativity 80%
Dependability 80%
Drive 70%
Assertiveness 100%
supportiveness 80%
adaptability 80%

Note: Count the number of arcs for each subsection/ability to calculate your scores.
Maybe that can be the reason for negative responses.
Possibly but I don't think its the cause at this stage. This personality test is by no means exhaustive and conclusive.

Please I just did my video interview and after completing it and it submitted. It showed something like outro video on the page and then on the screen, it showed continue so I kept on clicking on that continue but nothing came up so I thought to refresh the page and I did that and then it showed nothing. It just said the interview has been completed and is no longer available. All this long story is just because I want to find out if that outro video has any sort of implications on the result. Please I will appreciate any answers. Thank you
You are on the right track.

Hey bro/sis. How re you today? Yesterday is gone and it's a brand new day so i'm not in the mood to joining issues with you. But it's amazing how prejudice blind one true his/her senses.

As per having a long way to go in life, you are right about that. And I commend for making sense today.
Be that as it may, I still feel like an old Negro preacher who prayed thus;
Dear Lord, I ain't what I ought to be, I ain't where I wanna be, I ain't where I'm gonna be, but thank God I ain't where I was.

Enjoy!

Ain't disappointed at all, just feel Shell has lost someone who could have added value to their company. I personally have nothing to loose as I believe something better awaits me. We should all have similar belief instead of arguing with ourselves.
That's the mentality. If you can, read what Wladimir Klitschsco wrote after he lost to Anthony Joshua. You are winner nevertheless. At least you tried even when some didn't have the guts to do so. Go and and succeed man.

You can imagine the infringement. A good question would be if he could share his work personality test result; that should tell a lot. cool
And people like that don't understand the business world. Its a different education from dy/dx and so forth.

Let them start a successful business and in a bid to be liberal, divulge their trade secrets on a forum like this and expect to remain in business. Maybe Coca-cola should have told us what makes its Cola taste different from Pepsi, maybe we would all be making Coke today.

And when they get employed in Shell or wherever, let them keep revealing their employer's internal info and expect a pat on the back, even a promotion letter waiting on their desks.

I'm all for benevolence and rendering kind assitance and meaningful support wherever appropriate. But wisdom is profitable to direct.

I have charity for all and malice towards know. But anyone who traduces me verbally or typographically will reap same from me tacitly or expressly.

No pun intended, but don't you think this is excessive and dangerous. Everybody here spent time researching on how to take that interview, with no background question(s) to guide and some Samaritan just comes here to paste it. I rationally believe this is unfair. I am sure if each and everyone had this earlier on, we would have done better. Even the practice questions do not tell you that you answer the questions in a set form - "the situations/actions/outcome" My two cents. This is all shades of inappropriate mate...all shades!
Some have brains but do not think;
Some can't think cos they've no brains;
You have brains and you do think;
Glory be to God on high.

My brother that's what they do. Someone has to be mindful to beat the system. It's even worse at the embassies thats why they deny people visa and they wonder why.
