Don't put tax code. if you carefully read the advert or scholastica FAQs you would have seen where it was stated that it doesn't apply

Don't mind him please. I was reliably informed that what might cause the delay is the issue of venues due to the newly introduced centres. They said if they are able to find venues in all the centres by June 24, then the test will hold on July 1, but if they cant, the test will hold on July 8.

Phase 1



This phase of Assessment requires you to participate in multiple assessment exercises which will include the following:

· The assessment centre might last up to 9 hours; you are advised to keep your calendar free on your scheduled dates.

· The dress code for the assessment centre is Formal. (Men are advised to be formally dressed in a Black/ Blue/ Grey coloured Suit with a tie to match. While Ladies are advised to be formally dressed in a Black/ Blue/ Gray coloured skirt suit)

· Please come along with your writing materials.













Phase 2

This phase of Assessment will hold on Saturday, 17th June, 2017 and will only feature candidates who were successful in phase 1. Details of the second phase will be communicated on or before 9PM, Friday, 16th June, 2017.

Hello everyone. I hardly ever post here since I joined nairaland. I got a credible information regarding this scholarship, that is why I felt I should share it with everyone. I was informed few minutes ago by a family friend- who is amongst the top 5 in the management of the PTDF board (he is actually a department head)- that everything has now been set and candidates or rather shortlisted applicants will be invited for the test which is scheduled for July 1st. I swear to God I mean every bit of the info I'm passing here, except if any unforseen circumstances cause some changes.

Thank you my brother/sister for sharing this info. It's a great relief.

By the Grace of God, this will come to pass and no unforseen circumstance will change it. And that means by 24th of June we should receive invites for the test.

People reacted to his blatant insensitivity to those served "love letters" and not for calling Allah. You may ask him too whether he didn't later announce the receipt of his own love letter here.

You are at liberty to call the name of any deity you believe in whatsoever. But you should have let the facts lead you on this matter and not blind loyalty.

The funniest thing about this thread is I doubt if anyone made research about Shell in the first mail sent. it's almost 7 days since I received my assessment links but I haven't done it because am still on a strong research about them. Am doing my assessment 2mao because entering shell is like heaven on earth. you all should always be patient. God help us all

What do you need the "strong research" for in the preliminary assessments sent to you and the rest of us? To do the simple math/verbal or abstract, or to answer your work preference questions? I doubt if it will help you to answer more than one question in the video interview and that is; "Why do you want to join Shell?". I'm all for doing one's home work, but in this case of this Rolling type of Recruitment, delay can be dangerous! Good luck buddy!

What's working there like?

Fair, but remember I was painting a scenario. Also, shell is not that hard to get into and their recruitment is not so difficult compare to some companies. In addition, shell is a major coy that will always have a robust system, they need the staff, they need them to be Nigerians (NOGICDA) and their staff turn over is quite high; they don't have the luxury of being very selective. Especially now that they are using a new recruitment process: they don't have precedence for setting a comfortable benchmark.

I will paint 2 scenario using real life coys that have standards to keep for you:

GE is such coy, my friend works there in their US branch and they would love to recruit Nigerians more regularly but they did their research and concluded that our education system is "Junk". So they don't offer some of their best programs on Naija like their Edison program but they recruit once in a while and prefer experienced. Infact there was a time they were looking for graduate with GRE scores so that they can sponsor their higher education in US. That's a company with standards that's trying to adapt to their environment.

McKinsey and company on the other have standards they are not willing to compromise on. They invite you for their PST (although their ADH uses shl). They have a strict cut off mark, meet it or get a reject, after which you will need to survive a serious of interviews (case studies and Co, they even offer you tutorials before these interview, gives you an idea how difficult they are). Infact, their recruitment process is so hard that they hire less than one percent of the applications they receive. You have a better chance getting into stanford or Harvard mba program.

In summary, I don't believe their is such a strict benchmark else people would have received and instant rejection minutes after their cognitive test. They wouldn't have even bothered allowing you clog their severs with you plenty stories about why we want plenty more....oh sorry I mean why we want to work for shell

Caveat: Abeg no reference anything above ooo, na some facts mixed with observations and some assumptions.

FYI, GE offers Edison in Nigeria. I know 2 or 3 Edisons and I've been to the final interview of the same. But you are right, its about the best entry program in the world at GE. Although you said we shouldn't reference anything cos you don't have all the facts, but I thought I could shed light on this assumption you made.

Nevertheless, it's an added advantage to have a foreign degree to get into most of these multinationals esp GE. But abeg, if you know any such opportunities for people with GRE scores, I full ground o. In fact my result is just about 6 months old and a bit competitive.
