Politics › British PM Threatens Aid Cut 2 African Countries Where Homosexuallism Is Illegal by drnoel(op): 10:23am On Sep 09, 2012
Tanzania, Zanzibar, and other East African states have said they will not accept overtures from United Kingdom to grant legal rights to homosexuality.

Zanzibar President Ali Mohammed Shein on Thursday said his government will not abide by demands from Britain to introduce laws to protect members of the gay community.

"That is an issue not acceptable in this society and we are not going to amend or introduce any laws to grant such rights," Shein told journalists.

The Zanzibar President spoke on a day that Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Mr Bernard Membe and his Gender, Children and Community Development counterpart, Ms Sophia Simba, spoke strongly against the UK's push for the common wealth to officially embrace gays.

Like Dr Shein, the two ministers said Tanzania will not yield or succumb to pressure of any kind following UK Prime Minister David Cameron's threats to cut development aid to countries that did not recognise gay rights.

"Changing the law simply because we need aid is next to impossible. We have our values. That is not acceptable; we would rather do without it," declared Dr Shein.

The Zanzibar President was speaking at a meeting in State House during a wide ranging interview during which he gave an overview of his administration's performance in the one year of Zanzibar's Government of National Unity.

In Dar es Salaam, Mr Membe, said Tanzania will not listen to any country that tried to influence its decisions regarding whether to accept the unnatural sex relations.

"We have our own culture and it should be known and understood that we shall not receive any command from anywhere using whatever sanctions to undermine our way of living. UK should understand this," the minister said at a press conference in his office.

It was the first major statement by the State following recent remarks attributed to Mr Cameron, who was quoted as threatening aid cuts to countries that continue to ban the practice which has taken root mainly in the western world. The UK position was raised informally during the recent meeting of the Commonwealth Heads of State in Perth, Australia. President Jakaya Kikwete and Mr Membe represented Tanzania.

On Wednesday, Mr Membe termed as "dangerous," the move by UK to tie aid to the gay issue.

UK's Queen Elizabeth II is the custodian of common wealth club comprising 54 states that were formally colonised by Britain. It was reported that during the Perth meeting, only 13 countries were receptive of the Cameron advances.

Kenya and Uganda have also voiced opposition on the same matter. Officials in these countries said they would rather miss aid than approve gay movement.

My opinion is simple. If these countries bend then Africa really has no hope in this mordern world.

if the man felt it was not necessary to tell your friend that he was dating another girl then A) he never thought he was dating her and B) all the crap talk about being honest was BS........so your frioend is better off with her life, than dating some psycho.

2mch: Have your husband tell him to calm down so he doesn't get hypertension. But not in front of you or tell him you suggested. You see, our parents become like our kids as they grow older. They listen to us so they don't drive us away or keep their grandkids away.this depends on the kind of spouse you have. Hopefully when you fight, he does not tell his family you are irritated by them. undecided. I suggest you mind your business. The guy is the head of that family and no one will take an insult from you.
if only that wld work

I will be 25yrs in 3 months time and my mum has started acting funny already (tho I'm the first child). Romance › But he was using her Bottom as a makeshift pillow... by drnoel(op):
Guys, I have a story to share with u guys. Its true in all counts cos I know who it happened to.

A couple started dating recently, lets say 3 months. They were still getting 2 know themselves. He knew she liked him very much and he loved being with her. They both agreed 2 be honest and speak plainly 2 each other and not hide anything.
She didn't tell her bf/spouse that she was coming 2 see him till she got 2 where he stays. She then called him on the mobile 2 know where he was and he told her he was home and that she should please come up 2 his apartment. As she got to his flat, he was fully clothed but lying on the edge of the divan with another woman that she didn't know watching TV. Both were fully clothed but the other woman lay face-down and her bf/spouse lay face-up and was using the other lady's ass as a sort of pillow.
Her bf/spouse calls her name as she walked in and says "sweety please come, come in. How now, God I've missed u. Am glad u came". He was still lying on the bed with his head on the make-shift pillow (the other womans ass), he didn't jump out of the bed like she caught him doing something bad.

To even add insult 2 injury he tells his gf, "sweety come and meet someone, this person is called,....., she is my new girl friend.

Would u leave the house immediately and walk away or would u stay and try 2 understand what is enfolding before ur eyes?

Well the woman in question was so shocked that she almost had a heart attack. She just sat there, she couldn't cry or laugh, she just sat there looking at the two or them.
The questions are; What would u do if u were in that situation?
Would u leave the house immediately and walk away or would u just stay and try 2 understand what is enfolding before ur eyes?

Lemme see if i can find the link.[/quote]don't believe anything like that until u see it happening or u met someone that is personally involved in the project.

Cutejay: First ansa yes am ready 2 marry him. 2ndly am not a sex addict it jst happened that i never liked it at all then, it was a personal thing not cuz the other guy i dated was not good in bed ofcourse he was but we just didn't have a connection. But i found som1 whom we connect in everyway not just the sex cuz we dnt do that all the time(maybe 1nce in a month). Thanks for your advice i wouldnt f*ck it all the way cuz thats not my priority in the relationship,av got other serious stuffs in my life to do than just banging. Sorry i forgot to add sex is not the only thing that makes up the 80% infact its just 10% out of the 80%.. *winks*
now now now madam, don't run away with ya sef. No one care how many times u sleep with ur new guy (scratches his ear) that was rather too much information. Besides we all know u and him do it more than that once a month because sex has no time table, its should just happen with ur partner and not be given a routine time.

Romance › Re: My Family Wants Me To Marry For Money. by drnoel: 9:49pm On Sep 06, 2012
septua: But my mum and my aunty have been begging me to marry him as we are sort of going through financial breakdown and they see him as a kind of saviour.
Plus my mums pastor says he has seen the marriage in vision before now.
If you ask me I would say ur mum and her pastor only saw the man's money in their vision which by the way is normal due to as u have said ur family's financial constraint.

septua: So i ask please will you consider your family and go into the marriage or wait for your love.
At the end of the day, I expect you would do what u've decided to do. I do hope you make the right decision though, but be adviced that no advise one gives u, here on NL or at home would be right but the one u give urself. That said, I expect u'd stamp ur feet on the floor with irritation but thats all I got 2 say.

jennykadry: ^^Good one. When I was on school prac in the hospital during my Uni days, Abortion was one of the procedure I ticked off as not interested to see/watch. I would go into the theatre and watch every procedure but abortion and I will never be a partaker of it physically.

Our neighbours Daughter was preggers @ 16, her mother made a deal with a health professional to either kill the baby or give it out immediately she is brought into this world. I remember hearing that it was an old Benin midwife that told the girl the truth. This girl ran away from lagos and had her baby in another state. Fast forwrd to present day, this same girl they wanted to kill after she was born, finished her secondary school education with scholarship. Her mother and step dad sent her to UK to study medicine and she came out as one of the best student, she actually was the best i think they said in her 5th year. She is a well known Dr in the UK as we speak, come and see her grand parents claiming grand daughter, someone they never wanted to hear, cry her first cry.
