Well said brother. I took my time to give honest answers to the question during the personality assessment. Just can't remember any phrase that has to do with been creative ( I scrolled back and forth many times before I submitted). I still wonder where they got that from..

Questions like "I am a person who always find new ways to solving a problem" point to creativity.

You shouldn't be bothered at all. The results are not conclusive and they by no means indicate how you will behave in real sense when you are given unfamiliar task at work which needs creativity.

If you score very high on abstract thinking, that's a better indication that you are creative and one you are in a work environment that requires that, your creativity will come to play.

For instance, on my current job, you aref required to follow standardized procedures and guidelines, so you often have to keep your creativity to your pocket and follow the rules.

I think the Hirevue app reads our facial expression and rates us on a 5 scale system.. 5 star is a Yes, 4 star is Maybe and the others is No.. It records your voice projection, Eye contact, your facial expression (eyebrow, cheek and all) and gives feedback to shell.. believe you me, the Hirevue app has screened a lot out.. Shell HR team will only have to work with those with 5 stars and probably the 4 stars(Maybe) rating
I gathered all this info from the Hirevue site and users review.. All the best guys.. Did mine 2 hours ago and all I got was this Cubiks assessment result (she said I wasn't Creative). I can't remember seeing any that talks about creativity tho.. Well, it's just their own assessment, not Shell's..

This is my 3rd time of going through this process with Shell so I guess I'm not as bothered or too excited as first timers here and I'm emotionally detached from any of the outcomes.

But one thing I know about personality test is this; people can't have same qualities to the same degree and there are no right or wrong answers. In fact, no organization wants to have a team filled with people having the same working styles. That's why its good to be true to yourself and not merely tick what you think they want to hear. They ask the same question in different ways and the software can know if you are lying. I did that in 2013 and that was why I failed the first stage - Personality test. I didn't proceed to 2nd stage - cognitive test. So I had to wait another year. But this year is different and even more interesting.

Meanwhile during my interview, I focused mainly on myself as seen on the screen while barely looking at the lens. I guess I wanted to see my reactions as I proceeded. That took place on Friday night.

Cognitive test was done on Sunday morning.

Apart from the working style test I've not gotten any feedback. All I heard was I've done my part and now is for shell to do thier part.

Will the person take the same test? How would there be fairness if some people are supervised and one person is not? Like the use of Calculator. Or the person you know is a special candidate?

Why don't we all write online from wherever we are? Hope it's not too late for me to claim that I'm out of the country so I can have mine online too?

Hotspot did it for me without no hitch. Well, get whatever you need to make you successful but I don't think one should overtly be finicky about this whole thing.

Don't mind the kids. They think they are still in school where you collabo and nothing much is at stake. There is no cooperation here but competition. This platform is just to share info about the recruitment exercise without letting out your competitive advantage. Businesses in the same industry also confer to talk about changes in the industry and government policies but nobody goes there to reveal their trade secrets. This is the corporate world! This is the business world! This is competition! Compete or die is an old saying in the business world. Yes, life is not all about Shell and Shell is not all about life. But you've got to be smart. No, not necessary. Once there is CCTV camera around you, you can connect your laptop to it through infrared, and do your interview facing the CCTV camera.

Abi na make them dey wait. They don't know that this is cognitive test and PQs have little to do with it. They may think they are smart by waiting and asking those that have attempted the test for tips before proceeding. Hmmmm, make una hear wetin Abraham Lincoln say;

"Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle".

It is clear from the advert that this recruitment is on a ROLLING BASIS meaning as roles are filled, the positions are taking off the shelve immediately so they are not waiting for anyone even when they said deadline is 14th June. Good luck to those still waiting.
