Let he that has no sin cast the first stone. Where is repentance of forgiveness in your holy book? A sinner can always turn a new leaf. All those critiquing and calling for his head have skeleton in their own cupboard too.

Don't think so, name one bridge completed by any Nigerian company ?
Come and see Nigerians building bridges and doing heroic surgeries and doing business abroad. It’s because they have been trained to use their intellect and be creative. We have the capacity but there is no training in Nigerian educational system to be self-sufficient.

Yeah work internships, but that doesn't train you to become enterpreneural.

It takes more than coding to build an Amazon for example, you need to know how to hire, raise capital etc.

I think it's innate ,not something you acquire.

You can intern with some tech company but actually creating stuff depends on your capacity.
Are you suggesting that Nigerians have no capacity?

Does any system actually train people to be enterpreneurs ? I doubt.

You can study business administration or technical skills, that I know .

It takes guts, smarts and capital to wake up one day and say I want to create a PayPal .
You are dead wrong. This training starts from secondary schools in developed societies and goes further in university. You get attached to industries and various opportunities open to you in your field. Ask anyone who went abroad for their degrees.

Thumbs up to her.

Later one old man will be calling us lazy Nigerian Youths...
It’s the fault of the system that is not designed to train people for entrepreneurship. We are being trained to be employed. Otherwise we should be creating the jobs for ourselves using our ingenuity.

How does that change the fact that Isa pantami is a potential terrorist that is unworthy of any serious govt position.
Comparing Jonathan with Buhari is a disaster. Jonathan openly sided with corrupt people and sacked whistleblower like Sanusi. He is a disaster anytime.

This is one of culture shock we were talking about. They don’t worship the leaders in the west. The leaders worship the masses. Because the votes of the masses count, and they are the majority. The day every vote counts in Nigeria to elect a leader, that will be the day they start to worship us.

I remember as a 100L student at UNN back in 2001, I filled my course registration form and wrote my course adviser's name " Mr Phil - Eze" without adding the prefix "Dr" (didn't know he was a Dr). I took it to him for signing, omo, the guy walked me out of his office because of the oversight. He said it's people like me that join cult and harass Lecturers.
That’s what’s killing us in Nigeria. Our culture of hero worship is making the powerful to oppress the less privilege. Cleaners will address professors as “mate” in U.K. When our politicians come visiting abroad, they are nonentities on the streets. But when they come home in Nigeria they are worshipped by the poor like gods. I am sure they prefer to stay in Nigeria where they are worshipped as compared to U.K. where nobody reckons with them on the streets.
TravelRe: Nigerians Abroad Share Funny Incidents Of Culture Shock. by drlateef: 1:32pm On Apr 17, 2021
Calling them Professor this, Dr that, engineer this, it makes them freak out. They think you are trying to “bribe” them. It puts them off completely. Better stick to their first name, even if he is old enough to be your dad. It took me sometime to adjust to that. And I was looked on with suspicion until I adapted to it.

Many of our boys have entered trouble with their girls who flirt with them. Our men are too quick to misread their signals. And they got their fingers burnt big time. Some of them spent time in prison for sexual harassment.

Another thing is looking down instead of looking straight in their face during conversation. If you look down in U.K., you are timid. In Dubai, looking straight in the eyes of a woman brings you trouble.

You dare not help a fallen old woman on the street, you might be in trouble. Call the ambulance and leave her, don’t help her to stand.

Never you walk on the same side of the street while a woman is coming directly at you. She will feel threatened unless it’s a busy street. Choose to cross to the other side especially at night.

Yes, we have used a blender for 1 year and returned to John Lewis. They replaced it even though nothing wrong with it.

Like Kenya, like Ethiopia.

The secret lies in living in regions with high altitude. Like Kenya, most of their marathon winners are from Iten. Iten sits nearly 8,000 feet above sea level in western Kenya.

Those living in the region get to train with the high altitude from a tender age, coupled with motivations and good diets, they keep dominating the global athletic hemisphere.

Come to Nigeria, our own plateau is a center of Fulani herdsmen killing and religious conflicts angry angry

But damn, I couldn't help zooming in on the chest region grin grin

RomanceRe: Why Do Females Celebrate Relationships And Marriage More? Opinion by drlateef: 5:08am On Apr 08, 2021
Yes women are more emotional and celebrate relationship or marriage because they count themselves among the lucky ones. They feel more pressure to get engaged and marry than men. And having their own children is seen as fulfilment for many. But if you are in a feminist infested environment the situation is different. The females over there only get happy when they see someone screwing them hard from time to time. They care less about having children or forming long lasting relationships. They also care less about the money or marrying a rich man. I have seen female doctors marrying a mechanic. And if there no men around they pick their female folks for lesbian relationships. There are huge cultural differences and behavioural characteristics among women in the world. But one thing so common to all females everywhere is that they NAG the man into a hole. I am not sure if they nag their fellow females in a lesbian relationship.

PoliticsRe: It’s Now Buhari’s Turn To Support Tinubu For 2023, Say Ondo Monarchs by drlateef: 8:00am On Apr 07, 2021
PHijo:
Since 1999 till date the North has never supported a Southerner in an election a Northerner contested. There was nothing strategic in his move. In 2023 the North will turn her back on Tinubu.

2023 is not 1999 when there was a consensus amongst the Northern elite that a Yoruba should be president.

If Tinubu wants to remain relevant he has to support a credible candidate from the South East, Niger Delta or Middle belt.
It’s not strategic at all to support any southeast candidate in APC because they will lose monumentally. PDP is running in the blood of an average southeastener. And north supported Obasanjo and also voted for Abiola against Tofa. So you are wrong in your logic.
PoliticsRe: It’s Now Buhari’s Turn To Support Tinubu For 2023, Say Ondo Monarchs by drlateef: 7:51am On Apr 07, 2021
Iyajelili:
For God's sake we shouldn't have someone like Tinubu or those old crooks as presidentual candidates in this era. They are part of the reasons we are here today as a nation, that was how Buhari was repacked for Nigerians and now look at the untold suffering amidst heavy corruption we are facing right now.
Lagos is a better place today because of the foundation laid by only two people. Jakande and Tinubu. Lagos is the fifth largest economy in Africa. Every Nigerian sees Lagos as their London. Yes Tinubu supported Buhari for strategic reasons. Tinubu could not have won the election against Jonathan. He needed to support Buhari who has been testing the waters and has majority in the north. The next is for the north to support Tinubu this time. Tinubu is far better than Buhari as an intelligent strategist, a builder and moulder of leaders who can perform. He is definitely better than Buhari in all ramifications. I replied you because I feel you are genuinely misled.

Your conscience will decide.

But I'm sure most people will tell you to take it to your grave. ..

What I do know is that you may never have peace of mind until you confess... plus these things always find a way of blowing up in people's faces at the most unexpected time.
Confessing to your creator and believing He has forgiven you should be enough to have a rest of mind. Confessing it to all other sinners does not raise your status no guarantee forgiveness. Rather it will worsen your situation.

Professionals from the North, East, South and West were forcefully converted to Christianity? Are you not ashamed to promote such bare faced lies? Who are the "professionals" who were "forcefully" converted to Christianity? Please respect your age and stop making a fool of yourself over a very simple issue.
I have advised you to ask your parents. They will tell you how many Muslim children were forcefully converted before they could go to Christian schools of those days. That’s one of the reasons for government acquiring those schools at the time.
PoliticsRe: NSCIA Criticizes CAN, Provides List Of Justices, Their Religions by drlateef: 5:58pm On Mar 30, 2021
TruthHurts1:
The truth is that appointing Justices into the Court of Appeal just for the purpose of balancing religious quotas is wrong and that is what the latest appointment is seeking to do.

The reason why Christians seem to dominate the composition of the Court of Appeal at present lies in the fact that Christians have historically always taken education more seriously than muslims. It wasn't because of quota systems or preferential treatment that most Court of Appeal judges are Christians, in the same way that most professors, medical doctors, lawyers, engineers, architects, software engineers in Nigeria are Christians. Plain and simple, taking education seriously pays off.
Very despicable comment. Many of those so-called professionals you mentioned were forcefully converts to Christianity by the Christian school proprietors of those days. If you are not old enough to know that ask your parents. And those judges were appointed by a Christian president of the court of appeal after due process. But the jaundice in your eyes will make you to make spurious claims that they were appointed to correct religious imbalance without any evidence. Many of you will never use common sense so long as religious bigotry continue to becloud your sense of reasoning and logic.
